"Not everyone is as passive as you may think.  Bandits are unpredictable at times since they tend to be reasonable at first, then uncooperative the next."  He explained to everyone through the Landmaster's speakers and served as a lookout.

"That's how my daughter thinks Para she's not as much as a fighter as I am."Krystal noted as a good number of fighters came down at the strafing the ground near them with lasers and going back up for another pass "Let's see what this gun can do."Krystal muttered flippign a switch  the cannon on the lanmaster swiched over to Rapid fire mode and krytal started firing a Hailstorm of Laser blast at the incoming fighters. "Not bad."

Para stepped to the side whenever the cannon got near him, then he soon saw a figure waving two glowing sticks in the air.  "Kari:  Decrease speed.  I believe we're here."  He whispered into his mic and the figure soon became a Snow Bandit; waving the sticks in the groups direction.

Soon, twenty bandits were near the Landmaster, weapons drawn, and aimed at Para.  "Let me handle this.  To avoid any other problems, cut the engine."  He, again, whispered into his mic.  He stepped off the Landmaster and one of the armed bandits pointed his gun to Para's head.  Para rose his hands in surrender and proceeded to the man with the glowing sticks.

"Yan' Bodau keind zi' bas?"  It asked Para calmly pointing his sticks.  Para glanced over his shoulder, then back to the man.

"We are stranded and need shelter for a few nights.  Do you have any spare --"  Before Para could finish, all the soldiers cocked their guns.  The man rushed forwarded motioning to lower their weapons, "Sai' Dobah, SAI' DObah!!  And vat iz your reason for being stranded een zis blizzaird?"

Para rose a hand to Krystal, and shook his head.  "I, along with the two vixens exiting their tank, were doing a few maintanance jobs until we saw a ship crashland out in the traverse, so we rescued her and we've lost coordinates to our station."

The bandit tilted his head and rose an eyebrow, "Rrrealllyyyyyy now...?  Why should I believe you 'maintanance workers'"  He finished with a slim grin and wheezingly chuckled.

Meanwhile, a couple of miles from their location, a large shadowy figure stood silently while the storm raged around him. Fenris Douglas removed the binoculars from his sight and squinted against the raging wind and snow.

They were difficult to track. But that only made him more determined than ever to find them.

He didn't even know why the little fox girl was so important. But his employes had offered him a considerable fee if he could capture her and bring her to him. It was all a part of the game.

He lifted the binoculars in front of his eyes again, cycling trough the various scanners and filters built into it. It was useless, it couldn't penetrate the wall of snow, ice and fog.

Fenris wrapped his jacket tighter around himself as he turned around and walked back to his car. The wind grabbed hold of his fur and his clothing, making them flap in the wind for a couple of seconds before he jumped up in the tall offroader and closed the door behind himself.

Inside, it was surprisingly warm. Fenris let out a sigh of pleasure as he ached himself down into the comfy leather seat.

He flicked a couple of switches, turning the infrared cameras on and turning all the lights of. He didn't want them to see him coming, he wanted to have the element of surprise now that the fox had company to protect her.

He showed the gear lever into first gear, and let out the clutch before he gunned the Mammoth MX trough the snow and into the direction he knew his prey were.

"Because we were repairing the Climate Control Center when we found a small short circuit in the mainframe."  Para responded back, showing the man his Scanner.  The man nodded in agreement and motioned to the soldiers to report back to their posts.

"How badly is this 'short circuit' malfunctioning?"  He asked.  Para looked at him, but as he was telling him the wind picked up dramatically and caused them both to stagger around.  "QUICKLY!!!  INSIDE, NOW!!!"  He yelled to Para and the others, waving his glowing sticks at the Command Station behind the gates.  He turned, waving the sticks to the tower in the distance, and the gates unlocked:  The steel doors moaning as they slid apart.

Para hopped back onto the Landmaster and motioned to Krystal and Kari to get back in it; his scarf was over his muzzle so that the ice from the wind didn't damage his scars on his face.

Krystal ducked back down into the landmaster contacting Para through his communicator "If we don't fix that control center soon this weather will become permanent."Krystal notified Para "Also I have a strange feeling that our Friend is here for  a reason."

"Agreed.  Krystal, you and I will rendezvous outside whenever we get referbished.  Kari; I need you to watch after that young vixen in the Landmaster.  Do NOT let her escape your eyes."  He chimed back to them, and looked off amongst the blizzard.  "UV Scope Initiate."  He murmured, and the area around him show blue shading, no heat, around most of the area, but he saw a multicolored object in the distance, but ignored it.

Para didn't reply and followed the others inside.  He looked around for a coffee machine and saw several of the soldiers walking back from a room with hot coco in their cups steaming since it was just made.  Some of them were brushing snow off their uniforms while the others just ignored it and let it melt.  The snow on Para, however, ran off and melted on the floor, then he calmly made his way to the room; disappearing for a few minutes.

One of the soldiers walked up to the three vixens and motioned to an empty table.

The offroader creept slowly trough the snow. Fenris had just switched to the back-up electrical engine, as he didn't want to loose the element of surprise.

He stopped it around half a mile from the bandit outpost, keeping out of sight behind some huge snow drifts.

Now, that they were out of the landmaster, he had the advantage again. For as long as they stayed at the outpost that was. He needed to act quickly.

He started to change his outfit, took of his thick and restrictive jacket and put on a black balaclava over his face. He opened the door and jumped out into the snow. The snow storm would hide him and the car, as well as cover up any tracks in a matter of minuttes. It was all perfect.

He started to sneak closer to the tall fence surrounding the buildings. At each of the four corners stood large towers at about 30 feet in heigh, with armed guards and searchlights in each. The wire fence itself was only half as high, but the top was covered in barbed wire. And he didn't want to cut a hole into the fence, something a patrolling guard could spot.

He decided he would climb the southeast tower, the one second closest to him. If someone detected the mess he would cause there, they would assume he had come from another direction, and thus not find his car.

Avoiding the searchlights were childs play. They moved in an easy and predictable patern. He looked up at the tower he where about to scale. The smell of tobacco ripped trough his nose.

Amateurs! They were relaxing and smoking cigars when they were supposed to be on the lookout for intruders. But, what else would one expect from a bunch of bandits.

He grabbed hold of the scaffolding of the tower and started to climb upwards. Fast, but in utter silence.

It took him about half a minute to reach the top. He could see the single guard standing with his back against him, leaning on the hand rail.

Without a sound, Fenris jumped over the rail and rose up to his full length, towering up behind the unsuspecting guard.

He rose his mechanical right arm, and like a vipers head, it shoot out and grabbed around the guards neck.

The splintering sound of bones crushing could be heard as the weight of several tons per square inch pulverised his neck, before a short whistle signaled the trachea had been punctured and the air in the lungs escaped.

Fenris let the lifeless body fall down on the floor of the tower.

He walked up to the hand rail and studied the buildings below him. He needed to find wich one housed the kid, and then get to her. He knew no one would spot the murdered guard before the next shift came, in about one and a half hour. He had plenty of time.

Krystal sensed danger "No thanks."She said to the  man in front of her then made hand signals to Kari who nodded in responce. Despise being a little more fearful than her mother Kari had spent alot of time with her mother and not only did the two have a vrey strong telepathic link ,but the two could simply read their own gestures to tell what they were saying a skill the two used to their advantage.

Para walked back in with a steaming cup of hot cocoa and leaned against the wall, watching the snow storm waging and kept blowing more harder.  He pressed the cup to his muzzle, while still staring out the window and sipped a small portion of it before glancing over at Krystal, whom was giving sign signals to Kari.  After he saw her do this, he rose and eyebrow and turned back to the window.  One of the soldiers stood near him and looked out the same window; ignoring Para altogether.

"It's a monster of a storm, isn't it..?"  He inferred in a raspy tone and Para looked over at him.  The soldier had an eyepatch over his right eye, scar going up the right side of his lip, and a scar which looked like a blade wound down the right side of his face.  "It's not unusual for this type of weather to occur in these parts.  We just ignore it like it's another day of patrol."

"I see...  But have you ever encounter a storm more worse than the one we're having?"  Para asked, pointing to the window with one of his fingers from holding the cup.

"Ohhh...  Only three, as I recall.  One of which causing this scar."  He replied pointing to the one on the side of his face.  "Icicle; wind blew so hard that it caused a tower to collapse, I was underground at the time, and caused an icicle to fall from the cave's roof, I looked up when I heard the ground shake, then I felt the sharp point pierce down the side of my face."  He recalled the moment while slowly rubbing the scar.  "Hurt, but the coldness numbed it afterwards.  I don't remember how much blood I lost, but it had to have been a good amount."

"I'm...  Sorry to hear that."  Para said, turning to the window.  The soldier shook his head and waved his hand to Para.

"Ehh, don't worry about it, sonny.  I've had worse.  It's not as bad as losing an eye from staring out in the snow for so long."

Fenris made his way to the power house. It hadn't been to difficult finding out where the kid was held. Now, he needed a suitable diversion. He darted from shade to shade, keeping out of sight from any passing guards and from the windows in the buildings.

He stopped right by the power house. The steady drone from the generator could clearly be heard trough the wall.

Outside the door stood a single guard. Again, he were not impressed. Smart bandits would have put at least two on guard at such an important target.

Fenris bent down and grabbed a handfull of snow, forming it into a snowball wich he then threw into the shades of another building some fourty feets from him. The loud thud as it hit the ground caused the guard to straigthen himself up and focus all his attention on that spot. "Who dere?" He snuffled as he started walking slowly toward the spot the sound had come from. Fenris darted behind his back and hid in the shades again.

The guard spun around again, holding his gun ready for the shot. "Who's there?" He said again, this time with a hint of fear shining trough his voice.

Fenris changed location again, and again, and again. Constantly causing the guard to become more and and more disorientated and scared. Now, he were slowly backing up towards Fenris.

"Where are you?!?" He almost shouted as he were now only a couple of feet away from Fenris.

"Here!" Fenris growled as he grabbed hold around the guards face with his right arm and in a single, fluid motion lifted him from the ground and crushed him into the concrete wall beside them.

Fenris let go of the lifeless body and walked away, the guard were still hanging as his head was now deeply embedded into the concrete wall.

He opened the door to the power house and walked inside. The sound from the diesel generator was deafening now. Fenris tought about it for a second how he should disable it before he settled on explosives. Trying to rip it apart with his mechanical arm could be dangerous as it wasn't fully insulated.

He took out a tiny box from one of his belt pouches. Twisted a knob untill he had set the timer to three minuttes. A push of another button armed it and started the countdown.

Fenris threw it at the huge piece of machinery, and due to the tiny electrical magnet inside, it stuck to the side of it.

He turned around and made his way outside, now he had to get in position til the fireworks would start.

Para looked around and, hearing his name, and saw Krystal calling him.  He walked from his spot near the window, but stopped abruptly; turning around the the soldier he was chatting with.  "Sorry to cut our little friendly conversation, but I've got to go see to someone."

"Heh, do as you need, sonny.  I'm always here if you need a chatter."  He hoarsly chuckled and took a sip of his hot cocoa.  Para chuckled as well and turned back around, making his way to Krystal with his cup to his muzzle.  He knelt down beside her and looked over his shoulder, then back to her.  "What is it?  Something wrong?"  He questioningly whispered to her.
