Asper Sarnoff
Thought you guys might be entertained by this. That, ladi... okay, who am I kidding? Gentlemen, as far as I know this is the fastest Corvette ZR1 there is. And what's even more impressive, those are just minor mods really. The internals are stock, the cam is the same, the same exhaust. Goes to show how much of a powerhouse the LS9 engine is, and how good a tuning company Lingenfelter is.As a comparison, a Bugatti Veyron will run about a second slower in the 1/4 than this. From Jeff Lingenfelter himself.Car is running a stock 3.42 rear diff. Factory halfshafts. 2.66 Z06 gearset that has been micropolished, courtesy of RPM transmissions. Stock ZR1 clutch. Stock suspension. Our larger supercharger inlet is utilized, and will be available soon. Larger intercooler. Stock engine with stock internals. Lingenfelter upper pulley kit along with lower overdrive damper completes the run down of what we have done with this car.EDIT: Also thought I'd mention that the single remaining, original Aston Martin DB5 from the James Bond movies Goldfinger and Thunderball, is now up for auction. So if you happen to have around 5 500 000 USD, which is the estimate for what it will go for, lying around somewhere, dig them up and buy it. I can promise, you won't get anything better for them. Eagle Kammback
Back in the 80s, we had a Corvette that had a higher top speed than the Veyron, I think it was a Callaway VetteI was just reading about that DB5 for sale, now could that also be the same car Roger Moore drove in Cannonball Run? Eagle Kammback
I didn't think I would be, though it did all the same things as the real Bond one, I wonder where that is nowI just got back from a chase scene. I was taking the scenic route home, when I saw old headlights coming towards me, rectangular like mine, when he passed me, I noticed it was a 77/78 Trans Am, black and gold, THE BANDIT, the special edition one, had the right lettering and everything. I lock up the front two tires, and pull a Rockford (Best part is, I had Drive like Lightning, Crash Like Thunder on, I got the CD today and had it in), guy didn't notice me, I put in my Essential Jerry Reed cd and go to track 13 (Eastbound and Down, and to make things cooler, I'm wearing my Stetson), though when he took an exit, he got on the gas a little, he knows I'm following him, I try to keep up, but couldn't, so I get in the inside lane to make up for my lack of speed, he takes the next exit fast, which takes us back from where we just came, I cut across 3 lanes (don't worry, I checked my mirrors), and am squealing my tires around the exit, he then takes yet another exit, we are back in front of the first exit he takes, but from the opposite direction, he turns into that exit, no signal (illegal turn anyway, and extremely tight), floors it, and starts powersliding, which is when I decide this is too much for wanting to tell a guy he has a nice car, and go home
Asper Sarnoff
RV or Corevette?RV? It was a fourth gen. Corvette to answer your question. The R8 is manufactured by Audi. For the record, if you like it, I'd advice you checking out the first Iron Man movie. It's the car the main character drives. Eagle Kammback
Is anybody here familiar with Dukes of Hazzard?http://www.zie.nl/video/opmerkelijk/Auto-springt-over-tolpoort-heen/m1bz1adf45lgAdmit it, if it weren't for legal and safety reasons, we'd all love to jump a car like that
Showtime 1-1
The Duke boys were my heroes. I painted my old bike orange and jumped it over everything, 'till I broke my arm trying to clear a fence. And we used to have bike chases, like tag, but on bikes.
Asper Sarnoff
Pity they broke at least one Charger for every episode with that jumping, until they started doing it with minatures. Here's a fitting music video to the subject.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSeUTfZk2ic

Asper Sarnoff
So, between one of my favorite cars of all time, perhaps what really coined "bang for the buck", a vehicle that handily embarrasses others costing twice or even three times as much as it, whose lines can make ones heart melt, and which sounds like God, shouting, and between a camper-van?No contest really. I've never liked the concept of having your house on your back either.

He competed in 139 Sprint Cup Series events in his career prior to dying on January 5, 1998.Mayne's career spanned from 1963 to 1974, though Mayne would never race a full season and only earn twenty-two top-ten finishes. His best season came in 1966, when Mayne finished 25th in points after five top-ten finishes. However, his best career finish came in 1965, when Mayne finished 4th at Darlington. However, after the 1966 season Mayne would only earn six top-ten finishes in the rest of his career. After a frustrating 1974 season, in which he only had a best finish of 13th, Mayne retired.
