I killed a big ol' nasty black widow spider today in the backyard, it was on one of the Adirondack deck chairs by the pool.

I know I talked about this earlier today, but the fact hadn't set in until now, in the wee hours of the night.

Summer's over, it's gone, tomorrow its back to the same old boring routine. *sigh* I guess I'll be on here less now. Less RPing, less posting. And among other things, less time to myself as I'll have my parents stalking me to make sure I do my work, as they doubt my ability to control my mental disorders.

I'm depressed.

I hate school, or I hate MY school at least.

It'll get better. :) Trust me, I went through this too. I was so depressed I almost killed myself multiple times. I was too depressed to do practically anything but move. I hated school, I hated my parents, I hated all my friends for leaving me, blah blah blah. :) It'll get better, I promise.

Just remember, you have to actively do something to make it better!

same here, in regards to Sissi's experience...and Sissi and Kursed are right, SF-R, just thank God it's your senior year, then you're done with school...I don't recommend going to college, it's a waste of time and money, the college diploma in today's job market is worthless IMO, nowadays it's all about "Who You Know"...

I don't recommend going to college, it's a waste of time and money, the college diploma in today's job market is worthless IMO, nowadays it's all about "Who You Know"...

I beg to differ, sure, getting a good job is sometimes a contact and luck factor, but having a degree on something will open a lot of doors for you. It's all about being consistent and doing whatever you like/you can/ you are good at. It takes time to get a good job, but having an undergraduated degree will at least get you something decent, a graduated degree will do a lot more too, but it's not necessary.

Think about it like probability, having an undergraduated degree will boost your chances of getting a good job from 20% to 40% more, depending on the degree you are aiming for, and it will boost your income as well, from around 50% to 300% more; again, it all depends on the degree and the experience on the area. Not going to college because you see other people unemployed, even with a degree, or people that barely finished high school, with a salary of around 50k+ grand per year, is not a good excuse. We are facing tough times, and they will get worse, the best thing you can do is be prepared. You don't have to take a freaking full 4 years degree, like I have told to Sissi before, as long as you have some sort of tiny degree, of whatever you want to ( you know, those small degrees you can get on 2 years on community universities), you will be above of the average high schooler graduate. I know, it's just a small boost on your chances of getting a job, but it's something.

40 years ago, the world was a different place to live, it was pretty much easier to get a job, and it was easier to be successful, but then again, we need to face a lot of economical struggles right now, not only in America, but in the whole world. I myself know how hard is to live knowing that your family doesn't have enough money to live decently. Which is why I'm dealing with a tough, 5 years degree, to be able to stand a chance around a crowd, that might, or might not have the same level of preparation that I will have, and to have a decent salary as well, and with decent I mean a little bit  above 20-30k per year, which is probably around 10-20% higher than the average minimum wage on the US, if I recall well. I know it's not too much for some people, but at least, if I sell my services for a low price at first, I know I will  be getting a  better chance than people that would be asking for 2 to 3 times more than what I will ask for. It's all about commitment, in order to stand high, you need to face the lowest level of the economical ladder first. Of course, there's always the lucky guy that starts high, and heck, I would love to be that lucky guy too, but I'd rather be realistic and aim for something I'm pretty sure I can get. And of course, there's always the chance that I won't get anything.

There's also the other side of the coin, which is totally ok. Some people can't pay for an undergraduated degree and have to basically take chances with only a high school degree, and some others work while paying for one. It all depends on the person.

well, that's your opinion, which I don't fully agree with, but respect...

personally, I don't give a rat's @$$ about having a high paying job, money's not everything...the USPS is good enough for me, good union, security, benefits....I'm backing a winning horse going for that job

I couldn't afford college, I don't believe in it, and I simply hate school, it's not for me...maybe some day I'll get a trade school certificate as an Electrician, a Plumber, or an Auto Mechanic, but maybe not (too damned expensive, and don't go laying that scholarship/financial aid/student loan B.S. on me, I ain't doing it, and it's a scam, IMO!)

I don't force my opinions on college bound kids to drop out, so they shouldn't force their opinions on me to go to college (I know you ain't doing that Steve, and thanks for respecting my decision)

back OT, I killed ANOTHER black widow spider in our backyard today, bigger than the one I killed yesterday on the deck chair, and the one upstairs in dad's bathroom last week.

that sonofabitch had an hour glass on her stomach, and was bigger than a maltball!

Well, I wasn't forcing him to skip college, or demanding/insisting he skip college, it was merely a suggestion.  Sorry if it sounded different, I wish people wouldn't take what I say out of context... :(

yeah! :D  thanks, Steve!

I've killed 3 black widow spiders in 2 weeks...my neighbors complained of the BW Spiders as well...I know they're active in September (their mating season), but the weather in SoCal's been so weird lately, it feels like September instead of mid-August, and it must be confusing the black widow spiders in my town, they must think it's mating season already (I burned a couple of BW Spider egg sacks already)

Thanks Sissi and Steve. And your right Sissi, though I hate the place, I'm not gonna lie down and let everything pass me up, the better I do here, the better college will be for me, and I do know that I will more than likely enjoy college more than I like High School. Thanks for the support.  :D

The only classes I enjoy are Digital Design and Choir. I get to work with Photoshop in Digital Design, and I enjoy singing, plus my choir class is real laid back, but we get the work done and do it good. So there are things that make my school bearable.

I don't know where to put this so I'll say it here:

I'm going to see that new movie: "District 9", And after seeing the original short film: "Alive in Joberg" compaired to "District 9" and its trailers, I hope Peter Jackson didn't change much, I mean, I like a good action movie, but I hope it sticks to the documentry feel of AiJ... Especally after seeing G.I. Joe...

Heh, G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra, critics hated it, just like they hate every movie they watch. Even worse than critics I think are fanboys who are TOO FAITHFUL to older incarnations of a movie or television show, so they go see a newer incarnation of it just to say they hate it, without giving it so much of a chance, and stating their opinions as facts when it should just be opinions. How do I know this? I've seen and read reviews of Transformers 2, but guess what? I actually LIKED the movie despite a couple of plot-holes at the end!! :P :P :P

Yeah, But I made the G.I. Joe decision on my own, I didn't read the reviews mainly beacause you get so many mixed messages and biased decisions... Well, for a few exceptions, but yeah.

Gaah! I'm tired now. Today was first day back at school, which was okay. The problem was when it was finished, they hadn't set up all the schoolbusses required, so I had to walk around 6 kilometers extra to get home. Then when I got home, I took our dog for a walk, around 3 km or so, before I helped my father with the harvesting for the cows till the winter, had to shovel a bit over 3 tons of gras. Then to round the day of, I did some other heavy labour as well.

I'm not complaining, there are a heck of a lot of other people worse of than me. But I'm still really going to enjoy a good nights sleep.

I was actually liking it to a point, then it went somewhat downhill when that stuff- er, its a spoiler, you can't say much about it . But I would'nt say it was horrible, definitly waay ahead of some of the movies that are out today. And it says something true about human nature, greed, and BLAH BLAH BLAH...

...Also, if you a creep who likes to see people exploding, this is for you.
