Kursed
Isn't that a little too complicated for a Starfox game? It's not exactly "pick up and play". it's alot simpler than it looks as the game runs you through the controls in a training mission... and controls and hud Color is fully customizable. Shadows of Lylat is dumbing the Freespace 2 controls down. It's unlikely that all the complicated controls will be in the game.

DZComposer
Falcory is right, to an extent. There won't be repair ships or anything like that. But, you guys have to remember: This is a mod. The controls will resemble FS2 because it IS FS2. But to be honest, the controls feel natural. A joystick helps a ton. You could use a game pad as well, as they look like joysticks to games, but with either a few things you will still need the keyboard for. If you feel targeting to be too complicated, the game has an auto-target function.
Kursed
it allso has a match speed function and you can turn a auto feature on to match speeds as you targets change.. but trust me once you play the training you will understand it I picked up the first game and was a instant ace. Andrew McCloud
Glad to see SoL getting more attention (seems there wasn't as good reception to the trailer at aL) I'm very excited to do the interview with one of the project leaders next week, it should help get more people attuned with what this game is really gonna be like. Kursed
oh well.... I can still hope Unless they've uped the graphics on FSO i doubt thats the actual game graphics.
DZComposer
They HAVE upped the graphics in FSO. A LOT. In order to make the changes, they dumped DirectX. FSO uses Open GL (one of the reasons FSO can run on Mac and Linux). Only thing in the trailer that is not in-game is the scene where the camera flies through Lylat, zooming in on Fichina. Awesome! 64-style is awesome too. Wasn't they looking for voice actors not long ago? So, if they were, then that means they'll be voiced. :(

"Bip-biddip! bip-biddip!" like in the first Star Fox for SNES. xD The latest trailer for Shadows of Lylat is awesome!
