RPGmaster2000
The controller looks interesting but the red and the green ones looks ugly. Agreed. I like the silver shaded controller the best.

Inuyasha
Nintendo's going in the right direction once you listen to the whole address. Really. If the industry is to survive, then they've gotta innovate something, or it'll just slowly die. Nintendo's grabbing the one audience no company has before: the non-gamer. That will be what drives them forward. I really think this has a lot of potential. If they can somehow manage to make it so that you don't have to move all that much, then it could be fun. As long as it doesn't alienate those of us who like controllers the way they are, then it will be a huge success. I'm gonna get one, since it can play my Cube games, but also 'cause I'd really like to see what they do with this. And I really think they can pull it off. The DS was a success, and I was certain it would fail completely, but it really didn't attract the gaming audience. Though when compared to the PSP, it's definitely the better choice, as it's got more games.... But that's not my point. My point is that we've really gotta see this thing in action before judging it on looks and assumptions. Though I'm certain that it'll make FPS games a lot better. Being able to aim with a physical object is a lot better than sticks. But I really will miss dual-stick control. It's so good.... -Inuyasha

Guest Gamer19234
The controller seems fine...at first I was like "WHAT THE HECK IS NINTENDO THINKING?!?!," but then after reading about it I was like "Hmmm...this seems ok..." I'm sure in the end things will turn out fine with the controller.
Inuyasha
Nintendo can't afford failure, which is why I'm fairly certain they'll pull through. Think about it. Sony's got all that other crap. They don't sell too many PS3s...meh. A small dent in their income. As for Micsrosoft...well...it's Microsoft. Nintendo only has games, which is probably why they're so interested in innovating in the industry. If it dies, so do they. So, if they don't succeed (in Japan, at least), then they will either fail or become seriously injured. Which is why I think they've got some really nice ways to incorparate it. I'm pretty sure they know not to try and make people move TOO much.... -Inuyasha
XG Fox
Also, they wouldn't have designed it that way if they weren't sure people would like it. Although it is a little on the radical side for controller design. They've really gone crazy now. Although I like the Wavebird design. That one I could work with. But then again, when I sell my GCN, I'm keeping my Wavebird. =-=-=-= I think that 'Science Of Speed' sticker there in the center fits nicely... F-Zero GX, Nascar, Extreme G-III racing, Sonic the Hedgehog, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Starfox Assault, Burnout 2: Point of Impact... this controller knows extreme speed. They don't call me Extreme-G Fox for nothing! XG's custom Wavebird controller:

Inuyasha
I'm probably gonna get an XBox soon (I'm trying to) and then buy a 360 later on, mostly for Halo 3. It gives me time to recoup the money lost on the XBox and see what people have to say about Halo 3. Personally, I don't see anything defferent between an XBox controller and a 360 controller. They're fundamentally the same, all the buttons in roughly the same places.... But it IS wireless. You'd have to be either really cheap of stupid to buy the $300 package. I'm not gonna deal without an HD and a wireless controller, no siree. i'll probably never sell my Wavebird. I like it too much. It holds far too many memories.... -Inuyasha

Guest Edge
Lol. Nice XG. I want a gamecube controller with nitrous! Meh, the Revolution controller seems kinda gimmicky, but I think I could get used to it. It -is- nintendo afterall.

Dark Fox
It be good if you moved the controller the aim the weapons.....and steer with the joystick.... but what if you drop it wile waving your hands around like an idiot..... It dose look like a freaking dvd remote, WTF and that motion sensor better be 1000 times better the TURRET GUNNER, a handheld game I used to have, before it drove me nuts *shakes keyboard, trying to enter message*
ArwingMaster
I like the controller, and the analog stick in the pic is optional. Besides no real movement is involved, just slight wrist movements. Think of it as a semi-touch screen. They are so much easier to control. and if you don't belive me pic up Sonic Rush and complete the special stages. Then compare them to the other special stages in sonic's games, telling sonic were to run by touch is sooooo much easier. Think of it in a First person POV simply move to where you want to look, it'd be so easy plus with any jump or twitch or anything, you'd go right back and it wouldn't affect you more than jumping with the gamecube controller. You know you jump press b and x and fall of a cliff or something. with the new controller either your character would spin, or jump straight up. no prob
