Um I heard the creators lost interest, thats too bad.

You do realize that DZ plays a part in Shadows of Lylat, right? :P

I am interested about the game! Stumbled across it after playing some Star Fox then Eve online. =3

The FSO engine is good in my opinion and should fit the concept of the game really well.

Yeah it seems like the last update the team did was in June 2010.

That doesn't really do anything. Besides, I'm sure they got better things to do IRL than make a Starfox game.

Dormancy is the new productivity.

The team hasn't disbanded, and there is still desire to finish it. It's just that real life happened. A few of the guys got into the industry and now work for dev houses. The modern gaming industry is very deadline-driven, so by the time you get home from work you don't really feel like mucking with models or programming.

I think what led to this is that the FSO engine wasn't ready for what we wanted to do, and we ended up waiting for things, and then ended up waiting for people, etc. as people's lives continued forward. At least one team member had a kid, too.

So, in summary, Shadows is dormant, but not dead.

I'm Psygonis, Concept Artist for the SoL team.

I'd like to offer some update to what DZ said some... months ago.

Currently, we have a lot of IRL issues throughout the team so yeah, we're not releasing a lot of stuff right now. Also, with the future release of SF64-3D, we think that it wouldn't be the right time to come out of the mist. So we're also keeping low-profile for the moment.

As DZ said, "dormant but not dead". We are going through core changes right now and we'll make sure this is worth the wait.

Don't expect stuff going online too soon, for these things take quite some time to be done the right way, but still, expect stuff... ;)
