I'll say it did...although I do enjoy some puzzle games, but Star Fox is best when you're shooting stuff up, IMO...

I personally really liked the game. At least Fox wasn't trapped in the Arwing the entire game. It's length was another pro. It would have been better if Krystal got more game time!

personnalY i did ,but I hear many argue it wasn't starfox because it took a Legend of Zelda role to the game. personnaly I view it as a breath of fresh air.

I loved it, great SF game, but I think it needed more time in the arwing.

I was playing it the other day, and noticed something...

Okay, when Fox frees Krystal, at the near end of the game, she grabs her staff from him

:krystal: "Give me that!"

She's shooting at Andross with it, as Fox takes off after Andross...

then Fox and Krystal don't see each other again, for a while, as Fox space battled Andross, the returned to Krazoa Palace to find Krystal, only for her to be gone, and when Fox is on the bridge of the Great Fox, after talking with his teammates and General Pepper, just before Krystal arrives aboard the Great Fox, you see Fox has Krystal's staff on his backpack, despite the fact  Krystal snatched it from him...

weird, huh? :)

wow I didnt really noticed that until I just beat the game again right now XD

Also how did Krystal ever knew about the Great Fox at the end????

I agree with both fly the Arwing is fine, but is good to use fox on foot missions, gave a new twist to the way you play, it's bad that was not considered a good starfox game, because i love it

I liked....

The arwing missions and the final boss battle, at least it ended on a good note The RPG/Zelda like elements were okay too..but...

I'm not saying having Fox on foot was a bad idea....but having him carrying a staff? The whole part of not carrying a blaster was just because the game mechanics and puzzles had already been built around that style of play.  Let's just face it, they were too far along in Dinosaur Planet, and realized it couldn't stand on it's own, brought it to the gamecube and added starfox to it.

They could of done lots with that premise...the idea of fox on foot was great..but instead they took a partially developed game, moved Krystal, who was supposed to be the main character of dinosaur planet and was never intended to be in the Starfox Universe, put her in a secondary role, and put fox in the main role. Yes, it sold copies...and Krystal wasn't a -terrible- fit for the universe, but it was kind of a lazy effort, saving Rare and NOA the effort of making a new SF game from scratch.

Good game, but it certainly could of been better as it's own game without involving starfox, and starfox could of had it's own, from scratch game made instead.

I have to dissagree with you there i think she fit well into the universe I mean Lylat's not the only system with lifeforms after all. or we could just go along here without all the Fans krystal has brought here (Like me) and Lylat being a very inconsiderate system only caring for themselves because they belive they are the only lifeforms in the galaxy. Personnaly I like Krystal but her Doomed homeworld  Outside of the Lylat system gives Lylat another thing to worry about beyond thier own system of planets.

When you view something don't just focus on one aspect of it  you need to see the full picture to truley dislike  or like it.

The problem isn't really with Krystal, it's the fact that SFA wasn't started as a Starfox title, hence why it made little sense in the context of the universe that had been established. It was developed with Krystal as the main character, and for the N64 before being revamped. It was actually a very well made game, as one would expect from Rare. But the question is, was it really a good fit as a Star Fox title?

The best example of this would be Mario Bros 2. It was not originally developed as a Mario game, hence the look and feel of it was much different than the other mario games. (Hence the completely different set of enemies who are seldom seen in newer Mario games)

Krystal certainly fit well in a universe which was woefully lacking in female characters (Katt wasn't exactly a major character, and Fara was only in the comics), and thankfully Adventures was just a diversion from the traditional space-shooter architecture of Star Fox (Which the last 2 games mostly returned to). Now breaking the mold isn't a bad thing, a SF RPG type game would be awesome, but only if it was started as a Starfox game, and not something else.

okay that I agree with. especaily the female part they really need to bring back Fay and Miyu I bet alot more female fans came in thanks to Krystal because it was soreley lacking a  Female that was In all the games and Katt needs to be in more games.
