Following her in, Ris didn't even have to check again--he already knew the answer.  "Fat?  Heh, heck no.  Replace the 'a' with an 'i', then try out the new word."

"Your friends here?  Heh, they've no need to be.  You all seem...attractive."

Ris himself was waiting to be given a shirt.  Being a laundry room, he was well aware that none of the clothing belonged to him and figured it would be rude to simply take one.

"Oh, I want to be decent.  I'd hate for them to think of me...Let's just say 'in a bad way'."  Ris reassured her, glancing at the clothes.  "But...none of these are mine."

"No..."  Ris muttered, looking down to the floor.  After a moment of thought, he looked back up to the vixen.  "Okay, today I'll go out and find a quick job, make a quick buck, and go buy something else."

"No, Today you go with us and let us get the stuff for you." Kari replied "Besides don't you want to have a girl say if she thinks it looks good on you?"Kari asked.

"I think the first time that's ever gonna happen is when I'm lying in my casket wearing a tuxedo."  Ris replied, rolling his eyes.

"No, -I- think I look great.  No girl's ever said it though...And if you're sure it's fine..."  Ris mumbled, slipping the clean shirt on.  Smiling, he said, "Well, that's a whole lot less awkward, now isn't it?"

Smiling warmly, he nodded.  "Thanks, Kari.  Whether or not you mean it, it's good to hear.  Now about those stores, sounds good--just tell me where I could find 'em and I'll go get some money and check 'em out."

Growing a little frustrated, Ris worked to keep his voice calm.  "Kari, I don't need anyone to pay for me; I can manage to buy some clothes on my own."

"Then I'll see you in the kitchen." Kari huffed walking off down the hallway.

"Alright, see you there then."

Suppressing a sigh as she disappeared, the young fox turned to the washing machine and dropped his black shirt inside.  Soon enough, the machine was on and cleaning his clothing.  Closing his eyes, Ris leaned against the wall, letting his head fall back.

'I'm nothing special, but I'm not helpless...'

Besides Ris the laundry room was void  of life  unless you considered the variosu Dryers and washers running life.

Ris decided he would rather not eat that day, or at least not then.  If he got hungry later, he would just go back down for the rest of his sandwich.  Instead of walking to the kitchen, the fox took a longer route, heading for his bedroom.  It didn't take too long for him to find the hall, and from there he quietly opened his door and stepped inside.

Krystal was waiting  on Ris's bed "Hello Ris  are you alright?"She asked noticing he hadn't gone to the kitchen.
