AmbiguousG
I have a ROM of Starwing (the European version of SNES Starfox), and I noticed something--when playing Venom Orbital on Medium path, if I manage to kill almost every enemy, then not shoot the enemy that releases a shield unit, a bird (like the one used to reach 'Out of this Dimension') appears. Flying throught it does nothing, and the enemy I didn't shoot reappears at the end of the level after I destroy the boss. This has happened twice to me, so I know I'm not imagining it.Has this happened to anybody else?
AmbiguousG
I've also seen the bird spawn on Easy Path's Venom Orbital.
rainfyre66
Yes, the shield bird appears in pretty much every outer space level (except Sector Y), I want to say. I don't know what the prerequisites for getting it are. In Sector Y, if you manage to not shoot or fire a nova bomb at the giant sting ray, you get an intergalactic whale that not only gives you shields, but also twin blasters, bombs, and an invincibility shield! I never knew what triggered him 'till now, I gotta remember that.."Don't blow up or shoot the sting rays"...thanx, rainfyre66!
