^[Music for First scene, if you hear Cliffs of Dover (2:08), you went too far.  The beginning sequence is like a movie, and I also hope that this RP sounds like a movie too.  The player list is current as of 9/18/09 (updated.)  Please use the discussion forum for any OOC filled posts or any concerns.

Ok kiddies, lets get this show on the road.]

Night.

Mexico City was bathed in it.

But tonight was much different than other nights.  Smoke, rose from several houses, gunshots, cracked like a whips in the night.

(We see that time is frozen)

Two men are seen, one shouting into a radio, and another overhead a small brick wall, firing blindly into the night.

Scenes of more people appear, slowly, with time still frozen.

Another overhead look, with the title card “The Mexican Sun” appears briefly. (At 1:24 of the track, being that if this were a movie, the soundtrack would sound like that riff there.)

We see a man, appearing as if he was running with a weapon in his hands, but we soon see that as time enables, he is moving backwards, soon, everything is moving backwards, like a reel or cassette tape that plays as its being rewound.  The explosions return to their point of origin, but the rewinding moves gradually faster.

(As the guitar chords begin:) We see another card, saying “2 Days earlier: Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 21st, 2015.”

Inside a barrack, a group of solders sit around a set of crates, watching TV.

Kyle, young, about his mid-late 20’s, had walked around the complex, “Hey, anyone see Napshaye anywhere?”

“SHH!” A solder said, and then kept watching TV.

“…Is the president’s last, so called, ‘heroic effort.’  Before this next year’s election, he’s trying to show us that he had a good run.  I mean 8 years and he did try, he did save what was left of the economy, which was our biggest problem.  But again, he’s showing that he isn’t afraid of this group.  Whoever these ‘Voces de Cambio’ people are.”

The channel changed.

“…In a literal suicide attempt. Are we talking a New World Order?  We know that with this treaty, they are literally connecting three countries together.  And even though they placed limits with this treaty’s spread to North America strictly, we all know that something COULD happen in the next few years with the signing of this treaty.”

“And we’re the one’s going straight into the firefight,” said one of the solders to the TV.

Kyle was part of the unit named the ‘PSO,’ short for Presidential protection and Special Operations.  Or some others called it ‘p**s off’ for short.  In any way should the Secret Service fail (and they definitely shouldn’t,) they were the next line of defense…

[Welcome to The Mexican Sun.  As I said before, this should be written like an action movie (A good one, not a cheesy one.)  And if you want to talk about this RP during the week when it is closed.  There will be a discussion topic in the RP discussion thread.

"Ok ladies, listen up" a gruff voice from behind them shouted.  One solder reached for the Television remote and turned it off.

Several other solders came behind the commander, as well as two others with a posterboard with an image:

"All your positions should be marked, and your teams already determined.  Kyle, you're in charge of the PSO unit, remember what I told you this morning..."

"Yes sir," he replied.

"Good, any other questions?  If not, get ready, we load out in 20..." And he was gone.

Richard grabbed his rifle, he were glad to see some action again. He were one of the few people that simply didn't function properly in the civilian life. Each time he were granted a leave of absence, the only thing he did were simply train himself til the time came to get back into the fight again, shooting, running and weight lifting.

No family, no friends, except for his teammates. That was him, and it was just how he prefered it.

He turned around to face Kyle, the only person he had ever looked up to. Not litaraly though, Kyle was kind of small. "Awaiting orders, sir." Richard said with his low and dark voice.

Kyle, grabbing his vest and the G36, said "Here," and threw everyone a Visor.  Snaping his own onto his helmet and connecting the cords to his backpack, it started to glow blue.

"Might help, gives you pretty much everything you need to know."

He knew they were the only team that wore these, others just had the simple screens on their wrists, the size of an iPod screen.  The visor gave them a direct link with the president and with the Situation room in the Pentagon.

[Sabre]

"Groovy. Upgrades." said Steve, attaching his helm.

(sorry for the crap post, we're currently slammed into a wall until you kick it off.)

"Direct link to the big boss himself huh?" Richard grumbled as he connected it to his helmet. "Might give me the opportunity to tell him I didn't vote for the prick."

(Not talking about the current president here, just playing the role. Hope this RP fire up for real next weekend.)

(Yeah, sorry, I'm just waiting for others to join, or at least giving them a chance to, I guess lets take the plunge...)

"Ok, load up," the commander said from behind.

The hangar bay doors opened, and in front of the team, a small helicopter sat, the blades just beginning to warm up.

Taking his weapon from a cart with their names on it, he ran for the helicopter and boarded, finding himself praying the "Our Father."  Somewhere in his head, he heard 'Flight of the Valkyries,' playing, the other helicopters reminding him from that scene from 'Apocalypse Now.'

Hopefully this doesn't blow up in our faces...

Napshaye also got into the helecopter, throwing on one last chain of MINIME Ammo over his shoulder.

"Ready to go"

With the flight underway, Kyle could finally relax for a bit, although not literally, the helecopter was small, barely enough to get everyone inside, but somehow the military managed it.

-some hours later-

"Ok, there's gonna be some resistance going in for Alpha team, we have protesters up front, the president is currently in route, we need to secure the WTC before we can get this party started..."

(music for this scene ignore the horse sounds...)

The helecopter then touched down, "I want a full sweep of the area, clean of anything that is so even out of place I want it out, not even rat s*** in the hallways, do I make myself clear?"  The commander yelled into the earpieces of the visors.

[Sabre]

"Rules of engagment?"

(can we kill civies? Shoot all on sight?)

"No, the govermnent and most civilians are on our side.  Just watch out, the rebels will take a aim at you, and so will some civilians.  I wouldn't fire on Mexican government agents either, most on our side will help us if everything goes to hell.  Fire only when fired upon."

[Asper Sarnoff]

"Fire only when dead... Got it!" Richard spoke up without moving his attention from his equpment which he were busy testing for faults. Faults that might prove disastrous if they showed up when they were least needed. It was okay.

Richard jumped out of the chopper, as soon as he touched the ground he moved quickly into cover and searched the area troughfully with his watchfull eyes.

When the team was done searching the helepad: "Ok, This is PSO, helepad is secure, we are a go to transport the package, now moving to meeting room."  Then he pointed to the stair well that went to the lower levels.

"The meeting room should be cleared and blocked off from all passage, nobody goes in or out."
