Andrew McCloud
Agreed. And no offense to all of you that didn't join the fandom until after Adventures, but a lot of the crowd that was brought in has had a bit of a negative influence on the fandom as a whole. ThePointingMan
Quote I had no problem with the readeye tribe just the trapdoor in cloud runner castle.Ohnonononono, No problems with them, wasn't difficult, heck the whole game was a bit too easy, just around there the game lost it's appeal to me, less entertaining. One of the things I like most about the game was the scenery, around there it lost that, especially on dragon rock, and the moon place wasn't that great either. Starfox mccloud15
Quote Starfox taken seriously by game designers, that would be good.hell you are damn right.and something else, i have played every Strofox game there is, and i personally love SF adventures... i know it was a brutal genre-shift, but, it still was a good game, and it added many elements to Starfox, just my opinion though.and rainfyre66, you have some very good points, but i feel the real decline came along with SFassault and command, assault, let's face it, it was poorly done, the graphics only looked good on the short cinematics, full of glitches, sloppy control, short, easy to end, etc.command, why the heck should i explain...Don't get me wrong though, i still like assault, because it's starfox and because when it was released i really didn't think that XD
ThePointingMan
I still don't get what was sloppily done about it. I hear that all the time, but could someone explain why everyone thinks it's sloppily done, the only explanation I've heard is the fact that they skipped their LAN addition.Oh yeah, one more thing that is sloppy, on the orbital gate mission, it shows peppy for the picture of who's talking, but it isn't his voice. Sector-T
Yeah, that would be cool, but I'd have to admit, it would take quite a while to make something that awesome.

I really feel offended by that. personally I'm a multi platform gamer I prefure space sims and First person shooters thus Assault was Like a Dream to me. No offence to you older fans but i think the Negative influence is coming from the older people in the fandom being afraid of change. So it's all just a big misunderstanding. rainfyre66
Quote Let me start off by saying that I do not believe in using my admin powers just because I disagree with somebody. And if I ever do, I want someone to call me out on it to snap me back into reality.I wasn't saying that you were DZ, I was just on the defensive. Unfortunately most forum administrators/moderators, or especially self-proclaimed "authorities" of the subject at hand on forums will take their opinion as law and treat anyone else who voices their thoughts as though they're an idiot, and talk down to them. Granted, there are plenty of times that people who post "ask for it", in a sense, but I don't think that someone should be condescended to for stating a perfectly valid point of view or idea. Quote and rainfyre66, you have some very good points, but i feel the real decline came along with SFassault and command, assault, let's face it, it was poorly done, the graphics only looked good on the short cinematics, full of glitches, sloppy control, short, easy to end, etc.command, why the heck should i explain...That's what I was debating with DZ Composer with, my argument being that it wasn't just the genre shift that affected SF's fanbase, but rather the mediocre quality of the games that followed that caused it to drop off even more.Quite frankly, I do think a 3D shooter would be Star Fox's best bet for a next game, but whatever route they do take I just hope they put some real effort into it, even if we have to wait a little longer for it. Falcory
Quote Did SFAd bring new people in? Yes. But it also made some good people leave. This seems a little selfish IMO. You're upset at Starfox Adventures because it made some people leave the forums?I know a lot of people liked that Starfox was just a plain arcade shooter. But a lot of people liked the genre-shift including me. I mean it's not like they have left the arcade shooter style. Starfox still keeps pretty much the same basic gameplay in ALL of their games and even though some may have it less than others, (*CoughAdventuresCough*) it's still in there. So even though it's your opinion I still don't see the need to reinstate your rant everytime someone talks about a genre-shift.Now about a Starfox MMORPG....If it was just a Starfox MMO game where you could make your own custom furry avatars, choose your campain, (Joining the Cornerian army, Becoming mercenaries or working for Andross/Or another bad guy) work alongside famous starfox characters and teams, have many air, land, and sea vehicles to choose from, and the ability to travel to other planets well that would be an awesome game. Starfox mccloud15
I don't know how will the next game be, I just hope they don't forget starfox and that they release a new one, one with the same good quality as sf, sf64, and SFadventures

I agree, sounds pretty fun. the best thing bout MMORPG's is that if they suck at first, they are always upgraded later, not that I play many, to much point and click action... Starfox is about Sci-fi and the furries like Fox adventures still had Fox and a little bit of Sci-fi (startrek continuously ended up on 'magical' planets) so that leads me to conclude they were not true fans of starfox ,but the gameplay. ThePointingMan
Mebbe so, I'm assuming you chose these games cause you enjoyed them a lot, right? You did not become a fan of those games, because, for you, Imma assume again, that gameplay does not lead you to being a fan, but for others, Gameplay is their Fandom, their still fans, just different fans, but both are true fans in my opinion. Kursed
okay then the people were gameplay fans unlike those who havn't left like me who are fan's of something else Personally i'm a fan of Krystal as long as starfox has her and Fox in it I will continue to be a fan. I belive i had a discussion about this with mr.K i belive he said something along the lines that I'm not a Fan because I'm a fan of the CHaracters and Not the gameplay. I mean they are other rail shooter/arcade shooters out there. But people are generally considered a fan of a game series because along with the gameplay they also like the thematic elements, storyline and characters. As intriguing as this conversation is however I have to point out this is the wrong topic to discuss this. I'll make a new topic based on this discussion.
