You gotta fly into the upper rear entrance, over the back engines of the Great Fox, I believe.  You will then be re-launched out the lower front hangar, with your wings intact, but no laser upgrades.

Yes, the Great Fox will restore your HP and fix any broken wings.  It will not, however, recover any lost laser upgrades, which makes it useless most of the time in my opinion.  However, it can be more useful in expert mode, where you lose wings and health faster.

Yeah, that would be nice, especially for expert mode where you lose your wings every 10 seconds due to collisions with Cornerian Fighters

Actually, All you really have to do is spam bombs. That's how you kill like a whole mob of fighters at once. I learned that from a cousin of mine.

If I kill too many of your teammates, it will start to reduce your enemies down score, also I save bombs for Area 6 :)

I find it kind of hard to hit a lot of units with Smart Bombs on Katina.  On Katina, I only use a few Smart Bombs in combat (and usually don't get too many hits from them) and one to take out the ship in one shot with 1/2 second left on the clock ...

It's kind of hard to hit the fighters with unlocked charged shots too - I think you can get the most hits by locking on to groups of two and three and shooting ones at distance or in turns with hyper lasers.  It's really hard to do well on Katina with a single laser because when you turn and see an enemy, a single laser usually doesn't take them out fast enough and they get away - however, playing through Katina without hyper lasers really makes you better at locking charged shots in all-range-mode , if you're not fast enough, the charged shot will get lost in a turn. 

That's why I like Katina , it's a great way to practice all range mode.  Plus, charged unlocked shots don't work very well (units are moving too fast).

A couple of times I've fired a smart bomb right at the beginning of the mission, and kill all the ships, including your team ships :)

Honestly though I like the music there, you can just bust loose and tear all sorts of ass up, and I like the dialogue between Caiman and The General. It makes you feel like one of those super bad ass dudes in the movies where the guys are yelling: DAMNIT! He's broken through sector five! NOBODY can stop this guy!  :lol:

it is not possible to get that much kills there. known WR is 712, and with TAS you can get like 770.

Yo dude. Try reading what I say next time, XDDDD.....

Kills and hits are two different things. Kills refer to your accumulated total. That kid in the video got 1,769 kills, but only 769 hits. I've never gotten that high of an amount in any of the SF 64 levels and quite frankly I'm impressed at some kids who manage to get that many hits in one level. My kills of 848 from two nights ago are probably in the average scores area, especially since I wasn't trying to go for a big score.

In the context you posted your 848 "kills" they refer to Area6, and not to a total hits score. If someone says, he likes area 6, but he cannot get 700 kills, it means he cannot get 700 kills on A6. Then you say you got 848. This means, you are saying you got 848 on Area6.

Right. You get 848 kills on Area 6. In other words, after you beat Area 6 that's what accumulated total (Kills) you have.
