Kursed Posted July 24, 2009 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Back the next day, Sophia took her usual seat at the bar. She had cleaned up a bit but still had a worn, gaunt look. She motioned the bartender over with her finger. "Erm, can I just get a glass of water?" she murmured hazily. Then she crossed her arms and closed her eyes just the slightest. Her hair had been swept up into a loose ponytail- also, she was wearing Doc Martens with ripped jeans and a dark red tank. At least I put a little more effort into my clothes today, she thought sarcastically, glancing around the bar. There were some new people here today...it was getting more popular. Then she saw the stairs to the high-class section and grimaced at it. "A nice way to taunt the fiscally challenged," she growled to herself. I, uh, would kinda stand out..." After a moment's hesitation, she said: "Are you sure they'd let me? I mean, I'm not particularly special..." The bartender has slid a dusty glass towards her, which she took a large gulp from. Then she wiped the excess water off her mouth with her sleeve. Thunder arrived at the bar alone without his friend until he saw Sophia at the table with Lupe. "Ah, let her have a new friend today." "Lead the way," she replied nervously, wiping her hands on her jeans and attempting to flatten her overly curly hair. Being a human, that'd probably make her stand out too. Outside the bar, Smith was fighting a mad drunk who decided to strap a few grenades to himself. He managed to get off the explosives, but he was forced through the window and fell flat on his back. Scarr ignored the man that came through the window, sat down at bar counter, and put his head in his arms onto the table. The bartender asked what he wanted and Scarr asked for a medium glass of tea. He sat it down by his head and walked off Scarr lifted his head, took a few sips and rested his chin on his forearms still on the table. He then fell silent and looked down in a spaced out kind of why. Alisa looked over her arm at the guy who sat beside her and saw he was a bit beaten up. She shrugged him a bit, "Hey, are you alright? You look a little banged up."
