Sabre
To all those who think Krystal is 'hot'. Freak! Furfags! Other mean stock insults to something that I couldn't really care about! On the idea that women are judged more on their looks. I say maybe, but it's not mens fault. (Not that any blame was made) and men are under quite a bit of scrutany too. One thing about the objectification of women is that women do it to other woman. Celebrities in revealing clothes with sexy come hither big boy stares can been doing exactly the same on the cover of womens magazines. Just wanted to throw that out there. PKMichael
On the idea that women are judged more on their looks. I say maybe, but it's not mens fault. (Not that any blame was made) and men are under quite a bit of scrutany too. Naturally. While women are judged by their looks, men are judged by their reactions to said looks, and because of this men are generally considered to be lecherous, unfaithful, manipulative, and stupid, among other things. You can see this reflected in just about every sitcom in existence. However, I'd still say women have had it worse. This is my major issue with Krystal; at some point she might have had some potential (even despite the dreadful clothing choices), but as of now she's done little but serve as a paradigm of negative female stereotypes. One thing about the objectification of women is that women do it to other woman. Is that how babby was formed? I think I missed the memo on that one. =O Celebrities in revealing clothes with sexy come hither big bog stares can been doing exactly the same on the cover of womens magazines. I can't argue with this. However, since it happens on both sides of the gender line, what matters most is the perception of the individual. There are the women who will read these types of magazines and follow every darn thing they say, following trends and the like, and then there are the women who see the magazines for what they are. Whether or not these women actually read the magazine is irrelevant; what matters is that they know their lives aren't dictated by them. That's a big problem with Krystal fanboys, and Twilight fangirls, if you want a female example, and...well...all types of fanpersons in general. You can choose to like whatever you want, but you shouldn't try to graft yourself onto what you like. Saying you're in love with Krystal or Edward is just a lie. Because it's not "love" at all. It's a superficial attraction, and you have to be willing to see it as such. When you do that, you'll discover that such an attraction is nowhere near worthy of the amount of attention it's getting. ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
If he wasn't...he'll have to face Sasha! Anyway, I like Krystal because she's beautiful in more ways than one. That, and she usually looks so cuddly, which is what a fox is supposed to be, doesn't matter if she's a blue furred E.T.
Kursed
Personally, I think they detract from the character, and basically are just to grab the attention of horny teenage boys. = Krystal doesn't seem the type to go around in skin-tight outfits with the chest open, and I'd imagine she'd wear something more conservative than that. Sauria? Well, she's an arctic fox, and Sauria's got a tropical climate. That, and it seems more like a traditional outfit rather than an eyecandy one, though I could see why someone would assume that it's for eyecandy. Granted, there are women out in the Amazon who go topless and they're not doing it to be 'hot'. It's just how they dress, and it's accepted in their culture. This could also be because I'm a girl though, and because I don't like to see women's boobs/butts hanging out of their clothing. =P Also, @ Kursed: Yeah, the crap art sucks, but there's not much that people can do to stop it, unfortunately. = Umm chiro that's kinda like saying there's not much we can do about Global warming... theres alot you can do may not be succsess full ,but You can still try. Ever hear the saying "If your not part of the Solution your part of the Problem." I think this may apply. -climbs down manhole to hide from attacks-
Zero Flare
I'd have to say I like Krystal because she's a rather powerful character. She just shows what us girls are made of, and that we look pretty awesome with guns(we can also handle them properly). She also brought a bit of romance to the Star Fox series and I don't know about you guys, but I love a bit of romance, haha. Fox has someone to care for and love, and Krystal no longer wanders the galaxy alone. I also find Krystal a rather unique and interesting character. Her background has to be one of the most thought-provoking backgrounds I've came across and I know I'd love to know what her life was like before she first appeared in Star Fox Adventures. I've been playing Star Fox since Adventures, like Krystal. Only... she doesn't play Star Fox. Krystal also has one of the coolest melee weapons - her Staff. It's just so pretty, I really like it's design, shape, colours and it's abilities. It's a fantastic weapon... I also like Krystal because she's a pretty character, and it's quite fun drawing her face and seeing how accurate I can get her looks. So that's why I like Krystal. :P
