sniper
What if there was a 3rd person SSB that was kinda like halo, exept with all the attacks and items in SSBB?I always wondered what it would be like. (I'm not saying that this would be better than the classic SSB, but it would just be different)What do you guys think? Would you buy it? Would you play it? Kursed
you mean from a third person view?becaue halo is first person.
Sylum
It would be a total and complete bomb......just look at Guilty Gear and how it turned into GG: Overture.....i haven't heard 1 decent review about that game.
Asper Sarnoff
You mean 3D right?
Sabre
I'm confused too.You mean first person like beatdown? Or 3D like Urban Rain?
DZComposer
SSB is already in the 3rd person perspective...Unless you mean 3D movement, which I think would overcomplicate things. Part of the beauty of SSB is it's simplicity.
Asper Sarnoff
Yes, remember when Worm came out in 3D. Much prefer 2D for that one.
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
It would be a total and complete bomb......just look at Guilty Gear and how it turned into GG: Overture.....i haven't heard 1 decent review about that game.I think that's the best comparison for what Sniper may be talking about. Sniper you gotta be more specific when you're comparing stuff. My opinion, oh no. No no no. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Plus, it would play so weird if you are trying to fight someone but you have to run a lot to get to them. Also, if you change the gaming dynamics so much to that of Halo people won't be able to recognize that this was SSB to begin with.Oh, here's videos of GG Overture compared to GG(the fighting series):See how weird Overture looks compared to GGXX? sniper
That's pretty much what I meant (guilty gear type play).Don't get me wrong, I am NOT saying that this would be a good game; I just wanted to know what people thought.(I personally would prefer the good old classic SSB over any other type)(Oh, I meant halo type gameplay as in the 3d environment)

Sector-T
Yeah, I think what he's saying is what DZ said, it's a 3-D movement game, but that's my theory, and if I was right, I would get it, it would.......ROCK!
Fox-Shot
It would likely play like Die Hard Arcade, which was awesome, except the stages would be bigger and you would move faster.

Sector-T
Awesome! But how would the game work if there was a smash ball and you're smash attack was a 2-D moving one?Ha, I guess that's why they haven't made one.
