Being a dedicated petrolhead, I've decided to create this thread where we can discuss anything related to the wonderfull world of the automobile.

Julius created a Thread like this some months before I joined, but I decided it would be for the best to start a new instead of reviving an old one.

I understand that this might be a topic most of you isn't interested in, but I hope you'll care enough to check by anyway.

Have you seen the Hurricane concept Jeep showed a couple of years ago?

Two Hemi engines, untill the Bugatti Veyron came along, it was the most powerfull 4WD car in the world, got independent steering on all four wheels, so it can spin around!

As for myself, I've got a huge list of cars I'd love to either try or even own.

1. 1971 Plymouth HEMI Cuda

2. Lamborghini Miura SV

3. Hummer H1 Alpha

I could go on and on for all day, but I can't say I'm particulary unhappy with the car I own at the moment either.

It's a slightly modified 1977 Chevrolet Corvette, it has a 6.3 litre V8, churning out around 350 horsepower and enough tourque rip ones face off.

It's not roadworthy yet, there are a lot of things I have to do, primarely getting it repainted, probably in black and red.

FYI: These pics were taken while it still was in the US.

all I have is a run down piece of s*** Ford Mustang from 1995, on its last wheel, dumped on me by the family (still considered family/communal property)...beats the hell out of that old 1987 Jeep Cherokee the family used to own and then dumped on me in the same way.

I'll never have a nice car (or home) of my own, goddamit....I hate my life

You're welcome! Sorry to hear that you haven't had a nice car all for yourself yet, I hope that time will come soon.

And you don't have to put up pics for my sake, I am such a petrolhead that I know how just about every car in the world looks like.

I were a bit surprised that you picked such down to earth cars, you're obviously more realistic than me.

I've decided I'm going to come by and post autmotive news and facts in this thread from time to time, I'll keep it simple and with a twist of humor in, so hopefully everyone can enjoy it.

Let's kick off with a very serious excamination by the spanish(why am I not surprised?) version of Car and Driver. They took a look at a number of various compacts with the goal to find the one most suited to have sex in.

The winner was the new Renault Clio, wich won because "of it's roomy, comfy seats that practicaly begged for action."

Let's move on, this time with the Ariel Atom 2, is going to get a V8 engine option. The engine in question is from the Caterham Levante and produces 500 horsepower, which will give the flyweight Atom a weight to power ratio of about 1000 horsepower per ton, making it even more suited to tearing of your face as seen in the picture.

Finally comes a late update for this thread, and the topic now is something that might be of interest to you lot. Me and another petrolhead/starfox-fan on DA began a discussion where we told each other what we believed the Star Fox characters would drive if they could chose from all the vehicles on the planet.

And this is what we came up with, excuse me for not finding good pictures of them. But hey, Google is only a click away.

Fox: He wanted him to drive a black Chevrolet Corvette Z06, I wanted him to have a blue Ford GT.

Krystal: We came to an agreement on this one, she drives a Aston Martin DB9, but have also got a red Ducati 1098

Falco: This for a car, but also rides a Harley Davidson Sportster 1100

Slippy: We agreed he had to have a pickup truck, but he though he should drive a new white Ford F-150, while I though he should drive a 50's Chevrolet stepside.

Peppy: Massive disagreement on this one, I imagines him in a silver Morgan Aeromax, while he pictures a navy blue Chevrolet Suburban.

Bill: I couldn't come up with anything for Bill, but my pal though a "Phanthom Blue w/ white stripes and black top 1970 Chevelle 454" would suit him well.

Katt: He though of a red Mazda RX-7, while I opted for the feline beauty that is the Maserati Gran Turismo.

Miyu: Dark Green 2009 Shelby GT500 Super Snake and a Suzuki Hayabusa

Fay: Convinced him that she had to drive the new Fiat 500, in white.

Wolf: He though he would drive a black Dodge Viper SRT-10, while I pictured him in a 70/71 Plymouth Cuda or Dodge Challenger, and that for a bike he should ride either a Harley Davidson Night-Rod or the new Yamaha V-Max.

Leon: I came up with a black Citroen C6 with tinted windows, the perfect car for an assassin.

Panther: He though of a cream 1929 Auburn 8, while I suggested a new Ferrari, because let's face it, he is a bit of a showoff.

Pigma: Black Buick GNX special, we agreed on this one.

Andrew: He would place him in a 1983 Honda Civic, while I wanted him in a G-wiz. Perhaps needless to say we don't like him very much...

General Pepper: a 70's Cadillac

Andross: Black Rolls Royce Phantom

Yes I know, someone have to much spare time.

'97 Honda CR-V. Just got the brakes redone because the front wheel.......well they didn't have any brakes. I wore them down to the brackets. Drives really well though.

Hey now, don't hate on the 'stang. My sister's first car was a Burgundy '95 Mustang convertible. There wasn't all that much wrong with it either when we sold it. I would kill to have that car back.

And I'm currently back in the Beetle. sans AC/radio. Both easy fixes.

That's a nice one. Come to think of it, has Lamborghini ever produced an ugly car? I'll agree the LM002 (the so-called Rambo-Lambo) isn't exactly pretty, but it looks kind of cool.
