This may sound quite cheesy, but I'm really liking the 1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria

There's nothing wrong in that.Smile-2.gif

Ah yes, the days when Chevy Impalas were competitive racers...

In other news, I finally got the parts in for my motorbike. The motor will be together by Friday, and hopefully in-bike by Monday. I'm gonna try to work as quickly as that Impala guy.

I went to the shore the other day and missed my turn, before we had realized we went too far, I had found this,

I told my uncle about this, he is now negotiating trying to buy it

That's great Eagle! I gope you get Tin Lizzy in the family, it's really something special about owning cars that are so old.

so Asper I have to ask you would you rather own a big truck  like somethin akin to aWarthog or Humvee Or something more like aCorvette?

I know my father used to own a white El Camino...And he thought about buying this half van - half truck thing. The front was a 1990's van and the back was like a Ford F-350. >_<

Also saw a Ford F-100 the other day, along with a 'Vette Stingray.

For some reason, there's a whole bunch of Ferrari 308s around town here. Must be a club meet or something. It's cool though, I keep expecting Magnum P.I to be at the wheel.

I also saw a Ferrari F-40, my all-time favorite car. I was biking to work when it passed in the other direction, and I almost crashed into a parked 300M from a combination of awe and rubbernecking. Damn, that thing's sound is legendary!

The F-40 was my first car-love as well. It's something about the simplistic and brutal, but still beautiful shape of them that sends chills down ones spine.

The only Ferraris I like more than the F40 are the

1961 Ferrari 250GT California Spyder

and

1972 Ferrari 365 GTS/4

Me and my dad got cruise control for the Magna the other day, over in Delaware, man, I never saw so many iunteresting cars on the road

2 Porsche 928s, my favorite Porsche besides the 917, a 914, a Testarossa, and a Hemi Dart for sale

AHA! MY MOTORBIKE IS FINISHED!

The new transmission is working fine, and the engine still has compression!

However, the carbs need a tuning and sync, and one of the side panels was damaged in storage. That's little stuff though; I'm unbelievably happy to have by bike back!

(pictures tomorrow, I'm tired. :P)

Well, this thread has slowed down a bit since Asper left, but I think this bit of news is totally neccesary in this topic.

THE IDENTITY OF THE STIG HAS BEEN REVEALED!  :?:(:x

Here's a link to an article. Uhh... spoiler alert for any Top Gear fans - Remember, if you don't read it, he remains anonymous.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/uk-court-rejects-ban-on-the-stigs-book/story-e6frf96f-1225913093880

Here's what Top Gear director Andy Wilman has to say about it:

http://transmission.blogs.topgear.com/2010/08/27/the-stig-he-is-ours/

I, personally, think it's pathetic. The Stig was great because he was anonymous, but it seems that all good things are brought to an end by greed.

*long sigh*

I know, I was just reading it, I liked how he was anonymous.

I wonder how they are going to address this in the actual show?

Hopefully not a new Stig. I rather liked this one. Truth be told, I'm actually looking forward to seeing what they do.

Also, they showed the first episode of the latest season on BBC-C today, which was awesome.

By the way, Eagle, I saw a beautiful AMC Eagle wagon on the road the other day. Looked totally stock, but when the light turned and he opened the taps, that thing took off like a scalded cat. If it wasn't for the AWD, I'm sure there would have been a lot of wheelspin. Nice exhaust note, too.

Has anybody put a 304 or a 360 into an Eagle? I'd love to see that.

You are in Canada, right? Lot's of Eagles up there

It's been done, a popular upgrade for those who can afford it, gotta have a V8 cross member though, usually found in Spirits and Concords. You can even put a 70 390 or a 401 in them

OK, that ain't anywhere near stock, but you may like it, he's done everything himself, less the paint

That's one serious eagle, Eagle.

On another note, I finally got around to taking some pics of my bike. My dad and I went on a charity rally last weekend. I had the Bandit all shined up, then it rained the night before the rally, so it got all dirty again. Oh well, such is the life of a proper motorcycle.

Anyways, here's some pics.

My dad's Harley and the Bandit in the rain before the ride,

...and after the ride, in the sun

And the Bandit at the airport.

Thought I'd show you the vehicle I'll be driving around in for the rest of the year. Why do the phrase: "I'm heavy weapons guy, and THIS... is my weapon." suddenly spring to mind?

Wezep_Breakthrough.jpg

Okay, quick facts. That's a Bergepanzer Mark 2, built on the German Leopard MBT chassis. It's powered by a 37.4 litre twin-supercharged V10 developing 2860 NM of peak tourque, which it needs given an empty weight of 45 tonnes. And as soon as you grow past the initial feeling of panic by driving something this big and powerful only by what little you can see trough some microscopic periscopes, you really, really start enjoying it. Trough bottomless mud, up and down hills so sandy and steep one can't climb them by foot, and trough dense woods. Accidentaly drove down a tree couple of weeks ago. Really wasn't my intention, but it was in my left blindzone, and I didn't notice anything before I see this 30 cm thick log comes crashing down in the left corner of my main periscope.

Ah, an ARV. You're essentially a Tank Tow Truck driver. :P
