Guest Julius Quasar
i know how you feel. i make 8.50 an hour. work a max of maybe 20-40 hours in two weeks and have to pay $2100 for tuition.thanks Heck, you still make more than your average Californian...($3.50/hour, no benefits, 'cause you're technically on the clock 39 hours/week or less, Federal and State Labor Laws and Minimum Wage Laws only protect FULL TIME workers, which there are very few of here. Plus Cali businesses hire tons of illegal immigrants, and pays them $1.50 per hour, or the Cali business managers only hire their friends and relatives, paying them too much or too little). Now all the businesses are hurting and they have to either lay off everyone or put them on furloughs....
Sylum
During school it's like making $3.50 an hour for me. i go from making 80 hours in 2 weeks (only because it's an 8-5 job) to making usually 20 hours a week. my checks go from $600 to $150. It's almost immpossible to pay $2100 for tuition.

Guest Julius Quasar
There's only one thing left... ESCAPE TO WASHINGTON! (not DC)How? With what money? That's 3,000 miles from where I live, a bus ticket there would cost me 300 bucks, a plane ticket would cost more than that....I have no car, gas is expensive here (I know gas costs more in other countries, but this is Cali I'm living in/talking about) Washington businesses and locals won't hire Californians there, because they got so many Californian "Refugees" already, and they take the jobs away from the local Washington folks, who hate us.Just like here in Cali, with the Hispanic immigrants, that's what the Californians are, to Washington State (I'm NOT trying to sound racist or insult anyone). My fellow Californians who moved up there, and were forced to come back to Cali told me this...

No one is hiring, rob a bank? You're going to jail.I don't have any good suggestions, I'd probably work my a** of at various jobs til I got the money, but it may be difficult for someone with poor references and who dropped out in the education. Star Fox Runner
I know I'm only 17, but I got nothing. No job, no car, no cashflow, whenever I need to go somewhere, I need to bum a ride off of my friends or grandparents since my parents aren't home a lot. Any money I get is spillover cash from when the folks send me to run errands. But my situation isn't bad. So when I look at yours Julius, I can't complain, sorry to hear that, and your comment about the fires getting upstaged by Michael Jackson and John and Kate, I agree, that is ridiculous. Forget that stuff and leave time for the real news.

You're going to jail.I don't have any good suggestions, I'd probably work my a** of at various jobs til I got the money, but it may be difficult for someone with poor references and who dropped out in the education. It's okay, thanks anyways...however, It's not my lack of references or lack of education that's the problem. The problem is California State, and its corruption, overcrowding, and severe inflation/High Cost Of Living...Minimum wage DOES apply to part time workers too, I believe. I just know when minimum wage went up, some of my friends got raises. >_> Some of my friends that CANT work 40 hours a week. Maybe I'll look in to that...California is severly corrupt, the businesses bribe our shifty politicians to look the other way...plus, we're the only state in the country stupid enough to legalize "At-Will Employment Policies", which ALWAYS favor the employer....report your boss for labor laws/human rights violation, get fired....and California traps people here by raising fuel costs, and bus/train/plane tickets out of here >=]disturbing, huh? it's like our officials want us to suffer....I know I'm only 17, but I got nothing. No job, no car, no cashflow, whenever I need to go somewhere, I need to bum a ride off of my friends or grandparents since my parents aren't home a lot. Forget that stuff and leave time for the real news.sorry to hear that...it was like that for me at age 17, and 10 years later, very little has changed for me >=[yeah, one local politician denounced the media for that, now they want to "sue him for defamation", claiming he "hurt their reputation/feelings by calling them sensationalist muckraker tabloids" (which they are xD )I am so getting tired of hearing about mj. DZComposer
There will be some new rules proposed soon regarding posting of things that seem to be begging for pity. There has been a lot of emo drama going on lately, and the staff does not feel that it is beneficial to the community. I"d help ,but I'm stuck over here your gas prices are high and so are mine..They do, but the air support can't see through the smoke, and therefore can't fly through the mountain ranges because of the smoke, so they're having a tough time using it.thanks, Kursed, I'd help you, too, if I could. *hugs*
