Starfox mccloud15
Hi there, long time no see XD. Anyway I'm really considering changing my wii for an xbox360, the reason is that I'm beggining to loose hope with nintendo (literaly) I mean they are really blowing it, they have series (of course our beloved starfox) which need a new game and all they do is how they die now I have really lost any remaining hopes, maybe they never release anew sf game... I had my hopes with the las rumor (the battle for corneria thingy) but now I see that they might just want to kill the series (which is stupid).they are characters we all love and if they really want to kill them they should at least sell the license, I mean do they really know how much ppl loves and wants a new sf game? Apparently not, and that's a shame... So I would like to know, should I give up all my remaining hopes and change my wii ( and risk getting upset and probably an ulser) or wait... Answer please thnx for worrying about this series, about this characters, thank u sf online u all rule! Sf rules, fox and Krystal 4 ever! XdI'll be seeing you

Guest Julius Quasar
I sympathize with you, Starfox mcloud15, but I think maybe you should wait..at least with SF Wii you got the virtual console, where you could download games like Star Fox 64, the original SNES Star Fox, and you could buy the Star Fox Gamecube games to play in the Wii... ThePointingMan
He he, I agree in multiple ways, accept the switch for a 360... I mean, I got both wii and 360, + more, I am not gonna take sides... well, maybe a little, I like the wii cause i luv smash bros, and it made my gamecube games work again, cause my game cubes lens was messed up i guess, but from my experience i'd say:Wii:To many family games, ipod app like games(well, i guess those are more ds), and party games.HAS SMASH BROTHERS!!!I be hearing things of Miyomoto saying he loves starfox, and would like to continue with the series.Xbox:Games lack color, browns and gray's, i guess there's red, but not enough, mad world is when you have enough... want that game...Has very good online features for the games.A sadness towards the amount of first person shooters, and the way they effect people.Has some cool xbox live arcade games, shadow complex is a goodun.I'd say you have to search long and hard for a good game on both... but when you find one, you can always enjoy it forever.just my thoughts on the matter. DZComposer
Star Fox isn't dead. Just last week Miyamoto said words to the contrary. No, it wasn't an announcement of a new game, but his words implied that Star Fox is not a dead franchise. Remember, it is possible for a franchise to sit out a generation. Look at Metroid: No Metroid game ever appeared on the N64, and now it has had two Gamecube games, one Wii game, and another Wii game in the works. Along with DS and GBA titles.I had my hopes with the las rumor (the battle for corneria thingy) but now I see that they might just want to kill the series (which is stupid).they are characters we all love and if they really want to kill them they should at least sell the license, I mean do they really know how much ppl loves and wants a new sf game?"Battle For Corneria" had absolutely zero credibility and was debunked immediately (Why would a Nintendo Power cover announcing a new SF game use art renders from SFAs?). It is never wise to put stock in rumors that pop up on random blogs or forums. As I said, the series is not dead, and aiming death threats at Nintendo is not going to make a game come faster, so please refrain from that in the they are characters we all love and if they really want to kill them they should at least sell the license, I mean do they really know how much ppl loves and wants a new sf game?Selling the license would not guarantee anything. Thus far, each SF game has been developed by a different company: SFSNES: Argonaut, SF64 Nintendo EAD, SFAd: Rare, SFAs: Namco, SFC: Q Games. So selling the series doesn't mean anything. Star Fox isn't a top priority for Nintendo right now. You also seriously overestimate the size of the SF fanbase. Star Fox sales have been declining since SFAd, with SFC not even coming close to moving 1,000,000 units on a system that has the largest installed userbase in the history of gaming. This is the reason the series is getting a break. They can better re-formulate how to move forward with the series if they aren't pressured into making a game right-away. Something has to change, as if those numbers continue, SF will likely be shelved.Apparently not, and that's a shame... So I would like to know, should I give up all my remaining hopes and change my wii ( and risk getting upset and probably an ulser) or wait... Answer please thnx for worrying about this series, about this characters, thank u sf online u all rule! Sf rules, fox and Krystal 4 ever! XdI'll be seeing you Don't give up hope. There is no reason to. We may not see SF on Wii, but it is too early to call. Even if we didn't, calling the series dead doesn't make sense either. Look at Metroid. Also, Please try to use proper spelling and grammar.I don't expect perfection (especially if Engish isn't your first language), but this isn't a chat room or IM, so there is no need for "u", "thx", etc. and punctuation and paragraphs make things much easier to read. StarFoxIII
Patience is virtue, starfox Mccloud15. Fans waited 15 years; 15 LONG YEARS before Nintendo finally released a new Punch-Out!! game and now everyone loves and appreciates the new addition to the said series. They're not gonna release a new SF game for Wii in 2009, but maybe in the 2010's. I don't see a 15 year wait for the next Star Fox. Nintendo just needs proof that people love the games in the Star Fox series and maybe if you, say, send them links to Star Fox fansites and fanart/fanfiction sites, they might have some more encouragement to release a new game sooner. To summarize my point and quote James McCloud, never give up and trust your instincts.

ThePointingMan
With the older ones, the metal they used to sauder parts together, melted when it got to hot, or so i've heard, causing the xbox to get a red ring, so i guess the newer ones have a metal that melts at a higher temperature. Zicka
Yeah, but the new punchout is lame.Starfox *is* dead. It died ever since Adventures came out for the cube.I was a loyal Nintendo fan ever since I got the NES, never touched anther system.now I have a 360, and have not regretted my decision one bit. Solder DOES melt when it gets hot. That's how you apply it. It also has a pretty low melting point. If a circuit gets hot enough to melt solder, I would be more interested in the cooling of the circuit (or the circuit design itself) before the solder.Defective solder is possible, but on the XBOX failure scale? I have doubts.... Most mass-produced electronics are wave soldered.Wave Soldering:PmGOMatwSDISoldering by hand:myyWEEYjjuUYou do not need to wear any heat-protective clothing. You can get a soldering iron at Radio Shack for like 15 bucks. Though a well-ventilated area (flux is toxic) and safety glasses (just in case something goes wrong) are recommended.
