kkstarfox
Heck, Krystal isn't even worth a 2 page thread. Millions of horny teenagers and a ton of porn would disagree with you sir. Not saying I disagree (or agree for that matter) but there are a majority who really like her.... character... figure.... errr yeah.
Ravior_Stygian
I like every character in Star Fox actually. Especially Fox and Leon.
The Shaper
I would actually like the game way more if it wasn't Star Fox. Then play Twilight Princess. Adventures was a good game, but a terrible Star Fox game and Nintendo has plenty of other franchises that use it's formula.
Milkyway64
^Not to mention, Adventures isn't that great at what it tries to be. It's repetitive and uses very few creative processes in puzzles. Newer Zelda games are much better with most all of Adventure's flaws. Heck, even older ones are. Psygonis
Not the best game around in the genre, it's a fact, but still, it was cool.
Ravior_Stygian
Then play Twilight Princess. Already have. :\ I don't really think Adventures can be compared to any of the Zelda games in terms of quality. Maybe Twilight Princess, since that game was really easy. But as for all of the other game, nah. Not in my opinion.
Rusheo
I found adventures really fun except the part going back to ice mountain i always forgot how to get there...but it was fun since it kind of reminded me of Zelda that and it was a brand new concept with starfox so i kinda enjoyed it in my own little opinion :
Prince Elite
Yes, I liked it quite a bit, though not as much as Lylat Wars, because Lylat Wars rules.

The Shaper
Maybe Twilight Princess, Not even, Twilight Princess had character development, a good story, plenty of side quests, a great environment, somewhat challenging puzzles, length, and replay value. Adventures shouldn't have even been a Star Fox game. It should have stayed Dinosaur planet, then perhaps Nintendo would have made a better Star Fox game and Star Fox would not be in the mess it is now. "Good story" may be pushing it. It was really cookie cutter collect things to stop bad guy from doing bad things plot.
Asper Sarnoff
I really enjoyed Adventures. Visually, it's stunning. Probably among the best of all of the Gamecube games. The sountrack was very, very good. The voice acting brough some emotion and character into what have previously been cardboard characters. None of them were particulary annoying either, at least not to the degree of SF64 Slippy. Interface and controls were well executed, the C-stick menu still stands as one of the better inventory systems I've seen. Gameplay itself was intuitive and easy to get into, the combat system in particular. One could just button smash ones way trough most fights, but if one opted to, one could also go to town with dodging and counterstriking with eye-candy combos. Some of the puzzles were too easy, but then, this was always meant as a casual game for a young audience. The ratio they popped up too was just right, it never feelt like a dungeon-grind, something I found slightly overdone in the boss temples of Zelda OoT. As for story? Same old generic save the world and the damsel in distress as one see all the time in Nintendo franchises, and I frankly didn't care if it wasn't "propah Starfux!" *fanboy rage*. It feelt like a less cartoony Mario game, or a Zelda game that doesn't take itself too seriously, and where people actually talk. Plotholes ain't new to the franchise either, so I wasn't bothered. What I missed: Should have been longer, more areas, more puzzles, more bosses. Another two planet chunks floating in space, two more Krazoa spirits and 3-4 more bosses, and the lenght should be just fine. Couple of side-quests would have been nice too, it's a rather linear game. Pretty much the only optional quests you could do was gather those well-coins. A bigger variety of enemies would have done it good too. Overall, casual, but solid game. I've played trough it from beginning to end three times, and despite the linearity, I've yet to regret popping in the disk and powering up the Gamecube a single time trough those playtroughs.
Fira-Astrali
I enjoyed the series because I could enjoy the character design without having to grind through an on-rails shooter that I was hopeless bad at. I was so happy to see Star Fox deviate from its flight sim roots. I agree that the scenery was fabulous, and I thought the dialouge and voice acting was pretty good. As for its length... well, you always want games to be longer, but I think the length was nice too. I'm not really a hardcore gamer so it was perfect for my skill level
Furygun81
Starfox Adventures WAS A GOOD GAME Gameplay was good, very intricate, a few nice ideas... rubbish storyline though. Good game, but a bad Star Fox game. If only they kept it as 'Dinosaur Planet' and it wouldn't be thought of as badly as people do now, just because of the Star Fox tag. I might as well go and take Metriod Prime and call it Super Mario Bros: Prime. People would've hated Metroid Prime if it was called a Mario game. Same deal with this. There's nothing wrong with Star Fox currently. Adventures has nothing to do with the current state of the franchise as far as I'm concerned. Milkyway64
Starfox Adventures WAS A GOOD GAME Gameplay was good, very intricate, a few nice ideas... rubbish storyline though. Explain how it was intricate or fresh. All we had was our fire spell (equivalent to the Zelda bow) frost spell straight out of Luigi's Mansion, and quake spell that just hit everything in a radius. And since puzzles usually required these, most players just saved their mana and spammed the ridiculously OP combo attack. Hit an enemy once, and you win. Did you seriously just compare Adventures to the masterpiece that is Metroid Prime? Seriously think over what you just said. Go over the pros and cons in your mind. Done yet? Then you'll see that yes, Adventures is pretty terrible ESPECIALLY stacked up against Prime. As for the point itself, no, it doesn't work. Ignoring the fact that Prime can't be a mario game AT ALL with how its set up, if Prime wasn't Metroid then it'd still be amazing. A lot of people got into the series through prime, and to them it was a fresh experience. Adventures was just a half baked Zelda clone once you strip away the familiar faces. It was rushed, had conflicts in development, featured many unfinished and unexplored ideas. Puzzles were samey and easy, combat was TOTALLY brainless (as opposed to Zelda's "sort of" brainless) and just doesn't hold up in the long run. And yes, I know a lot of people got into Starfox from adventures, too. Thing is, it isn't ANYWHERE nearly as praised as Prime is barring the few desperate fans, and most of them didn't get into Starfox from Adventures so much as just getting into Krystal. Robert Monroe
Most old school fans were unimpressed with SFA, as well. As opposed to Metroid Prime, which was the game all the oldschool fans thought they'd hate, being well loved and received.
Ravior_Stygian
Star Fox Adventures only real fun part was the Andross battle, and it was also a nice twist. It's the only genuinely awesome part of the game, in my opinion. Really, the game get's pretty good when it's ending. Not sure if it's because it's finally over, or because of the familiar faces. Everything else was just tedious.

Scourge
The andross fight was one of the few redeemable things i can say about adventures. The others being that the music was alright (love me some thorntail hallow at night) and the addition of Krystal. Krystal's portrayal however... left me raging, all im gonna say. Pgpaw3
I liked adventures. Although it wasnt Star Fox as such, I still thought it was a good game (might be because Star Fox is my favourite game series and and Zelda is my second)

Scourge
i actualy was thinking about this game in math class, I love it so much X3 SFad game was a love hate kinda thing. What we saw of it through all the bugs, plotholes, and the non Starfox-y-ness was a sparkling diamond in a sea of sewage. It left us almost with a sense of un-fullfilment because what it could've been was actually kinda awesome.

I enjoyed a different type of game play for a little while. not to mention it had the most amazing atmosphere. The music combined with those graphics! Then then in game story line! O man it really got me involved.
