DZComposer
It has come to my attention that SMF does not properly validate entry of birth dates to make sure they are not in the future. SMF calculates age by subtracting the birthdate from the current date. Entering a birthdate in 2019 will result in an age of -10.Please refrain from entering a future birthdate, as this creates unexpected negative numbers and may cause problems. Also, please don't enter something like "1000" as your birth year either. No one here is 1000 years old. I would much rather prefer you enter your real birthdate. Thanks. If I come across any crazy DOBs, I will change them.I will report this bug to the SMF team. Steve
Just out of curiosity, what kinda of values does smf use for birthday? Shouldn't that be Integer per date slot?
DZComposer
I actually haven't looked in the database, so I am not sure how it is stored. I do know that MySQL has a Date datatype, but I'd have to log into the db to see if it is using it. I filed a bug report with SMF regarding this. Hopefully they will fix it in the next release.EDIT: Yes, the birthdate is stored in the database as the MySQL DATE datatype.
