Star Fox: Starfleet Command

(I was thinking something like this. Minus the twin ion-cannons. Should be recognisable enoug for those who have seen SW the Clone Wars series.)

This is how my ships looks like. Don't worry about it being a bit overwhelming/godmoddish, Star_Dragon and I have our plans.

A short, blinding light suddenly filled the empty space behind the main Kemorian command ship. Out of hyperspace, a hulking shape appeared. A massive warship, dwarfing even the combined mass of the rest of the ships surrounding it, The Inqusitor immediatly started to rule itself into attack position, revealing its broadside of several hundred of turbolaser batteries.

In the read tower, at the central comman bridge stood Kargadon, illuminated by the dim, red light.

With lifeless, black eyes, he surveyed the scene wich he had made his great entrance.

The Kemorians seemed to be in shock over this new threat that had fallen them in the rear. Believing their friends would guard them from such an unpleasant surprise.

Kargadon lifted a tighly clenched fist over his shoulder, and held it for a couple of seconds before he dropped it down.

As one, all the laser cannons on the ships starboard side opened fire. Like a wall of concentrated energy, it hit the mass of Kemoran battleship, ripping them in pieces, setting them aflame.

That was just the first volley, the targeting computers immediatly started to single out targets and destroying them in quick order.

Cruisers, frigates, fighters, none of them could stop the giants rampage. And the mass of ships started to break up. The remaining interdictor cruisers shut down their gravity well generators, allowing them to retrat out of this losing battle.

One by one, the Kemoran ships jumped away, those who had their hyperdrives disabled limped away as fast as their engines could carry them.

It was over, the Kemorian had lost, and were now in full retreat.

Then, every single turbolaser battery swiveled round again, picking their targets among the remaining ships. The Dragonarian and their allies.

The Dragons Rage, the Quasar Roce and the Enterprise, where now it's next target.

The light from the burning ships were reflected in Kargadons cold eyes as he watched in utter silence.

(wait, like Super Star Destroyer sized?)

(At roughly 9 km in length? I'd say so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gwx890NZP8 It is based on the huge ship you see several times in this clip.

"She's taken some damage. But the ship is simply so massive, it can take all the firepower our cannons can give it." -Gun controller onboard one of three Venator-class star destroyers pursuing the Malevolence)

(9 km? oh, thats nothing. Try about 20 for a Sovereign class. A Super is about 100 km)

(Try to get your facts straight. The longest, and possibly the most famous, known SSD was the Executor class, at about 17-19 km. The exact length is still the subject of debate. This could prove usefull if you're confused with scale anymore.)

That is a good episode but I like the one where those rookies are on a warning station better.

(okay, now I get the picture, but that's not feesable. A 9 kilometer starship is not possible, or for that fact believable. I mean...... No. Just, no.)

(BTW, I kept on thinking it was 9 meters.)

(Since when was the whole concept about humans and anthros waging war in space at all feesable? We threw realism overboard long ago.

"Oh no! The warship has appeared! It is massi... ehh... tiny?"

Anyway, lets not get carried away and get to much off topic here. I'm a bit disapointed Star_Dragon didn't post here once in the whole week. Come on! What's the hold up?)

(is the Inqustioner manned or not?)

(Yes. It can possibly carry a load of around 30 000 soldiers, including assault and support vehicles when used for planetary assault. This time tough, it only had the crew necesary for piloting, maintenance and guard duty, around 2000. Surprisingly low for a ship of this size, mostly due to several advenced automated systems and droids.)

"Enterprise to Echo Zulu fleet, we need assistance." said the comm officer. "We'll be there in about 5 minutes." said another captian. "We may not have 5 minutes." said Captain Smith. "Position us at a defensive angle against the Dragons Fury and Inquisitioner.)

(Basicaly what has happened is: *In deep narrator voice* "The pride of the Dragonarian fleet, the Inqusitor, along with it's commander and crew, have disappeared from the face of the galaxy. Admirar Kylet'oran along with his allies is given the order to search for the missing star-dreadnough. But their fleet is suddenly pulled out of hyperspace by a superior Kemorian strike force. Unable to retreat, they're fighting a losing battle, when suddenly:"

Captain Smith ordered for all power to go to the primary combat systems, and to call in reinforcments. The Discovery class vessel Endeavor, was the closest and warped in first. The two ships started straffing the massive battleship, and sending out fighters to bring down the weapons.

Kylet'oran ordered several fighter wings deployed and several boarding craft prepped. When he gave the word, the fighters launched with the boarding craft. The fighters went about attempting to neutralize the massive ship's weapons, while the boarding craft attached themselves to the ship and the boarding parties came aboard.

Kylet'oran was one of the first people to come aboard the Inquisitor, and had his MA52B at the ready. Strangely, there was no sign of the crew. So where were they? The marines moved from one hallway to the next, trying to find one of the crew, but all they came across were blood-splattered hallways, bullet-pocked rooms, and disruptor-scorched doorways.

Then, as if to answer his question, a swarm of small spider-things came out of nowhere. Kyle and the marines fired, and the spiders popped like air-filled baloons.

"Is that what happened to the crew?" one of the marines asked as the last spider popped. "They got eaten by those things?"

"No," Kylet'oran replied. "The crew has been inected by the Miikaarj." Kylet'oran continued on, intent on finding Kargadon...

Two more ships warped in. The Patton (Norway  Olso-refit Class) and Dauntless (Galaxy Class). They started firing phasers at all of the missile launchers and torpedo bays. The Enterprise started beaming aboard Hazard Teams in their new Hazard suits. Impenetrable sheidling armor. (think Halo 3 armor, but alot better)

(The Inqusitor has got neither missile launchers or torpedo tubes. It instead relies on its 600+ turbolaser batteries. A combined bombarment will take down any shields in no time.)

Again, the Inqusitor opened fire. The three hundred turbolasers on it's  starboard side let loose a wall of laser fire, so many that several of the enemy fighters couldn't dodge them all and were torn out of the sky. Then, the firestorm hit the group of larger ships. Their shields were quickly taken down, their armor penetrated and torn apart. Several cruisers went down in flames, others were heavily crippled or wounded.

Kargadon stil watched in utter silence. He knew that even if they brought in the combined fleet of the whole allience, they would be no match for him and the firepower under his command.

He gave a signal to one of the crew, wich immediatly started increasing the power output of the ships powerfull reactors, and rerouting it to it's shield. The whole ship started to glow with a blue, haunting light as the shield reached it's maximum power.

They were invincible on the outside now, but on the inside?

Kargadon looked at a monitor showing a corridor inside the ship. Several strike teams had boarded the ship and were now grouping up together. They could pose a threat if they reached the bridge or the main reactors.

Kargadon let a clawed finger press down a button before he started to speak into the microphone in front of him with a cold, soulless voice. "Guard company two, three and five, start patroling main hallways in groups of fifty men. Company one and four, get to the reactor core and lock it down, no one gets in. Black squadron, get to your fighters in hangar 5 and prepare for launch upon my signal."

He ended the broadcast. That only left the bridge unguarded, a fitting bait for the hapless strike teams.

Sadly the Arbiter craft had been destroyed as it tried to get close to the Large ship but it managed to land a group of Protoss Zealots and Stalkers Lead by Krystal Who was hidden in a odd shade of darkness on board Inqusitor they were trying to group up with the Dragarian boarding party led by Kylet'oran
