Just watched Fast Five today.

Loved it. A proper, good heist action-flick who doesn't take itself too seriously, and is all the better for it. And for the first time in the franchise, a movie I can recommend to those outside of the car culture. Problem then that to get the most out of it, you allready have to have seen the last four movies...

Thumbs down for wrecking the C2 Corvette though. This is the second time a Corvette have appeared in a F&F movie, and the second one to get wrecked. Let's not make this a habbit, right?

I saw Tron: Legacy finally.

Pretty good to start, boring for a while, then EPIC at the end during the flight sequence.

'Kay, decided to dig up this old topic again. Figured it was better to commit a slight dredge than create an all new topic.

So, watched a couple new movies recently. Both very enjoyable, but in very different ways.

Cars 2 was a lot better than I expected after reading the reviews. Might be just that most critics aren't petrolheads, but you definatively don't have to be to get a smile and a laugh out of this one. I'll recommend it.

The other one was Hodejegerne (The Headhunters), the first movie adaption of a book by Jo Nesbø, one of my favorite authors. It didn't disappoint. It's not a big movie, so most will probably never hear of it again. But if you do get the chance to watch it, do so. Had a 15 year limit in Norway, which might turn into a Restricted rating before it hits American theatres. It's rather gory in some parts.

Austin Powers - Epic Win

Ace Ventura - Epic Win

Super Mario Bros Movie - Epic Fail

But my favourite films has got to be the Indy trilogy. I highly recommend that anyone who has not seen it watches it (but that's unlikely, most people probably have seen it)

Recently watched an independent film. Called "La Hora Cero" (The Zero Hour) It's very well produced. I was surprised. The trama is intricate, but easy to follow; I'll classify it I recommend trying to get your hands on it. (Warning: they will be blood and shootings)

Got on a car-film rage recently, and watched both Convoy and Christine. I liked both very much, but can't really recommend either of them, particulary Convoy, to someone unlike they have a minimum of interest and knowledge in cars and vehicles. If you haven't got that, steer away, if you have, go out and watch them.

Finished watching Batman: The animated series yesterday. It never aired over here, not to my knowledge anyway, so this is the first time I've seen any of it.

Good grief, it's by far and away the best cartoon series I've ever seen. Not all the episodes are equally strong, but it does hold a generally high standard both when it comes to writing, animation and sound.

So if you haven't seen it yet, shame on you. Tear yourself away from MLP or whatever you might be following and go watch this instead. You won't regret it.

That would bring me onto my second favorite cartoon. The animated Clone Wars series. No, not the CGI one, the drawn 2003 one. The art style might seem weird at first, and it's a miniseries, incredibly short, but it's very, very good. Not saying much, but it's a lot deeper than the new trilogy itself. I advice giving it a look.

I remember that one. I was so disappointed when they left off a cliffhanger for the second DVD.

They had to do -something- to get people to watch Star Wars 3 after all.

Changed the thread title.

I was planning to see the animated Tintin movie, but missed it while it was in theatres over here. I'll do my best to catch "The Thing" though, I loved Carpenters version.

Anyone else seen anything exciting?
