But I'd suggest you should work on punctuation, general sentence structure and spelling yourself quite a bit before you can tell others to work on theirs.I delete almost all my messages after I've read them, the exception being important ones.) Guest Julius Quasar
(I was thinking of running this quite a while still, but it seems its lost a lot of the steam. Julius has been gone for a couple of days, Catwings has unfortunately run into the wall again, still trying to reach her and offer my support. Hope they can both get back soon. But how about you Kursed and Para? Would you rather I lead it to the ending instead of carry on as intended?)(I'm sorry, I'm back now) "Do this, do that...'hurry up'...'C'MON, YOU WELPS!! DO YOU WANT TO BE PART OF A MONSTER ROAST??!!'...blah, blah blah..." Panther was sick of Wolf and Leon's bossiness...He expected that kind of talk from Wolf, and resented it, but he also resented Leon's backseat leadership. "Geez, Panther, I thought You'd be used to them by now." Falco smiled, observing Panther's fuming, as he (Falco) helped Katt along. "I'm used to Wolf bossing me around, but I think Leon needs a little lesson in humility..." "Whatever you're planning, don't do it...yet..."Panther scooped up a mud ball, and threw it at the back of Leon's head. It missed, and accidentally hit Wolf square in the back of the head. When Wolf turned and glared at him, Panther and Falco, standing next to each other, silently pointed to each other, in the classic "He did it" scared poses. "Panther, quit screwing around. Falco, Katt, everybody else...let's go!" Fox was trying to diffuse the situation.
Asper Sarnoff
(No problem Julius. What do you think? Should we drag it out for quite a bit longer, or try to end it quickly? Well, when I say quickly, I don't mean rushing it at the end, but jumping over some parts not strictly necessary.) Wolf turned around again, grumbling silently. Here they where trying to outrun some beasts out to kill and eat them, and those clowns where still fighting among each other. He broke into a jog and again took the lead of the group. Only him knew about the ravine that quite possibly lay ahead of them, and he didn't need someone to run into it now.And just as he tought that, the trees around him disappeared. He dug his heels into the ground, stopping a couple of meters away from a cliff falling straight down. "Halt!" He growled over his shoulder as he walked closer. It was a ravine alright. About 40 feets across, and there was a very, very long fall to the bottom, judging from the fact he couldn't see it. It was all hidden in darkness."If we don't get over, then we're in a world of trouble." He noted, slightly worried. This wasn't how he had intended to die, trapped like a rat in a corner. He looked to his left, to the northwest, but as far as he could see, there was no place to cross. But when he turned around to his right, he tought he spotted something. He squinted his one eye, and could now clearly see it was the log of a huge, old tree which had fallen over the ravine."There!" He barked as he started to run along the ravine. It was about half a mile away it seemed. He could only pray they would make it.
Guest Julius Quasar
(Sorry, my stupid mom needed the computer for an hour)Fox helped Krystal across the log over the ravine, and Falco did the same for Katt. After they crossed, Panther made his way across. "Easy as falling off a log...no pun intended."
Asper Sarnoff
(You still haven't answered my question!) (What do you think? Should we drag it out for quite a bit longer, or try to end it quickly? Well, when I say quickly, I don't mean rushing it at the end, but jumping over some parts not strictly necessary.) The log didn't seem as safe as he had tought from a distance. The roots on the other side were still resting solidly against the ground, but the other end didn't fully reach their side, and the only thing keeping it up was the numerous lianas hanging down from other trees, which it had gotten entangled in as it fell.Fox, Falco, Katt, Krystal and Panther had now gotten over to the other side, and together, he and Leon grabbed hold of Slippy and lifted him onto the the log. The amphibium looked like he was about to faint as he grasped tightly around the log and crawled slowly forweward. Leon followed soon after, he was an excellent climber, and his tail gave him good balance as he almost ran over the log. Then, it was only Wolf left. He grabbed hold of the branches and hoisted himself up onto the log. He stood up and cast a quick glance over his shoulder. Along the ravine, where they had just ran by only a minute earlier, a flood of dark, pulsating bodies came at an unbelivable speed. Some of the creatures raised their heads and let out angry shrieks at their prey, which were now almost within their grasp. They would get over the log just as easily as they had. There was only one option that remained.Wolf turned around and drew his knife. "Fox, Leon!" He shouted. "Get them safely off this island."As the first creatures leapt at him, he slew one of the with a thrust trough its troath while he knocked one off the log with the backside of his hand. Then, he changed the direction and sent his knife in a wide swing, cutting off several of the lianas holding the log up. The wood in the log groaned as it started to shift its weight. The rest of the lianas snapped one by one, and with a death groan like that from a dying monster, the log tore of the last lianas that held it up and plunged down into the ravine together with Wolf. For Wolf, it feelt like an eternity as the wall of darkness came up and devoured him. The rest of the stranded survivors could only watch as he disappeared into the shades.(Don't worry, he isn't dead. But we needed to change the status of the team somewhat. It was getting old for all of us with you just following me around and responding to what I did. With us seperated for a while, you'll have the possibility to go along more like you want yourself.) Asper Sarnoff
(Okay, let's try to finish this. I've yet to give up a project I have decided I'm going to finish, and I'll not let this RP become the first. Those still with us can get to the tower we were heading for. I'll leave it up to you to determine the details, but basically, it is the only part of a ruined temple that still towers above the treetops. I was thinking of something like Angkor Wat, google it to get a bucketload of info.In short, you will have to get to a tomb far below this complex. And it's not going to be easy. Think something alike to Indiana Jones and the Krazoa shrines of Adventures. Leaving the details to you guys.) Wolf was flying trough the darkness, in front of him there was a bright light shining down at him. The light was so bright he could almost not look at it, but he was still drawn to it, like a moth to a flame. Why he feelt such a need to go there, he didn't know. Perhaps a wish to finally rest in peace, to not be hunted anymore. As he slowly drifted towards the light, two shadows came meeting him. He could only see a vague outline as they blocked away some of the light, but as they got closer. He gasped in shock of what he saw.The two people that meant the most to him, his daughter and his wife, soared down to him on wings as white as the purest sunlight. "Turn around my love. It is not your time yet." Spoke his wife, her voice strangely warped, but still recognisable. "Where am I?" He asked them, to which his daughter responded as she soared down and rested her head on his right shoulder. "On your way to the realm of the dead. Turn around while you still can."Wolf brought them both into an embrace, clinging to them, as if he were afraid to loose them forever. "I'm not strong enough to go back. I've finally meet my match. All I want now is to rest." He said as he turned his attention to his wife. Her wise eyes stared into his soul as she responded. "No Wolf. The man I love is still there inside you. The one that could wether any storm, the one that never gave up. He is tired, but not dead. Come back, my love."Finally, Wolf knew what to do. He let slowly go of the two females and drifted apart from them. "I will see you again. I promise." He said as he turned around and started fighting his way back, away from the light at the end of the dark tunnel. He then found himself in a complete darkness. He couldn't see, feel or hear anything. But slowly, his finely tuned ears picked up a slow, rhytmic sound, one that started to grow stronger. It was the beating of a heart. His heart he knew. Slowly, it roose in strength untill it filled his mind like the thunder of mighty drums. Then, the sound of heavy breating came, a light in the darkness appeared in front of him again, becoming clearer and clearer.Wolf had returned to the living world. He slowly forced his one eye open, sand sticking to his soaked fur.He was resting on a beach of some kind, the rumble of the waves, the water that licked at his legs told him that. For what feelt like an eternity to him, he just lied there, gathering strenght, before he moved his arms under him and pressed himself up from the sand, looking around himself. The river in the ravine had lead him all the way out to the sea, he were at the foot of the might cliffs at the western coast of the island. He was lucky he had been washed up here, if not, he would have drowned. As a confirmation of this, he started to cough before he threw up a lot of sea water. He was alive, and unhurt apart from his whole body feeling sore and battered.First time he tried to stand up, his legs failed and he dumped back down again. On second try, he managed to keep standing, even if his tired legs shivered slighly. What would he do now? He had to get back to the rest of the survivors as quickly as possible. The tought that they might leave without him, or be killed and leave him alone on the island, to die lonely far from any friendly soul, it scared him.Slowly, he started to make his way along the coast, where he knew the cliffs would flat out and give him a chance to get back into the jungle again. Kursed
(Nice dream.) Krystal stopped the group in front of a temple she reached out her mind trying to see if it was Krazoa or Cerinian, no such luck. "I think we're going to have to go inside."She told the others she wished she had her staff for a torch.
Guest Julius Quasar
(Awesome Dream, Asper) "Yeah...but we gotta be careful. Old Temples can mean old booby traps, still working." "Yeah, plus there may be someone guarding the place, even after all this time." "We'll have to watch our steps, rhetorically and literally." *purr* "I wish you had your staff to use as a torch as well as a weapon, Krystal..." Guest Julius Quasar
(you're welcome) "This should be fun!" Panther looked amusingly up at the temple. "Stop joking around, Panther." Asper Sarnoff
With another exhausting effort, Wolf finally pushed himself over the edge of the cliff. He rolled over to his back, breathing heavily. The climb up from the shore had strained his already exhausted body to the maximum. But there was still no time for rest. He had to catch up with the others, before they ran into trouble, or escaped without him.He counted his heartbeats as he lied there, gathering the willpower that would force him forward again, and after what seemed like an eternity, he found it.He got back on his feet and started jogging inwards the island again.(Para is taking a long break, Cat's left for good it seems. So it is up to you two, Julius and Kursed, if you want to keep going.)
