Difficult choice really. If you mean I was stripped of the Corvette, and had the option of chosing which one of these to jump behind the wheel of and take for a spin, I'm really not sure.

The tought of getting to drive a MBT (Main Battle Tank) is truly awesome, but since I've enlisted into the armoured forces of the Norwegian army, one can't overlook the possibility that I might end up behind the wheel of a Leopard 2A4.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLX2-N_0vKk

And then, driving the Abrams wouldn't really be that much of a big deal.

Isn't the leopard a german design?  in my opinon I'd still  drive a M1.

It is indeed German. Along with a handfull of other tanks, it's the only competition the M1A has, but has been classified as a better overall MBT because it hasn't got the same weaknesses that the M1A has. Such as a better balanced gun turret(The latest model borrows the 120 mm gun from the Leopard II, but it was never built with that in mind), a conventianal engine with less heat signature, better relability, and far better range(a weakness that allowed seveal Iraqi tanks to escape and regroup because the Abrams spent so much of its time being refueled during the first Gulf wars.).

It's also got somewhat better cross-country mobility.

Screw the Abrams, let's use this from now on.  I want America to win a war...for once....again.

I don't think that tanks are the whole problem...

Anyways, I have here some pictures of my beloved motorcycle. Just had a new tire put on, and I'm ready for my full license.

Note the custom license plate bracket, and the modified exhaust (which gives it a real nice sound, and a little more top-end). I'm rather proud of that. Also, it has the old Honda RFVC (radial four-valve combustion) engine, which is somewhat similar to a Hemi, just with twice the valves. It's the 1985 model with the dual carbs, which I find really cool.

I don't think it would make that much of a difference. The Abrams isn't a bad tank, its jet engine is also, somewhat surprisingly, quieter, and it gives good acceleration.

Pretty nice. I long figured with the tough of getting a license for light motorcycle myself, but scrapped it to save up more money for a car. I might end up taking the license for heavy motorcycles later on.

I feel for you Julius. I haven't got words for how sorry I feel.

That looks pretty cool. Pity most of my class last year, when I was in mechanic school, was such a bunch of whiney, lazy and unreliable dorks, which effectively keept us from being allowed to take on a project like that.

Thanks.  Her brother has 2 Ford Mustangs, one's a convertable (I forgot the age), the other is a 2005 GT, and really souped up nicely.

We got another foot of snow this night. Was quite the thrilling drive to school in the morning in my mothers car, since I had changed to summer tires on the L200. Wild wheelspin and sliding in all gears with a lazy 70 HP or so diesel at narrow mountain roads. Should look at the bright side of it tough, good driver training.

Just stumbled over this video, showing how much fun one can have with an undetonated airbag, a tire, and a car seat...

I've had the pleassure of getting one of those detonated into my face once, and boy was I glad it did as well.

Here is another... interesting video. Can tell the driver has played Need for Speed a few more times than he should. And that the british police really need to work out and get some mucles if they are going to stop a car by hitting it like this.

:lolhyst: Those cops can't handle anything!! It make me cringe if we had those cops in the U.S.

People say I'm quite good with 3D rendering. Now that's a load of crap. If I was good, then I'd do stuff like this:

This.....IS THE SINGLE MOST AWESOME THING I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE SO FAR!!!! If I didn't see that it is a 3D render, I really would think that this is real.  :D

(Once again, I know it's not "automotive", but it's still something that most real gearheads might like.)

I got the transmission re-assembled on the old Yamaha IT175 I'm working on. It was a pain (six different gear ratios in a tiny little box!) but I finally got it. The two halves of the engine are now back together, now I just need to put the clutch, flywheel and alternator back on, then put on the actual cylinder and piston on to finish it off.

Fortunately, it's a two-stroke, so I don't have to deal with valves, cams and timing, but I do have some work to finish up on the electrical system. And the frame.

Anyways, I have some pics here. I apologize for the quality, I guess the light in my garage isn't exactly stellar. The black glossy goop all around the casings is gasket sealant, as I was preparing to attach the halves together.

The crankshaft, crank and con-rod are on the left here and the transmission is on the right. It's a twin-shaft setup, with the shifter drum below. It was a real pain trying to get all the shift guides and gear dogs into the right places, especially because the whole thing is so small.

IMAG0001.jpg

Here's the other side, which doesn't have anything except for a bunch of bearings and the kickstart shaft and spring, seen in the upper left.

IMAG0002-1.jpg

Here's the result of the marriage of the two halves; All the shafts in the right place, the shift actuator (bottom center, looks like a Star of David) in position, and the transmission safely enclosed in it's sealed chamber.

IMAG0003.jpg

This pic was supposed to show the big ugly weld on the top of the block, as well as the excess of gasket goop I used. You can't really see either, though, but it shows where the case is split. And yes, that is a con-rod in bondage, I didn't want it swinging around and getting clamped in between anything.

Don't worry Showtime. All mechanical stuff is welcome in this topic.

It was nice to have a quick look into the gearbox on your Yamaha. I don't have to much experience with two-wheelers, but is always eager to learn more.

Got the new exhaust, 2.5" pipe all the way starting at the back of the cat

As you can see, she is running a bit rich, and the sound quality isn't great, but I am sooooo happy to have her back, with the pipe being complete for the first time since I bought her

Nice Kammback!

Okay, here's some funny stuff I found on Youtube. Many of you probably know about the guy from the "Police Academy" films, the one who could make all these awesome sound effects with his mouth?

Turns out someone else is steeping up to the challenge. Engine sounds, with your mouth!

This one's not as good, but I had to include him due to the perfect Type-R-with-typical-ricer-driver imitation he did.
