Outside The Bar

[Ris Grestar]

"Really?"

Aisu's voice suddenly sounded from the crowd.  "Ruby, would you come here for a moment?  Zeke and I want to speak with you."  She said rather cheerily.  The words she chose may have made the situation sound worse than it was, but she didn't know any better.  The two Arctic Foxes simply wanted to make conversation.

What Ris had said made the grey vixen think, her eyes trailing to the bed.  Giving her a short hug, the blue fox said, "I'll leave you here to think...I'll be in the lounge if you need me."  With that said, he left, quietly closing the door behind him as Audri laid down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling with her hands resting on her stomach.

'Maybe he's right...'

[Kursed]

"um sure what?"Ruby asked getting up to Follow Aisu "I'll be back Sadie."She muttered.

[Ris Grestar]

"I simply wish to become more acquainted with you."  Aisu said, giving a slight nod.  "Would that be all right?  I don't want to delve much into your past, but would you tell me such things as what planet you are from, how old you are?"

[Kursed]

"I'm From Ferinia  a planet that was in the same system as Cerinia Krystal's home planet and I'm currently 19 is that all you need?"Ruby asked confused.

[Ris Grestar]

"Oh..."  Aisu uttered, looking up to Zeke a little confused.  "We didn't need anything..."

The male laughed, lightly patting his wife's back.  "If you're busy, Ruby, we can talk some other time.  We just wanted to get to know you a little better, especially if you're going to be spending time with Ris.  Not that we have control over him nowadays...heh.  He grew fast, independent already...Erm...Sorry.  But as I said, if you were busy, we can wait."

[Kursed]

"Oh..."  Aisu uttered, looking up to Zeke a little confused.  "We didn't need anything..."

The male laughed, lightly patting his wife's back.  "If you're busy, Ruby, we can talk some other time.  We just wanted to get to know you a little better, especially if you're going to be spending time with Ris.  Not that we have control over him nowadays...heh.  He grew fast, independent already...Erm...Sorry.  But as I said, if you were busy, we can wait."

"No.. it's alright I'm sure Sadie's alright with it."Ruby replied.

[Ris Grestar]

"Oh, I'm glad."  Aisu said with a smile, giving the she-wolf a light bow.  "Would you continue?"

[Kursed]

"With what?"Ruby asked Not sure where to Continue.

[Ris Grestar]

"With your life, of course.  What was Ferinia like?"

[Kursed]

"I don't know  as far as I know I was only 2 when the planet was destroyed I ended up on Tiantia in a space capsule  Some kind wolf couple took me in and adopted me."Ruby said beginign her life story.

[Ris Grestar]

"Oh...I'm sorry to hear that, Ruby..."  Aisu apologized, her eyes clouding for a moment as she imagined Fichina being destroyed.  The thought sent chills down her spine, his tail flicking uncomfortably.  As her eyes gained focus, she asked, "So you have had a good life since then?"

[Kursed]

"Now it's fine ,but after about 3 years of being with the wolves that took me  in they were killed by a crimelord  I came home a friend of mine took me to her house and I found them dead I ran back out to the friend who took me  in for awhile it was about a good  month untill  one of her boyfriends  brutally Raped my poor friend."Ruby started to cry. "I ran out of the house and through the streets crying.."She continued  sobbing still.

Zeke quietly moved beside the she-wolf, putting his arm around her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her.

The white vixen looked shocked.  "I've never had to worry about rape.  My chieftain would have never allowed it; the penalty was quite severe...I'm sorry that it occurred in your lifetime, Ruby."

[Kursed]

"Thanks."Ruby sniffed "Anyway after about a hour of runing and Crying through the streets I bumped into Krystal  she  continued sniffing again.

[Ris Grestar]

"Krystal of Star Fox, yes?"

[Kursed]

"I don't know of any other Blue Vixen with that shade of blue fur."Ruby replied "Anyway she took me in and adpoted me a year later when she was able to get the papers around and here I am a happy adopted Daughter of the famous Krystal."Ruby finsihed her story.

[Ris Grestar]

"That was quite interesting, Ruby of Sta--...Ruby."  Aisu said, giving a brief nod.  "I'm sure she is proud to have taken you in.  Also, I have a question.  How did Krystal's fur become the shade that it is?"  She asked, her ear flicking as she thought about it.

Zeke stood silently, though he was listening with interest as well.

[Kursed]

"From what I know all Cerinians are that shade of blue."Ruby replied with a shrug.

[Ris Grestar]

"Oh.  Well, I do suppose that would make sense.  It has been nice speaking with you, Ruby."

"Aye, it has."  Zeke put in, nodding as he returned to Aisu's side.  "Unless you wanted to hear about us, you're welcome to go back to whatever you were doing."

[Kursed]

"well it would only be fair if you'd share your story now that I have shared mine."Ruby replied

Glancing at the vixen before returning his watch to the she-wolf, Zeke said, "I don't think our stories are nearly as...eventful as yours, but if you want.  Who first?"

[Kursed]

"I"m not picky so either will be fine."Ruby replied ears perking up to listen.

[Ris Grestar]

The two Arctic Foxes looked at each other for a moment.  Eventually, the vixen nudged him, Zeke smiling and rolling his eyes.  "Sure, I'll go first.  There's not much, though.  I grew up on Fichina with my parents and two older siblings, both girls.  They became adults as I struck my teenage years and they both left planet, so I haven't really heard much from them since. 

"When I was 19 I enrolled in the army here, being stationed as a private in the Fichinian Defensive Corp.  That's where I met Ris' father, Derren.  He recently enlisted, too, a private in the same squadron as me.  Heh...It didn't take long at all for us to become friends.  In the year following, raiders came down to the planet.  We're not sure what they were after, but they were serious about it, whether or not they dressed and acted like some kind of gang."  Zeke stopped for a moment, looking to Ruby to make sure he wasn't boring her.

[Kursed]

Ruby was activly listening wondering about these Pirates if they were indeed a gang just they had grown from their original  size to a gang of pirates now ,but she withheld her questions.

Nodding as she still seemed to be paying attention, Zeke continued on, spacing off slightly as the memories came back. 

"It was surprisingly a rough battle...I don't even know how half of it went.  I was shot in the leg pretty early on and couldn't walk.  Derren helped me get behind cover and called for the medic before leaving to continue the fight.  The medic was busy with some of the other soldiers, and my injury wasn't very serious as it was, so I didn't mind much.  Suddenly, there was an explosion behind me, ice and snow flying into the air and pelting my head.  Again, it didn't hurt much, but it definitely got me curious.

"Twisting around, I looked over the edge of the ice chunk I was hiding behind and saw Derren on the ground, something small and black lying next to him.  I knew what it was--I couldn't watch.  Quickly turning away, I heard the smaller explosion, followed by some rather frantic shouts of 'K.I.A.' over our comm-links...That's probably the saddest thing to happen in my life.  After serving the rest of my time, I went back home and helped Aisu with raising Ris, though we weren't together at that point.  He just came to me like I was his dad, hence his name for me."
