Saving Jackie

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para stepped in front of Krystal and the others, sabers drawn, and set one in front of Krystal, energy buzzing as it sat in front of her.  Blankly staring back at Fenris, he spoke in a low, serious tone, "Go, you three...  I'll handle things from here."  He started advancing slowly to Fenris, but stopped halfway hearing the engines of the Malestorm.  He shot his head around and looked up in the sky, "Todd...?  Lola?  Why in god's name are they doing here?!?"

The Malestrom landed in front of Para. 

The side door opened, and Fox hopped out. 

"Krystal!  I'm so glad to see you!  Are you all right?  How's Kari?  Did you find Jackie?"

Fox then turned to see Para.  "Hello Para! Good to see you."  Fox gestured to the Malestrom

"Todd and Lola gave me a ride from the Climate Control Center." he said. 

Todd and Lola waved at Para and Krystal from the doorway.

"Beats me."Krystal said as she made a Dash for the Maelstrom with Kari in tow Carrying Jackie.(does anyone dissaprove of me Playing Jackie?)

(I don't see a problem with it)  Para shook his head, "No..  I'm staying.  Go on without me."  He gripped his sabers tighter and kept his stare on Fenris.  "So, pal.  Shall we take this somewhere else, or do you want to duke it out here?"

(I vote for Kursed taking controll of Jackie.)

"Your either very brave boy. or very stupid to fight alone with me." Fenris grabbed hold of a railing of steel beams close, and ripped out a steel tube, about four feet in length. Holding it in his right arm, the mechanical link in his wrist started to spin around, faster and faster. Untill the steel tube was rotating so fast it seemed like he was holding a large shield. With his left hand, he drew his blaster from its holster and held it at the ready.

"Prepare!" He snarled as he started to move against Para.

"All aboard, everyone.  But what of the Landmaster? Shall I drive it?"" asked Fox.  Todd and Lola raised the other row of seats, strapping Jackie safely in place.

Todd and Lola took the pilot and copilot seats, and the front row of seats for Krystal, and Kari to sit in.

"Go for it, cuz...if you won't, I will..." said Todd.

"No...I'll get it..." said Fox, jumping out the door.  Todd nodded, and Lola said "Good luck, Fox!".

Todd added "Good luck, cousin.  Take a different route back to the climate control center, in case someone tries to follow us!"

"Good idea"

Todd closed the door to the Malestrom, and flew then back to the climate control center.  Fox got into the Landmaster.

JAckie resisted todd and lola's attempt to put her in a seat untill Kari pushed the two aside and set her in herself assuring her.

KRystl deactivated her Psionic Sword 'Come back in one Piece Para.'Krystal thought to him.

Para nodded to Krystal's thought and swiftly went into his fighting stance; sabers buzzing as the flew against the wind.  "Say whatever it is you may.  Lets just get this over with..."  He growled and started advancing on Fenris.  This may be a little tough trying to get this past his mechanical arm,  He thought to himself But I'll take all the changes I can get!

The Malestrom landed at the Climate Control Center.

"We're here!" Todd said.

"Is Slippy gonna be here to fix the climate control center?" asked Lola.

"I wish Akasha or Silas were here, they could fix it." said Todd.

Meanwhile, back at the outpost, Fox got into the Landmaster, and checked its stats.

[Kursed]

(permission to use Akasha?) Jackie started to Cry all these peopel scared her and the fact that that one guy was after her althoguh she din't know about it she felt somethign odd about Fenris.

"Oh, C'mon, Jackie, sweetie, don't cry!" Lola patted Jackie comfortingly.

"We're here to help you..." Todd replied.

"She's just scared of you since she doesn't know you said a familair voice not coming from KRystal or Kari it was Akasha she had stole away on the ship while they weren't looking "Did sombody call my name?"She asked as Kylie appeared behind her out of the shadoes

"AKASHA!" said Todd and Lola simultaneously, hearing and seeing her.

"I...said your name, originally, Akasha...the Climate Control Center needs to be fixed...the blizzards on Fichina are back, and if we don't fix the Climate Control Generator, then the planet will become barren again." Todd said.

"General Pepper sent us to fix it, and to rescue Jackie here..." said Lola.

"We're halfway done, with Jackie rescued, but we need to fix the generator." Todd added.

Fenris slowly lowered the rotating steel girder until it started to scrape against the concrete floor for each rotation. A stream of glowing sparks were directed against Paras face, distracting him as Fenris lighning quick lifted his blaster and fired a three-shot burst at his enemy's chest.

As Fox did a systems check on the Lamdmaster, he found an anomaly.

The computer showed on the underside of the hull, a device planted there.

"What the hell!?"  Fox scanned the device.  It wasn't a bomb.  Fox crept out of the Landmaster cabin, and searched the spot where the device was.  He found and removed it from the hull.  A tracking device.  "What the!?". 

Fox snarled in anger..."Wise guys..." he muttered.  He took the device, and placed it on the ground, and pulled away.  He was careful not to move the device to far, for he didn't want whoever might be tracking him to know the device was moved in the slightest way.

He then got into the Landmaster, and took a roundabout rout for the Climate Control Center.

"...'Deep Blue'?  This is Red Leader.  I found a 'bug up the butt'.  I 'farted it out', but I just wanna alert you guys at 'base camp' that we might 'face a storm'.  Word has it that 'Snow Fox hunting season has started', and I think the hunter put the 'bug up the butt'.  Keep you guard up, and stay alert."  Fox was careful not to say the location of 'base camp', or any other details in case the transmission was intercepted.

His message was really "Krystal?  This is Fox!  I found a tracking device on the Landmaster.  I removed it, but I just want to alert you guys at the Climate Control Center that we might face an attack.  Whoever planted the tracking device must be the one after Jackie, rumor has it there's a bounty on her head.  Stay Alert" but for safety reasons, he had to encrypt it.

"AKASHA!" said Todd and Lola simultaneously, hearing and seeing her.

"I...said your name, originally, Akasha...the Climate Control Center needs to be fixed...the blizzards on Fichina are back, and if we don't fix the Climate Control Generator, then the planet will become barren again." Todd said.

Para staggered from the sparks the showered in his face and deflected two of the shots with his saber, but the third slammed into his upper right chest cavity.  "URRRRghh...!!"  He groaned and glared back up at Fenris.  "...That the best you got??"  He taunted and swung his whole body, with his sabers, in a propeller style fashion towards Fenris.

Fox made his way to the Climate Control Center, and parked the Landmaster safely out front, inside the perimeter of the outer barrier/perimeter shield.

He walked into the center, and turned on the perimeter shield, protecting the Landmaster, and the Malestrom parked outside, and the Climate Control Center building.

He walked through the building..."Hello?  Todd?  Lola? Krystal? Kari? Jackie?" he called.

"yeah Fox what do you need fox?"Akasha asked appearing out of the Shadows Kylie was being her somewhere in teh center working.

Fenris didn't reply. The dog who have the hardest bite is the one that barks the least.

He holstered his gun, stopped the rotation of the mechanical arm and gripped the steel girder with both arms, standing ready in a fighting stance.

(Okay Para, to avoid this fight to become drawn out to a long, dreary godmodding party, how do you think we should proceed? I think that after a vicious battle, one of us have to be beaten up real good, such as getting hurled into a building, and then it collapses over him. The victorius one thinks his adversary as dead, and goes to catch up with the rest of the players, what he doesn't see is that his adversary digs himself out of the ruines behind him as he leave.

Who should bite the dust?)

(That is really cool of you. + Respect from me. And also perhaps the best since the teams are a bit unevenly matched. I'm the bad guy here, and will lose anyway.)

Fenris rushed towards Para, feinted a strike against him only to change direction and strike for his right shoulder. But Para paried it with crossed blades.

Fenris twirled around and launched a crushing back kick that hit Para in the chest before he could block it and sent him stumbling back several steps.

Fenris charged at him again, swinging the steel girder into an upper sweep, which Para dodged away from. Fenris keept attacking relentlessly, never giving his opponent chance to catch his breath or counterattack.

A confident shine flickered in Fenris's ice blue eyes. Like a predator which knows his prey is about to fall.

Suddenly, Para changed his fighting style, snuck pasts Fenris's guard and gave him a cut across his chest.

Fenris pushed him away from himself and took a quick glance at the wound. It wasn't deep, but the boy had marked him, a sign that he wasn't a pushover. It was time to end this quickly and get back to business.

"Not bad, not bad." He growled at Para as he started to slowly circle around him. Like a shark about to strike.

"yeah Fox what do you need fox?"Akasha asked appearing out of the Shadows Kylie was being her somewhere in teh center working.

"Ahh, good! There you are!  Is everyone safe and sound here?"

"We're fine, Fox! We got Jackie, we got Krystal, Lola, and Kari, Akasha and Kylie are fixing the Climate Control Center, and we'll be able to go as soon as Para gets here, and Akasha and Kylie finish." said Todd.

"Good...you guys get my message?"

"We did hon, and we understood you.  Congrats." said Lola.

"Good. Todd, Lola, go out and patrol the perimeter, the shield is turned on, but I want you two to stick together and keep an eye out for that guy who's after Jackie.  Also, look sharp for Para.  If he arrives, contact me, and I'll turn off the shield and let him in here."

Fox turned to Krystal and Kari "I'm sending half of the sentry bots out with Todd and Lola, and keeping the other half in here, to patrol with you two...I'll monitor all the stations and systems from the master console over there."

Fox called over his shoulder to Todd and Lola:

"No goofing around out there, you two!  Stay alert!"

"Okay!" Todd said, crossing his fingers behind his back.

"You got it, darling..." Lola said, also crossing her fingers behind her back.

They went outside, with half the sentry bots assisting them in their patrols.

"I hope they do their job..." muttered Fox, watching them leave.  He the sat at the master console, monitoring the radars, alarms, vital systems to the Center, and more.  "Doing great on those repairs, Akasha and Kylie!  Keep it up!" he said.

(Okay, tought I'd give Para time to react to my post. But as it's been a couple of days now. I'll end it now.)

With a growl, Fenris attacked again, driving Para back step by step with the ferocity of a hurricane. Para held his ground admirably, countering and waiting for Fenris to tire and slow down.

But Fenris showed no sign of tiring, their weapons almost moved to fast to be seen by the naked eye. It was a magnificent performance of reflexes, skills, agility and strenght.

Then Fenris spun around and beat Paras twin sabers to one side with the steel rod, opening up for the coup de grace.

A kick sent Para stumbling backwards untill he hit the wall of the building Fenris had been driving him up against. Fenris stormed against him raised his right fist and put all the force of the mechanical arm into blow against Paras head. But in the last split second before his skull would be crushed, he let himself drop down to the ground and Fenris fist struck the concrete wall of the building. With a thunderous crack, the wall started to splinter over them.

With a casual throw, Fenris swithced the steel rod into his left arm before he raised it and thrusted it down towards Para. The boy shut his eyes for a second, awaiting the inevitable death, but when it didn't come, he opened them again, and saw that Fenris instead had struck the pole straight trough his jacket, nailing him down to the ground.

Fenris sent him a cold smile before he turned his back againt him and started walking away. He ignored the screams of terror as the buidling started to collapse over the immobilized boy. The grinding and crashing of stone filled the air before it was replaced by utter silence.

One of his enemies was now down. Time to go for the child again.

There wasn't many places they could be. The climate controll center which he had sabotaged didn't stop flight in low altitudes, but the storms it caused high up in the atmosphere hindered any attempt to leave the planet. Besides, it was the only place except his manor for many, many miles.

He walked out the main gates of the bandit camp. Most of the scum had run away earlier, they had nowhere to go and wouldn't survive this storm for long. The clumsy fools would get their vehicles stuck in the snow and end up freezing to death in the night.

He decided to opt for an arial attack, now that his enemies also had their own aircraft. He would have to drive back to his manor, where his Wolfen was waiting for him.

"This isn't a failure of the system somebody sabotaged this!"Akasha noted as she continued the repairs

"why is this person after jackie.' Who put this bounty on her.' 'why does she have a bounty on her she doesn't look very threatenting.' These thoughts circled in Krystal's head as she guarded the entrance to the Malestrom  as Jackie had decided to stay inside the maelstrom taking a nap.

Kari also waited inside the Maelstrom.
