The Human Centapede.

I do not get what people are trying to say

about the movie. Some say it is too bad,

other say it is too funny...

Really, what is it?

What the movie is? A campy, B-rated horror movie. Why some people are saying it's bad while others say it's funny? Depends on their outlook on life. Some can't find humour in how stupid something can be.

Anyway, I rented and saw Alice in Wonderland, and it was okay, but it.... made too much sense. It wasn't the complete insanity that the book and animated Disney adaption were like, which is what makes Lewis Carroll's work so great. Even the Mad Hatter.... acted too deliberate and with purpose.

There is the idea a film can be so bad it's good. Perfect example is the 80s action film commando. These films are usually so cheesy, dumb, over the top and so unreal they are entertaining.

The other way (and what I believe the human centipede comes under) is a comedy of errors. Usually best seen with a group, these films are so full of plot holes, bad acting and poor special effects that they are funny to take the mic out of. Most famous one is space mutiny.

Oh, thank you both.

Still, a review I read said something like

"they literally eat excrement" or like that. :?

Pre-Release reviews, not any reliable, I think.

Well, they do. That's the point.

For those who haven't googled it by this point, the plot of the film is a mad dr kidnaps 3 people and sows their lips to their bums to make a human centipede. The people have to eat the poo of the ones in front. That's the entire premise of the film. They got the idea thinking of crule punishments for criminals and one said "What if we sowed their lips to the ass of a trucker", somehow they got money to make that into a film. The rest of the film from what I've read is basicly explaining the bloody obvious plot holes.

You didn't miss anything, that movie sucked.

Just saw the trailer for the worlds dumbest film. The Human Centapede.

That movie sure is dumb, all right.

House of 1,000 Corpses and Dark Ride were by comparison better than that piece of crap.

The thing was, the part about sowing them together wasn't in the script which was approved by the big moneyguys. They thought it would be to shocking to get approved, so they just wrote it as a general "Madman-kidnapping-a-couple-of-innocent-people-with-blindingly-white-teeth" B-film (C?D?E?), and then changed the script after they had the money.

In any case, I doubt it will be anything better than what the last part of the centipede had to eat for breakfast.

Isn't that fraud?

Yes. But then, I suspect those who had put money on the table for the making of this movie wanted to have some back. Who knows? Perhaps they liked the fact that it's so shocking, and thus would get a lot of publisity?

I'm currently in the process of watching trough the complete Gargoyle series. A cartoon series made by Disney, airing in the mid 90's. Finished watching the 17th episode now, and I must say I rather like them. Not to bad a story, and it actually is consistent trough the series. The characters are nice, there's an impressive attention to detail which seperates it from many other of the cartoon flicks of its time, and overall, I really like it. Shame it never aired here when I was younger. I would have been such a fan then if that had been the case.

If someone would be interested in hearing a bit more about it, then the Nostalgia Critic made a review about the series.

If there is, I don't know yet. Stop spoiling stuff for me! Laughing.gif

Still watching myself. Im up to episode 2-15. I deliberatly avoid that nostalgia critic episode until I'm finished. Also, the third series isn't canon. Just to the comic after series 2 if you can find them.

@julius, i was kind of interested since jackie chan was in it, i like jackie :D

just saw A-Team today, was AMAZING :D i went in there with low expectations and man was i ever proven wrong XD

it actually has an involved plot with a lot of backstory, which was suprising since there was a lot of enjoyable comedy! if you like action and comedy, this film is for you!
