What anthromorpic animals exactly?

We all know the Lylat universe is inhabited by anhtromorpic animals. It is probably one of the reasons we like the Star Fox series as much as we do in fact.

But how many different species of animals are there exactly in the Lylat system?

As far as I count, we have seen foxes, canines, felines, birds of prey, hares(and rabbits?), rats, pigs, racoons, amphibies, reptiles, wolfs and monkeys.

Also, the aparoids definatively have something "insecty" about them, and from the pictures I have seen, the anglars looks like anthro fishes.

Are there other species? And is there some wich you think SHOULD have been in the games?

there's also dinosaurs (the Saurians)...

I'm not sure if they count, since Sauria doesn't seem to be a part of the Lylat system.

Falls under felines, which I have already included.

I forgot the rats! But last time I checked, crocodiles and turtles were reptiles.

Oh! I was just naming animals off the top of my head! Sorry....

Btw I was just playing 64 a few seconds ago, and I noticed huge Angular Fish in the waters of Aquas. (Enemies in case you were wondering) Now Emperor Angular is Angular fish. So shouldn't that mean that the Angular fish on Aquas should be furry-errr scaley anthro characters?

Sauria is in the Lylat System, its just on the edge of it.

I don't remember ever seeing turtles in 64, what level was it?

Another thing I'd like to see some brainstorming about is this:

Since all inhabitants of the Star Fox universe are anthromorpic animals, what does normal animals look like then?

Well, there's those revolting undersea creatures of Aquas (like those stupid exploding starfish)

the Kani, Z-Gulls, and Z-Serpents of Zoness

No indigenous creatures on Titania...if there were any, they're dead now, the Goras creature doesn't count, since it's a bio weapon/planetary defense system built by the original Titanians.

I've seen beautiful blue butterflies on Sauria in Star Fox Assault and in Star Fox Adventures, I've seen, on Planet Sauria, Egg Snatchers, Bloops, and those stupid burrowing creatures that come out of the ground and spit at you, or attack you with their arms/claws...

I don't think regular animals exist in the Starfox Universe. That kinda insanity only happens in Animal Crossing. :P

Really? Are all the anthros in SF vegetarians then? I have kind of trouble imagining Wolf munching on a carrot. :?

That are all good examples. But there have to be a lot more species than that to create a functioning ecological system on any planet.

Maybe we liked it because it was a good game.

Ok Zicka, hold your tongue on that one, you are being a little bit too mean with that statement. Everyone is free to express why they liked the game.

You call Starfox fans Furries like it's a bad think. :|

Anyway, I don't think there are any other types of anthros from the games that haven't been mentioned yet... But so far throughout the series, we've only ever seen one bird, and that's Falco. I think the series needs more avians... Some type of rodent might be interesting too, like a squirrel or something.

Pizza and Lolipops. That's what the anthros survive on. XD

In all seriousness though I don't know. I doubt that issue will ever be brought up in the SF series either.

Furries...

Games. Plural.

It was definatively one of the reasons it have become so popular as it is/was. But you don't seriously think that it would have become as popular if it had starred real humans in the roles?

A squirrel would be interesting indeed. Kind of got an image of that crazy squirrel on speed seen in "Over the hedge."

Hehe, no it will probably never be. That is why I created this thread, not wanting to jump to conclusions on what is canon or not, but discuss what is most probable.

a turtle might make it (kung fu panda...) but a horse I don't think so problem is they have hoofs not paws... so you end up with stuff like.

Every game after 64 was not good. So yes, maybe you are right about the post-64 games being popular only for their appeal for furries, because they certainly weren't good games.

And there are rail shooters that are more popular than starfox by far, and they star humans. =/
