Zwolf
I've been thinking about it lately. I have an idea for what the markings on the arms are for, but something about the thigh marks is bugging me... My opinion, is that the marks on the thigh is the Cerinian's form of a surname, like a family's crest. Now, I'm not here to argue if what I think is right or not, at least not yet. And please don't post in here what YOU think the marks are for. We can do that later. Right now, I wanna figure this out. I'm wondering, if the thigh markings are the family's crest... Do they have them when they are born? Or. Is it "tattooed" on later?
evilwaffles
Tattooed or inked, it appears to be the most logical.
Zwolf
Yeah, that's what I thought for a long time, but then I started getting more detailed with what the marks do and stuff when a family member dies, or stuff like that. It's for my Fan-Fic. See, I'm thinking this mark is more than that. I think Cerinians had a better reason to use marks than surnames. For example, let's say your dad and your uncle both have children. You and your cousin have the same last name, but aren't in the same immediate family. Cerinians thought this was annoying and developed a mark system instead. The marks magically change when the family goes through a divorce, or when a couple gets married. In the case of marriage, the marks of the husband and wife would sort of mix together, making a completely new one.

I donno if having it on them when they were born would really work cuz as they grow because Krystal has fur I think it's a form of Fur dye just used in very little incrediments so possibly it is a tatto. and good point what do those things mean are they something to do with her family or are they just the normal Cerinian Tatoos? Also if they were born with them Marcus would clearly have some so it's obviously something from her homeworld.

(Corneria) Joe Smith. Surname = Smith. (Cerinia) Joe. Surname = Thigh marking Well... DOES Marcus have them? The only pictures we have from Nintendo don't show anything, but that doesn't rule it out, exactly.
Kursed
Good point it could be or it could be the family coat of arms.
evilwaffles
Then what about the markings on her arm? That could very well be her coat of arms but we will never know as Nintendo will most likely never reveal major things about Krystal's past. Kursed
Then what about the markings on her arm? more and don't forget the one just above her tail.
Zwolf
More explaining time... We humans have genetics and we are all specialized in certain aspects, like athletic, smart, good personality, etc, etc... My belief is that Cerinians work this way as well. Obviously, for certain features like fur color, height, weight... Those are all genetics. Personality also has some influence from genetics. Now, to the real question. Just like some people are good in Math, some in English, or Science, or whatever... I think there are different phases or forms or techniques that a Cerinian can learn with their telepathy. And, just like every other part of their body, the telepathy ability grows and evolves. For example, one Cerinian could be very good at sensing one far away target, while another could be more skilled in sensing multiple targets at once. The markings on the arm change as their telepathic abilities grow and change. Like the thigh marks, these are inked/tattooed into the fur some time after birth, and before adulthood. They are inked on EVERY Cerinian, but very few have a use for them. You see, the "elders" or whatever, used these arm markings as a more efficient "draft" into the army/hunter groups. When a child possessed a certain band (I refer the arm markings as bands) on their arm, they may be conditioned to be a fighter when they grow up. The "Warrior's Band", is the most combat-specified type of telepathy, but I can't go into detail about that yet...
Falcory
I think Krystal's markings are tattoos that show she is royalty of some sort. I say this because she also wears jewels that seem to be of high marking.
Kursed
I think the thighs are a coat of arms and I'm not sure about the others ,but the arm bands could be something like what Zwolf said ,but that stil doesn't explain the tatoo just above her tail

evilwaffles
Yes but in tribes there is one thing that makes the royal or nobals stand out from the rest.

evilwaffles
Look at her clothing form Adventures, she comes from a distant planet that could very well be natives (this is strongly backed up by her clothing) and therefor there must be different tribes/colonies. Zwolf
Well her clothes kind of suggest that. And those clothes are Cerinian?... Before we derail this more, let's shift this conversation over here. Right now, I wanna figure out if that "white blur" above her tail really IS a marking, or just fur. It looks more like a marking, and that's gonna SUCK, 'cause then I have to think of something completely new for it...

She was also raised on Sauria due to her premature stay on Cerinia the clothes are Saurian ,but her staff is Cerinian. otherwise she would have probalby refused to wear that jumpsuit On Assault.
