Star Fox Runner Posted July 21, 2009 Author Share Posted July 21, 2009 Dash's head was spinning from all the info that was coming at him. "Great, first zombies, now vampires!? What in the HELL is going on down here!?" All the Zombies and the vampire girl were closing in on them, the situation seemed hopeless. They were going to die, and there wasn't a thing they could do about it. Suddenly, a face in Dash's mind swam into view, a tearful little girl. Sheila. "What if you don't come back?" she said. Dash heard his own voice. "I promise you, I will come back, I would never leave you, you know that, I WILL come back, you can be sure of that." Something just clicked. Dash unhooked two incendiary grenades from his belt and pulled the pins. He tossed them toward the zombies. Time seemed to slow down, the grenades ignited, the zombies burst into flame, the bloated ones exploded. Everything became a blur of red, orange and yellow. Dash stared through the flames, he saw the vampire girl, he made a mad dash toward the flames, he leaped, and let out a battle cry. He flew through the raging inferno like a man possessed. He jettisoned his wrist scythe. He came down, and drove it through the vampire girls heart. He stared into her soulless eyes, his own filled with a burning rage, and he spat his words at her. "You won't keep me here, and you won't keep me from keeping my promise to my sister. When I'm done here, I'm gonna scrub these ruins from existence." He removed the blade and kicked her to the floor. Dash pulled the little purple figurine out of his pocket, and threw it into the inferno. ((OOC: It doesn't need to be a wooden stake, just a sharp, pointy object. Dash looked around. "The Archaeologists must have set this up. Dash looked around and a jetbike caught his eye, and not just any jetbike, an E72 Starhawk Supreme. And there were two others right next to it. These were incredibly rare pieces of equipment, he couldn't just leave them here. Dash looked around the hangar and saw a cargocraft. Bingo, it was perfect, plus they could use it to get out of here. Dash looked at the other two bikes, then he looked at Pal, getting an idea. "Hey Pal!" Dash yelled. "These 3 babies are E72 Starhawk Supremes! They're worth QUITE a hunk of cash. "This is Lieutenant Dash Rylan to Titania Base do you copy?" nothing but static. Dash repeated this phrase several times until he got an answer. "Lt. Rylan, this is a base, we haven't heard from you in hours. We learned of the destruction of your dropship and are getting ready to send in a rescue team." "Negative on that." Dash said frantically. "Repeat do not send a rescue team. The situation down here has gone to hell, big time. The dig teams down here are completely lost, no survivors, they were attacked by some insane creatures, like zombies or something, they have the ability to turn others into zombies. I have images on my gun's killcam. Sending them to you now. We have secured a way of getting home, the only way to ensure a proper sterrelization of the area is for a nuclear strike, issuing CDF Special Forces override code Kilo, Bravo, 9, 6, Sigma, 2." Dash waited for a response as the base authorized the code that gave Dash one time authorization for a nuclear strike. A response came through "After reviewing the images sent, and authorizing your code, we are preparing a missile launch. You have 15 minutes to get clear of the area and make it back. Over." Dash grinned, "Yes sir, get ready to bring the rain. Over and out." Dash ran down the ramp and shouted to the others. "We got 15 minutes before they blow this place to hell! Lets blow that hangar door open and get out of here!" Suddenly, Dash heard a shriek from the hangar entrance and the sound of heavy feet hitting the floor, this wasn't zombies, this was something BIG! We've come too far to be killed now!" Said Dash. He looked back and saw that Thunderstar managed to get the doors open, but they couldn't start the ship until the threat was defeated From the darkness of the corridor came a hideous site. A large, humanoid creature stomped into the room, it looked like a giant ape, but it was hairless, its skin a rotten gray. It's face looked like a misshapen boulder, it let out a bloodcurdling roar. "OPEN FIRE!!!!!!" Yelled Dash. He let loose a barrage of shotgun blasts, but they didn't seem to phase the creature. Dash jumped out of the way as it tried to stomp on him. The monster crept closer to the group, then suddenly the beam sword sliced a hole into the monster, but the hole didn't flowed out bl***, it was somehow just a hole. Pal scorched the monster with his flamethrower, severely injuring it. "DIIIIEEEE!" he shouted, taking a defensive position, while covering Kari. The monster screamed in pain, an uncanny sound unlike any other wounded beast could make, as it staggered about the hangar, unable to focus its attacks on anyone or anything. "Do the honors, Kari! Finish it off!" Thunder asked transforming his beam sword into a blaster, and hold the triger long enough, (like the Super Scope-SSBB) to double finish, suddenly the blast took of towards to monster and hit it right in the chest where the hole was.
