Very nice. You must have the uprated 5.7 in there, right?

Did I mention that I love the C3? All corvettes actually, but especially the C3.

Originally an L-48, which is the basic one rated at 195 hp. The L-82 had 210 hp due to forged crankshaft and other pistons. Since mine is stroked with new internals anyway, it didn't have much of a difference, except the tech has its redline a little lower. Has close to 350 Hp now, which will do for now.

I absolutely adore the C3. It's perhaps one of the best looking cars ever made, cheap, and there is no problem making it awfully fast.

what tranny does yours have? I seem to recall a close-ratio 4-speed which got it going pretty well.

Unfortunatly it's a Th-350. 3-speed automatic. Thinking of converting to a new, 6-speed manual after a couple of years.

There is something I came with at the beginning of the thread that I'd like to take up again for another go.

Finally comes a late update for this thread, and the topic now is something that might be of interest to you lot. Me and another petrolhead/starfox-fan on DA began a discussion where we told each other what we believed the Star Fox characters would drive if they could chose from all the vehicles on the planet.

And this is what we came up with, excuse me for not finding good pictures of them. But hey, Google is only a click away.

Fox: He wanted him to drive a black Chevrolet Corvette Z06, I wanted him to have a blue Ford GT.

Krystal: We came to an agreement on this one, she drives a Aston Martin DB9, but have also got a red Ducati 1098

Falco: This for a car, but also rides a Harley Davidson Sportster 1100

Slippy: We agreed he had to have a pickup truck, but he though he should drive a new white Ford F-150, while I though he should drive a 50's Chevrolet stepside.

Peppy: Massive disagreement on this one, I imagines him in a silver Morgan Aeromax, while he pictures a navy blue Chevrolet Suburban.

Bill: I couldn't come up with anything for Bill, but my pal though a "Phanthom Blue w/ white stripes and black top 1970 Chevelle 454" would suit him well.

Katt: He though of a red Mazda RX-7, while I opted for the feline beauty that is the Maserati Gran Turismo.

Miyu: Dark Green 2009 Shelby GT500 Super Snake and a Suzuki Hayabusa

Fay: Convinced him that she had to drive the new Fiat 500, in white.

Wolf: He though he would drive a black Dodge Viper SRT-10, while I pictured him in a dark 70/71 Plymouth Cuda or '70 Dodge Challenger, and that for a bike he should ride either a Harley Davidson Night-Rod or the new Yamaha V-Max.

Leon: I came up with a black Citroen C6 with tinted windows, the perfect car for an assassin.

Panther: He though of a cream 1929 Auburn 8, while I suggested a new Ferrari. Because let's face it, he is a bit of a showoff.

Pigma: Black Buick GNX special, we agreed on this one.

Andrew: He would place him in a 1983 Honda Civic, while I wanted him in a G-wiz. Perhaps needless to say we don't like him very much...

General Pepper: a 70's Cadillac

Andross: Black Rolls Royce Phantom

Yes I know, someone have to much spare time. O_o

If someone else have any suggestions they want to come with, share!

So, what do you think the various SF characters would drive if they had access to all the various cars of the earth?

I think :krystal: would look pretty nice in a 2001 Dodge Viper GTS, and I think the team would like 1972 Buick Rivieras, something about those reminds me of Arwings.

I think of the Viper as a little to "evil" and "angry" for Krystal. Maybe Command Krystal, but not the others.

Whats evil and angry about a viper, such a sweet looking ride, it has subtle grace and elegance, but at the same time, you know not to mess with it because it can leave you in the dust and run rings around you if it wanted.

It's surely good looking. http://asper-sarnoff.deviantart.com/art/Right-on-Pic-9-Viper-RT-10-140878550

But it's also brutal, mercyless and hard, kind of like a gunslinger from an old western. It'll put six bullet holes in your chest for a handfull of dollars and a good measure.

If the main characters from "The good, the bad and the ugly." was cars, the good one would be a Chevy Corvette, brutal, but not heartless, the bad would be a Dodge Viper, and the ugly would be a... well I guess a Porsche 911, because they're ugly as hell, and unpedictable, how resourcefull they may be.

He he, I was never that big a fan of the Viper RT-10, and I still say Krystal would look good in this car

Actually, I'd love to see someone photoshop her into that, I think the pic from Assault where she has the Gatling gun is about posed right, if someone can size it right, with some clever computer trickery, would be about a perfect image, in my opinion.

It's the same car, except with a roof and some minor tweaks.

I'd still prefer her in a DB9. It's more of a classic beauty, not so shouty, and its country of orgin fits with her accent.

I could put together a render with her and a car, similar to this: http://rachidna.deviantart.com/art/1974-Charger-Krystal-Edition-93642279

But I've got enough projects to finish as it is.

I hear ya man lol, working on my fanfic now (which is why I'm actually posting so much lately, procrastination power, ACTIVATE!), and I've handwritten 4 pages, working on the 5th, and I haven't even left what could be considered the "prologue" of the story, at this moment, I'm expecting 15-20 pages before this story is done, and that's IF I don't come up with a sudden idea to add into the story, which usually happens when I try to write a story.

Having trouble handling the snowy conditions on the roads this winter? Is global "warming" threatening to be to much for your automobile to cope with?

Again, Russia comes to the rescue! In russian, but you'll get the point!

Those are some seriously awesome Ladas...

You could probably go anywhere with the tread setup there, assuming you gear the engine down enough. I wonder how they made a skid-steer vehicle out of a differential drive setup... possibly bypass the whole rear end and just run the driveshaft through independant clutches for each track?

No, they simply uses the cars ordinary steering. Whenever steers to one side, one turn on the brakes for one of the tracks, which due to the open diff, will reroute all power to the other track, and the vehicle steers.

Ehh, what do you mean with that? That most people who became rich didn't buy expensive cars when they got money in their hands?

What do you think of this car Asper?

This pic is huge, so here is the link...

It's a 1995 Lincoln Continental

Never seen one of them before. And I actually doubt there excists one of those in the whole country.

It's probably a nice car. But I could never imagine myself in one of those. At least not before I turned 70.

That makes sense. Those who work themself up from the ground to become rich are quite often smart. And like computers, buying new cars is one of the worst investments one can do. The depreciation is huge on a new car, and it's outdated after a few years compared to what come then.
