Yes, Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. Any hands raised saying their gonna go see this?

One Movie I would recommend if you're into fairy tales is: Snow White and The Huntsman.

Uhhh no, I don't think I'll go see The Dark Knight Rises 50 times. More like er… 25 or so. I'm not made of money, you know.

Wait, you didn't ask that?

Oh… lol what a silly question. WHO IS NOT GOING TO GO SEE IT?!!

That was the point. It was rhetorical. Meaning I know everyone wants to see it. My main question was for people who weren't.

As some of you know, my favorite anime/manga of all time is Rurouni Kenshin. It was the series that got me into anime and what inspired me to draw anime as well as the inspiration for my art style. It was what got me into taking kumdo for a while.

A few months ago they announced that Rurouni Kenshin would be taken to the big screen. When I heard about this my jaw dropped about 10 stories. Here are some of the trailers:

Anyone else interested in this as I am?

I saw Men in Black 3. Will Smith delivered a quality performance, the plot was actually interesting, the effects weren't cheesy and overdone, and it managed to keep moving forward at a decent pace despite not taking itself too seriously at times.

Watched the Firefly series all the way through, and just watched Serenity, the movie that concluded the series.

First of all: The series. One of my favorite TV series, absolutely brilliant with the world's most campy theme song. Joss Whedon's humor shines throughout the entire series. (You may know him from Avengers)

Second: The Movie. Whilst not quite as funny as the series, the movie's story is similarly brilliant with fantastic effects. Great movie, even if you haven't watched the TV series.

In my opinion Sherlock Holmes: Game Of Shadows, was the best movie I have seen. Why do I say that?

Well the movie points you in directions to believe what shouldn't, then when it comes to that moment

where you finally realize what happened, you have a feel of accomplishment. To me, that feeling

in any movie makes it great. There may be others like it, but I just haven't found them yet.

Yeah, anything with live action assassins is kickass in my book. I adore that movie.

Just saw the movie "Loopers." And I need to say it is one of the more better pictures I have seen. I bet you cannot predict the ending, even though that answer is like written all over in foreshadowing, but no one got it.

I just watched a short film named "2081". It's a 25 minute show based on a short story known as Harrison Bergeron. All though the movie mostly covered the text, it still

showed more emotion then the book.

There are a couple movies I'm waiting for. Snow White & The Huntsman part 2, Wreck it Ralph and Breaking Dawn part 2.

I'm not really into the Twilight saga, I liked Twilight very much but thats about it. I just think that Kristen Stewart did a great job and I just wanna know the end now. Wreck it Ralph because it has all these game cameo's like Sonic, Bowser, Dr. Eggman, etc. and SWATH because the first is like the BEST movie ever made ^^

I saw Frankenweenie. The style was amazing, and it had a touching story.

I also saw Wreck-It Ralph. It was fantastic. I am really missing traditional animation, though.

It hasn't released in Europe yet, but I'm really looking forward to seeing it :D

The last movie I went to was Silent Hill: Revelations. The visuals like before were pretty good, but the only thing that flawed it was (like the first movie) the story. They tried to combine the story from Silent Hill 3 while also making it a direct sequel to the first movie.

Most movies I go see are from the RedBox. I always say "Ooh I wanna watch that!" when in reality, I see them about a year later after they have been released. My current movies I'd like to see some day are as follows: Wreck It Ralph, Resident Evil, Godzilla, Rise of the Guardians.

I think thats about it. I can't think of anything else currently.

+1 to RedBox. Honestly if you've got a decent Home Theater with a good sized TV, it's not really worth shelling out the $15 to go see movies in theaters.

The idea for theaters to me is not so you can see the premier movie, but more so the social setting of having to actually leave your house in order to go do something. Even though the ads and price can be a tad daunting.

Just went and saw Wreck-It-Ralph. Great movie, lots of really great game references and some real licencing, not just very close knockoffs e.g. "Fast the Squirrel". Real characters, like Eggman, Sonic, M. Bison, Pac-Man and a bunch of others. Also featuring the Konami Code and a cameo from Skrillex. Great animation, good story, good voice acting, and a killer soundtrack. Definitely worth a watch.

This is true. After the movie I ninja-jumped over a shrub into an unseen ditch full of a foot of standing water. Needless to say we all had a good laugh. It is certainly about the social experience however if you don't have people willing to go see the movie with you that's pretty much lost. Also if you have a crap theater like ours in town that charges $8 for subpar sound and poorly tuned picture it's sometimes hard to find justification.

I don't like films that don't make sense, no that the film is based in a fictional universe but the setting and characters and script writing that enhances our experience.

Yellow Submarine is film that didn't, but really didn't have to. So I liked though is not in my top five category.

Pan's Labyrinth was a very surprising film for me. Though excessively over violent at times, it was a superb movie.

The Dark Knight trilogy surprised me as well, finally a good batman series.

The Original Star Wars without the CGI, need I say more?

Dune 1983, very good movie, but don't watch until you read the book.

I like old old movies too, John Wayne films to Charlie Chan flicks.

As I said, I don't like films that are nonsensical and my least favorite film is not The Phantom Menace. Its Attack of the Clones followed by Revenge of the Sith. Its hurts my brain how stupid these movies are, they are nothing like the previous trilogy. They're stale, rushed, non-poetic and flow like a Japanese tsunami, destroying every bit of logic in its path. Well, maybe the pain will go away now that Episode 7 comes in 2015. Maybe...

Hey have you guys seen The Hobbit yet

No?

Ok settle down fuckers here's why you need to see The Hobbit

So first we got this guy named Bilbo who you all might remember as "the guy who made the face in Fellowship that caused everyone in the theatre to shit their pants".

ZpWrl.jpg

(You know, that one)

Anyway this is a prequel so he isn't a creepy old guy he's Martin Freeman and he's pretty chill just hanging out smoking weed or w/e in the Shire all day. But then Gandalf throws a sweet dwarf party at his house without telling him and all these fuckin dwarves show up and just start party harding and Bilbo's like wtf

But THEN this majestic motherfucker named Thorin shows up and is like "hey guys let's go fuck up a dragon and get our dwarf mountain back"

tumblr_inline_mfp1hcv2Et1qlh4e5.gif

Like wow look at that shit (he has two hot nephews too wtf are hot dwarves doing in this movie)

And Bilbo goes with them and then a bunch of adventuring shit and bromance happens there are trolls and a dude with a bunny sled (really) and a bunch of other characters you might know show up like Frodo and Gollum and Legolas's hot dad are there for like four seconds and some other guys (I won't spoil it if it still counts as spoilers I guess) and Gandalf the Sassy makes his triumphant return of course

oh-gandalf-.gif

You shall not pop the keg before I get there bitches

Now this is only the first movie out of three and some people were kinda pissed because they made three movies out of one book and I'm here to tell you those people are p dumb because a) it often takes longer to show things on film than it takes to read a sentence about it and b) almost all the stuff is canonical plothole-filler that all technically happened in the Tolkienverse anyway and people would have bitched more if it hadn't been included. And after seeing this movie you'll want to see the other two anyway because wOw

Just look at these perfect fuckers

The-Hobbit.jpg

go see it
