Guest RedPhoenix32
"Status." said Captain Smith. The ship was rocking wildly as it was being bombarded by laser fire. "Sheilds are holding at 80 percent. Distruptors are now ready for firing. (distruptors are basically really good laser cannons). Point defense system is now online." "Open fire. Transfer surplus power to forward sheilds." "Aye captain." The Enterprise let loose a volley of lasers, phasers, and photon torpedos, bringing down cannon after cannon. The Patton, Dauntless, and Endeavor started doing the same, bringing down 30 each. But the Endeavor wasnt strong enough. Their left sheilds failed, and their port warp nacell was hit. The ship had now started a warp core breach. The captain called for an abandon ship, and the crew beamed over to the Dauntless when it was out of range of the Inqusitioner's firing zone. The captain stayed aboard and plotted a collision course to the Inquisitioner.

Asper Sarnoff
((Could I add this squad http://forums.starfox-online.net/index.php?topic=4418.msg147548#msg147548 as a part of the boarding parties? I don't feel up to ship-to-ship combat right now.))(Not my decision to make, but what else? A direct assault would be suicidal anyway.)The numerous laser shots fired by the enemy ships hit the Inqusitor like rain. But they were all absorbed by its powerfull shielding, and failed to do any damage. Kargadon knew it would need a several hour long bombardment by a fleet of destroyers to overload it. What could a group of small frigates do?Tough, a number of torpedos bypassed the shielding altogether and hit the dreadnoughs thick armor."Status report?" Kargadon asked one of the technicians on the bridge."We've lost nine turbolaser batteries so far." he reported back in a monotone and dead voice.Kargadon focused his attention on the raging battle outside again. The enemy didn't stand a chance, they would need several days to take down all his cannons at this rate, but themselves would be exterminated in a matter of minutes. As a confirmation of his toughts, he noticed that another small frigate succumbed to the firestorm. The ship banked hard over and started to glide forward, driven by its momentum. To Kargadons surprise, he noticed it was now heading straight for them. He hadn't expected them to try and crash their doomed ships into him!"Take evasive action!" He barked out to the crew, "Hard port and full ahead!"The glow from the rear engines changed from dark red to orange as all available power was routed to them. The massive ship started to accelerate, surprisingly fast for a ship of such proportions. It leaned slighly over as it started turning away from the approaching frigate.Several seconds feelt like an eternity as it slowly became clear for him they wouldn't evade it in time. The frigate hit the Inqusitor hard at one of it's hangar opening. The smaller ship disintigrated completely, and the shield covering the hangar flickered for a couple of seconds before it disappeared and left the hanger exposed to the outside."Sir! We've lost the shields on hangar 3. And the emergency hatches are knocked out." a voice reported to Kargadon. This didn't bode to well. The hangar wasn't heavily armored, and if the enemy concentrated their fire into it, it could potentialy set of a chain reaction that would cripple the whole ship."Make ready for the jump to hyperspace! Set course for the Lylat system." He ordered. Once they had shaken off the enemy ships, they could commence repairs and ready the ship for the assault on Corneria.Again, the ship started to slowly turn, aiming its massive bow at its destination. Kursed
taking the oppertunity the remaning Protoss tried to land some more boarding parties though the now vulrable Hanger a good number of Phase Prisms headed for the hanger.Meanwhile already on board the ship Krystal and her Protoss Boarding party continued to draw closer to Kyle's dragonarian group. Guest RedPhoenix32
"Sir, they're sheilds in the shuttle bay are down." said the conn. "Fire all weapons in that area!" said Capt. Smith "We're also detecting they are attempting a faster than lightspeed jump." said the conn "How fast?" said Capt. Smith. "Its a slightly primitive form of our warp drive. We can easily catch them." "All allied ships, stay away from that hanger. Security, get a few more Hazard Teams on the ship."All of the ships directed fire on the shuttle bay that was unsheilded."Sheilds at 75% and holding." said the engineering officer. "Boost power to sheilds." said Capt Smith. "Sir, the Endeavor has broken off for emergency repairs. They expect to be back in the fight in 5 minutes. The Saratoga is wapring in. Two more ships are on their way." said the Conn officer. "Transmit a message to Starfleet Command. Send them all footage of the battle from the very start."On the ship, the Hazard Team beamed in safely in the cargo bay. Not a soul was there to see them, and the sensors were to busy on the ships. Team commander Ess Degenaars was in command. He commanded his team to find a Jeffries Tube to get to the ship's bridge without discovery. They found one, and crawled in, leaving no trace of their existance.(These arent frigates. They are heavily armed cruisers. A frigate is size of two football feilds. 100 meters. Where as a crusier like the Enterprise is around 600 (sized to the new Enterprise))
Asper Sarnoff
(Not that it makes much of a difference. One of the main reason why I never cared to watch Star Trek was becasue their techonlogy seems so weedy and useless. Even the largest star ships in the series, at least those I've heard of, are completely dwarfed and outgunned by a standard Imperial-class destroyer(Star Wars universe)Okay, I'm soon going to make a jump. After that, the shield over the hangar bay will be repaired and I will be de facto invincible again. Last chance to get yourself on board so you can influence the outcome of the battle ahead. The crazy train is leaving the station, all aboard ahahah!!!) Guest RedPhoenix32
(I have to disagree entierly. You are wrong. a Prometheus Class crusier, even in its reagular state would be an even match for an Imperial Star Destroyer. In many ways, federation weaponry is BETTER than turbo lasers. A phaser is like a turbolaser on steroids. Im not joking. Its basically the heat of the sun concentrated into a beam of energy. Thats litterally what a phaser is. A nuclear laser. (its actually called a PHAS Enhaced Rectifier.) Or at least thats what I postulated. As for photon torpedos, they molecularly change somethings density to make easier to penetrate a ships hull. Thus the word photon. For molecular photon charges. Once it hits the hull, it explodes. That's why federation torps dont have a sharp edge. Quantum torpedos work on the same basis but more powerful. Same goes for Tricobalt. Transphasic weaponry is the best kind of weaponry EVER. (for refernce, see Star Trek: Voyager "Endgame part 2") Then there is the fact of accuracy with beam weapons, point defense, Ablative Armor, multiphasic sheidling, and the fact that Imperial ships move like snails while Trek ships fly right on by. Now that my speil is done, we can get going. Thank you for your time.)

Asper Sarnoff
(Good point Kursed. I suggest we should wait til Star_Dragon returns. We've echanged tons of PM's of how we will herd things forward, and we need someone that could lead on from your side. Also, Redphoenix. I'm not convinced. I agree ST ships pack a respectable punch for their size. The reason I said they were useless was just some friendly teasing from my part. I still don't think a ST cruiser can take on a SW destroyer and expect to win. But what is best of SW and ST is a discussion for another time. For the sake of this RP, I'm threating the technology as equal, and basing a ships strength and firepower on it's size, shielding and arnament instead of how advanced it is supposed to be.) Let me know if I'm godmodding or not, I'm counting on a heavy close-quarters battle inside the ship, otherwise I'll change the amounts. The time is before the inqusitor starts leaving, just about when the first few cruisers are being torn apart.))A CDF Troop transport, and several small support frigates, waited outside of the gravity well, the largest ship among them: the Inqusitor, it was called, was a massive hulk in the distance. This transport was for orbital insertions, and low planetary drop, however it served a much diffrent purpose today, to bring this giant down from the inside. However, there weren't too many to pose a serious threat. Several squads of Cornerian Army Soldiers. At a total there were only 22 of them going, 5 which were part of a Mercenary squad. The rest were two more squads of 5, and one detonations group of 7.The captain of the small group, Cpt. Russel Babit, stood at the bridge deciding his next course of action. He wished that the CDF would allow more of them to try and take this thing down, but funding was tight, and not to mention that this was not a "serious threat" to the CDF...In the distance, a large wave, almost a wall of laser fire tore apart a few cruisers, attempting to battle this thing. Some crew members looked slack-jawed at this spectale."Next course of action, Captian?"He sighed, decision time."Send all the squads on, have chalk 1 and 2 (the two squads of 5), and the merc's clear a path for chalk 3 (detonations) towards anything that looks important on that ship. Then have that Merc squad take as many turbo-blaster, or whatever the hell those things are, batteries as possible. Send word down to them.""Yes sir, they're all packed up."Another shouted out "We have green light to engage!""Alright, have the frigates transport the pods near the ship so they won't get blown out of the sky. And I want a scan run on that thing, tell me all about it!""Yessir."---Rook was the first one into the pod. he was excited, but tried not to show it. Finally a time where he was able to get into a firefight. The rest got into the pod, it seated the 5 of them, including any spare gear they might carry. Alec, or "head", was stating the mission:"We got to trailblaze through this hulk, clear any resistance, and find a way into this engine room, or bridge." Then his normally serious face, turned into a sly smile. "Which will be impossible, so don't get antsy, rook.""After that, we should try and take out some blaster batteries, were not sure how close they are, and with only 10 blocks of C5 among the 5 of us... The number of batteries we'll kill is practically unknown.Right, team?"The rest answered"Right."
