Sol-Ratcht Saporro
What Would You DO!? The ressurrection. Well, at least on my end.Isn't this a charming one? Okay, so you're going over somebody's house and you're going to eat. You've known that you were going to this party for quite sometime and you are freaking hungry. When you first heard about this you didn't know how good of a cook this person was but you decided to go out of sheer curiosity. So when you arrive over to said host's house for the party you are enjoying the interaction, the atmosphere, the company and you are loving it. However when you settle down for dinner and see what's on your plate you hesitate. You see everyone else taking the first bite. You decide to join in and your initial reaction is to go "BLECH!" but since you are around guests you debate in your mind whether to continue eating or not. Hence the question:WHAT WOULD YOU DO!?For me, I would drown it in condiments and spices. That's about the nicest thing I would do and the most tolerant action I could take. If there were no condiments and/or spices I would just taste, spit it out and push the plate away. No point in putting myself through agony. For these options I wasn't quite sure on how people would react to bad cooking so I was just like thinking of random ideas. Meh. So, let me know what would you do? I'm just ever so curious on what everyone else would do?
Guest Julius Quasar
Get rid of it while no one's looking, but I'd surreptitiously dump it on someone else's plate
Guest Chiro-Chan
I'd be honest with the person, but not horribly brutal about it. There's a difference between being honest and blunt. So for example, instead of "This food is disgusting." I'd say "I'll be honest with you, and I'm really really sorry about this, but I do not like your cooking." Star Fox Runner
I have done every one of these choices multiple times in my life, so I pick all of the above.
Asper Sarnoff
I always make sure to eat only food made by myself or someone I know is a competent cook. That way, I can avoid situations like this.
Steve
Depends, if Sissi is the one cooking for me, then even if it tastes like mud, I shall eat it (with enough condiments...of course), without saying a word. Luckily for me, that hasn't happened yet! "runs". If it's someone else, well, I'll probably make a small comment, depending on how close I am from that person. And I would still drown it with condiments, specially BBQ .
