@eagle, supply and demand baby, thats how it works..

to think that that thing probably costed them $12 when they bought it..

@Sabre, i guess i kinda saw past the cliche's.. the night fury really captured my imagination :D

me, i tend to like the more stocky dragons.. more like a giant horse or dog, the night fury was definately inspired by a cat. i actually sketched up a dragon a day or 2 after the movie, but its far from anything i should post or anything, kind of a crossbreed between a couple of animals.

anyone like Eragon THE BOOK? (MOVIE IS HORRENDOUS TO THE BOOK READERS..) i enjoy that series, its got a lot of imagination to it. if that question is too off topic, ill stop now.

Personally I've preferred the dragon designs as seen in Eragon the most. (Check out the one on my DA page to see what I'm on about.) So the dragons where somewhat of a let down, even if I knew from the trailers they looked like they did.

I've read the first two books and watched the movie. Liked them all at first, but grown to dislike the series now. Probably because I'm quite jealous on Paolini. I've always wanted to write a fantasy series somewhat like he did, and did write a couple of chapter as well two years ago. I'd dare say they weren't any worse than what he's written overall, but since his parents run the publishing firm, and mine do not, I wouldn't be able to release it like he did.

@asper, you know, i guess its because i dont sit and read a book that often. so i dont really have a strong sense of what a good book or a bad book is like i do movies. i like that a book can offer way more content than a movie can and that it solely relies on your own imagination (which i indeed have a lot of..)

however, this is where book-films can take a turn for the worst (like Eragon) it didnt hold a candle to my expectations and for some reason, a lot of the places are not how i envisioned them. i kinda thought of Eragon's hometown to be a bit more... mideval. i though of cabin houses constantly bombarded by snow and all of it kind of having more of an Irish feel to it. while the town itself was somewhat accurate, the house they live in is not. also, his brother is a lot different then i imagined him. i thought of  sir kay from the sword in the stone.

real stocky guy that doesnt seem to have much brains, then kinda pulls an odyssey on us and goes on a lot of his own adventures.

anyways, back on topic. i like how the movie how to train your dragon went beyond the books themselves. the books were kinda meant to inspire imagination on the subject and were nothing short of a mildly entertaining skim through, never really stuck out as something to read over and over again (unless your within the demographic 4-5 yrs) so seeing them make a decent movie out of it was kind of impressive.

i couldnt really see a sequel out of this, the movie had a good start and end to it. a sequel would just ruin it in my opinion. then again i dont know what the future holds. im just not going to spend a good 20 bucks on it like i did for this one. (ticket costed $9, friends had to have popcorn and drink so thats where it all went.)

As I'm sure you all ralready noticed, I'm a big 60s/70s buff, I recently saw a movie with a great soundtrack, and 2 actors that are big now, but man, were they young then, Robert Downy Jr. and Keifer Sutherland

Anybody ever seen it?

I watched a movie last night that was freaky strangely awesomely, if it is an adjective, it describes this movie, though weird may be the closest to describing it, it is called

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Here is the trailer

Saw "Nightmare on Elm Street" yesterday, Meh, not much for those "scary" movies, all it seemed to me was another action/suspense flick.
