The Thing many forget.

I've been noticing a lot, that someone will say they thought James is still alive, just could not communicate because he was in another dimension. Although this is true in the comic and snes starfox, it is NOT TRUE in the later games, the story of the snes starfox was void in later games, it is not what happened.

If you are going to talk about the snes starfox then I encourage you to bring this up as often as you like, but when talking of later games, don't bring up the black whole alternate dimension stuff.

You're right in that the Black Hole storyline with James McCloud (aka Fox McCloud Sr.) was from the SNES era and therefore no longer canon, BUT...

The only thing that is said about James's death is that he died at the hands of Andross, it does not explain how it happened. Who's to say that Andross didn't send him into a Black Hole, or he COULD have even forced James, as a prisoner or a slave, to go out on a ship carrying the bombs that destructed and formed the Black Hole, which is how he ended up in the black hole in the comics.

I'm not saying this is how it is, but there's no proof that it isn't. Nintendo could easily take that route in explaining James's presence, and fans could certainly take that route in their imagination if they want to until the series officially tells us otherwise. So until we're given a definite explanation, you yourself also cannot tell fans what exactly is and is not either.

Yeah i thought of that whole deal, which is why i deleted a lot of lines i was thinking, but then there wouldn't be proof of them.

anyways, i wasna saying you can't think that Andros did indeed send him in a ship full a bombs and that he is in another dimension, all i was trying to say is that when people say they have proof of where James is, and they bring that one thing from the comic up, that they can't use that one as proof, beyond that, i have no idea.

You're right, other than the fact that Andross was responsible for James's death or death-like state, nothing is fact, we can't say for sure what happened to him. Cheers!

Ahh, another one of Star Fox's unexplained events. That's the beauty of it though, we can come up with our own explanations in our imaginations.

Agreed with Star Fox Runner

I have read a few fanfics that I enjoyed very well that could possibly be a good canon storyline for James death (Unlikely though)
