Guest Julius Quasar
I still think Andross gave James to the Aparoids. Yeah, I think either that or that James escaped capture from Andross by stealing Pigma's Arwing, after Peppy escaped and arrived back at Corneria, James then helped Fox escape Andross' Palace, but the Arwing he was in crashed on Venom (ran out of fuel, perhaps?), and when he was stranded on Venom's surface, the Aparoids might've got him, or just one or a few Aparoids might've got him.... Russell and I believe that, although there's no evidence of it....
Zwolf
I still think Andross gave James to the Aparoids. Why do you think that? Yeah, I know the comic isn't canon. It's just widely accepted. Exactly, Fox was 20 something there right? And in Star Fox 64 he is 18, so these events take place in separate universes. Well... He's a different age in the original SF as well. He gets younger in SF 64. The games don't technically go in order at the start. The original SF isn't really considered canon either.
evilwaffles
The story only takes canon at 64 and beyond (until Command, curse you Q Games!).
Zwolf
Yeah, Q Games really screwed the series over. Now all the games are going to be prequels, or in between the older games.
evilwaffles
I hope that the next developer (who I pray is Retro or the EAD) will completely erase command from the storyline, too depressing. From the best of my knowledge the Aparoids were loyal to their Queen and so they would have infected Andross if he handed James over therefore he would be part Aparoid. Zwolf
Where are you guys getting this "Andross gave James to Aparoids" thing?
evilwaffles
Some one suggested it and so I am trying to prove that it is fake by the facts the games have given us.
Falcory
Where are you guys getting this "Andross gave James to Aparoids" thing? James HAD to be assimilated at one point for the Queen to use his voice. Plus in Command James is suddenly playable. This may be because once Starfox defeated the Queen, James went back to being normal along with everybody else. Some one suggested it and so I am trying to prove that it is fake by the facts the games have given us. Whoa. Dude. What did I do to you? Just because I made a suggestion you want to prove it wrong? And by the way, Andross might have CREATED the Aparoids. Shoot, he's made tons of other Bio-weapons...

It fits. Besides I still stand by what I said originally. The Queen used James voice and to do that, he HAD to be assimilated at some point. 2)Oh okay. I did forget this was a debate thread for a second... 3) Well of course it's not proven, but it's a strong theory. Aparoids seem to be somewhat mechanical in nature so I think it's safe to assume that they were made by somebody. My bet's on Andross.
evilwaffles
Don't get me started at why Command should be completely ignored in form of story...
Falcory
Don't get me started at why Command should be completely ignored in form of story... Teh. I KNOW WHY COMMAND should be ignored. I want to know why you think James showing up IN Command didn't count as proof to the Aparoid theory...
evilwaffles
I count James being a figment of Fox's imagination, why you can play as him I got no clue.

Most of all, Krystal isn't even herself and trying to twist F-zero with Star Fox??? (changed mistake)

Guest LoftyBird
Fixed. So I suppose this is a new topic, erase Command from the storyline? I think the topic was already on erasing/ignoring Command and about James. But it's really your choice if you want a new topic. :panther:

Zwolf
I count James being a figment of Fox's imagination, why you can play as him I got no clue. Then, for the level that James is playable, how can you kill the Emperor with him?

The Queen is using information from all the things she's absorbed." - Slippy, Assault This doesn't prove that he WASN'T (The absorbed part, not technically meaning infected by Aparoids), but "information" could be memories, as well. Which all of the people who DO talk to Fox, have. Pigma, Peppy, General Pepper, and ROB would all have memories of James, and the Queen COULD have used that. "Went back to being normal along with everybody else"? Yeah, Pigma's looking REAL normal in Command.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Well, any other debatable topic I'd like to bring up is are Krystal's parents still alive and Krystal's just so traumatized she's been trekking the galaxy for no reason in particular? Zwolf
How likely is it that ONE person from a "doomed" planet survives? You only see that in the movies. Think about if the Earth, let's say... The greenhouse gases made the planet to hot to be habitable. I'm sure we could think of something before we all died, like we made shelters underground or something. (Like Fallout 3) I find it hard to believe that she's the only Cerinian left. ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Exactly, that's why in some of my fanfics Krystal runs into at least a couple hundred thousand surviving Cerinians, including her parents.
Falcory
"Oh, I get it. The Queen is using information from all the things she's absorbed." - Slippy, Assault Exactly. THINGS SHE'S ABSORBED. Slippy never said that Aparoids could read minds and Aparoids have never shown that they could. So it's safe to assume that she ABSORBED James. Guest Julius Quasar
In SF 64, I noticed Wolf O' Donnell has an eye patch, and to me, that would make it really hard for him to fly...as Mr. Krystal told me in another reply to a post where I mentioned this, it may not ruin his depth perception for FLYING, but it would ruin his field of vision. I've yet to meet an actual active pilot with only one working eye. I think that Nintendo noticed this too, that's why after that, you see Wolf with a bionic eye implant instead of a patch, and that's okay... ndf
Exactly. THINGS SHE'S ABSORBED. Slippy never said that Aparoids could read minds and Aparoids have never shown that they could. So it's safe to assume that she ABSORBED James. Just because Slippy didn't say the aparoid's can read minds, doesn't necessarily mean she absorbed James. There's no evidence they can't either, so it could just as easily be the other way around. Teh dictionaryz defines absorbed as: To take something in mentally. To see, read, or hear something and understand it fully. So if The Aparoid Queen absorbed Pigma, she'd know about James. This may be because once Starfox defeated the Queen, James went back to being normal along with everybody else. General Pepper was forced to retire, and Pigma was like a pizza box. <.<
