Saving Jackie

Todd and Lola had an impromptu snowball fight outside, as the sentry bots who went out with them patrolled the perimeter, within the outer/perimeter barrier shield.

Then Todd and Lola got into the Landmaster, and drove around the center.  After circling it a couple of times, Todd stopped the tank, and he and Lola "got close", on the back floor of the Landmaster, making it gently rock, as the two of them fooled around on the foam sleeping pads, and under the survival blankets, in the back of the Landmaster.

Fox saw the Landmaster on the surveillance camera monitor, rocking gently.  He growled in anger, and hit the comm button and contacted the Landmaster.

"I know what you two are doing in there! Stop that!  You better not stain those seats!"

The Landmaster stopped rocking, and Todd and Lola got dressed again, and put back the sleeping pads and blankets.  They then drove the tank some more, on patrol.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para was unconscious for some time after the structure fell on top of him.  He groaned under his breath as he slowly opened one eye;  Visor shattered and head piece hanging from the right side of his ear.  He struggled to settled on a knee and stared at his bandages that were ripped off and a violent color stained every opened wound.  He shuffled to the surface, coughing from the debris smoke, then emerged on the ground.

He staggered about in the snow before collapsing a mile from the destroyed building then fell onto his knees, gasping for air before collapsing onto his back in the snow.  His furr coat soon a faded back to it's red tone and Para soon was unconscious; only listening to the howls of the wind and watching snow race about in the air, changing directions.

[Kursed]

KRystal  immedantky accessed the comm system "Somebody get Para quick! he's somewhere near the outpost i was just in!"

KAri had fallen alseep in the chair next to the one jackie was sleeping in.

"OH S***!" 

"Huh?" asked Todd, hearing Krystal.  "Who?  Para? Oh, PARA!" Lola said.

"I'll get him...Todd, Lola, come with me!  I need to use the Landmaster!" said Fox.

"Okay" said Todd.

Fox went outside, and got into the Landmaster with Todd and Lola, and said into the comm  "If someone could please turn of the shields, I can drive out to Para.  Turn the shields back on once I'm gone!"

As Para was out, he dreamt back to the time he was his regular self, until that day changed his life entirely:  Being hurled through windows of skyscrapers, thrown several miles from one location, watching his co-workers be severed limb from limb and in half, and hearing screams of tremendous terror as the images cycled in his dreams.

"Sheilds are off."Kylie noted

"Thanks, Kylie!" Fox drove the Landmaster out and away from the Center, and back to the rebel outpost.

About half an hour with hard driving later. Fenris's Mammoth MX rumbled trough the electrical gates which locked of his property and drove it into the underground garage. The doors closed behind him with a loud click.

An old bloodhound limped into the large open room. Blamelessly dressed in a suit, and carrying a tray with a large cup of warm chocolate. "Welcome home Master Douglas, I took the liberty of making something special for your return.

"Thanks Aron, but I'm not quite done yet." Fenris said as he hasted past his butler towards the section where his Wolfen was keept. "Very well Master Douglas. But be carefull." Aron said with a fatherly smile.

"Ain't I always?" Fenris noted back as he jumped up into the cockpit of his customised Wolfen and started strapping himself down. He flickered on a few buttons before he started the engine. The homebuilt engine coughed into life with a loud roar. It sounded meatier and deeper than the standard Wolfen engine, like a large carnivores growl.

"That was what I were afraid you would say." Aron noted to himself as Fenris took off and gunned the matte black fighter out of another hatch, which also closed behind him.

Fenris rapidly took the fighter down, sweeping only a couple of metres over the snow covered ground. Keeping well under the the lower boundaries of any radar. He quickly accelerated up to Mach 2.3 where he started cruising. He estimated he would reach the climate control center in 7 minutes, give or take a couple of seconds.

(Ok, going to bed for today.)

Fox saw the Climate Center's shield come back on, just before losing sight of it over the ridge. 

He turned to Todd and Lola, cuddling in the back.  "You two need to respect Team Star Fox property, be it Real Estate, Tangible/Personal Personal, or Intangible/Copyrighted Property!  Especially here in the Landmaster!  It's time for you two to grow up!"

"Sorry Fox..." said Lola.

"Sorry cousin..."  Todd said

"Fine..just stay alert! We're gonna rescue Para!"

The Landmaster continued, and neared the rebel outpost.

"I don't like waiting here how long is it going to take to repair the control center?"Krystal asked

"about 7-8 minutes whoever sabotaged this knew exactly what to damage to make it time consuming.

[Asper Sarnoff]

"You are quite resourcefull. But it shall awail you nothing." Someone noted to the two women from the shadows. Out of the darkness stepped the bounty hunter, Fenris. "Surprised?" He asked retoricaly as he drew his blaster out and aimed it at them, ready to shot them as soon as they made a movement. "I came in BEFORE you closed the shields. Now, give me the child!" He snarled.

"You are quite resourcefull. But it shall awail you nothing." Someone noted to the two women from the shadows. Out of the darkness stepped the bounty hunter, Fenris. "Surprised?" He asked retoricaly as he drew his blaster out and aimed it at them, ready to shot them as soon as they made a movement. "I came in BEFORE you closed the shields. Now, give me the child!" He snarled.

"Put the Gun Down!"Kylie growled walking out of the shadows with his own blaster drawnl

"We both sensed you here we were ready for you and we're not handing over the child."Krystal replied grasping her psionic sword.

"Para! Where are you!?"

Todd, Lola, and Fox searched the rebel outpost for Para.

"Para! Para?" called out Todd, Lola, and Fox.

Todd saw Para across the room they entered.  "He's here!"

Todd, Lola, and Fox ran up to Para, who was unconscious, and they tried to revive him.

"Wake up, hon!" Lola said, gently shaking Para from one side.

"C'mon, get up!" Todd shouted, shaking Para from the other side.

"Todd, Lola, stop, that isn't helping."

Todd and Lola stepped back, as per Fox orders.

A mind reader! That was unfortunate. He had hunted several of their kind earlier, they were difficult prey, but prey nonetheless. He imediatly started to concentrate his mind, using the technicues he had taught himself to hinder mind readers to feel him.

"You don't think you can win, do you?" He asked as he raised his gun into the air, and fired it.

The shot struck one of the major pipelines running below the roof, creating a hole which imediatly started spouting out a thick smoke which filled the room in a matter of seconds. The liquid nitrogen used to cool down the climate controll generator was now cooling the room down rapidly.

The emergency locks isolated the break and stopped the stream some seconds later, and as the smoke started to get sucked away by the air-con system, it revealed Fenris had disappeared from the room.

"Let's just carry him outta here!" said Todd, and he, Lola, and Fox, carried Para into the Landmaster, and within 5 minutes, they were on their way back to the Climate Control Center.

As they drove along, Fox had an uneasy feeling.  He picked up speed in the Landmaster.

"Why we speeding up, cuz?" asked Todd.

"Something's wrong...I can feel it..the Climate Control Center.

The Landmaster went over a large bump.

Lola screamed, and gripped Todd, whom she landed on top of as they fell off of the seat.

Para was laying safely in the back.

"I didn't know you cared!" Lola said to Todd, playfully.  They laughed and exchanged a deep kiss while on the floor.

"Sorry about that? You two okay?" Fox turned around and saw what Todd and Lola were doing on the floor.  "Okay you two, that's enough!  Get back in your seat.  We're almost there!".  The Landmaster pulled up to the Center.  "Why are the shields off!?" asked Todd, with a hint of panic in his voice.  "I don't know..c'mon! Let's go! Leave Para in here for now!".

Todd, Lola, and Fox, weapons drawn, exited the Landmaster, and entered the Center.

As Para sat in the back, he started shaking a little while sprailed out in the back seat of the Landmaster.  His eyes were still open, pupils dialated, but still unconscious, and purple mixed with green ooze slid down the sides of his lips, as his muscles spazzed out and some of his furr standing up.  He was grunting for every jolt he let loose and his muscles grew tenser and tenser, eyes also starting to faintly glow a flourescent purple.

Krystal and Kylie scanned the area with their minds trying to picckup the slightest hint that Fenris was still inside or whereever he was. "We need to get out of here."Krystal mentioned she couldn't feel Fenris ,but it wasn't like a bounty hunter to just run away from his prey she knew that personnally from her own bounty hunting days.

Akasha finished the repairs on the control center ignoring the broken pipe for now

"We're going to have to fly blind  the climate control center won't take effect till another 10 minutes thanks to that damaged pipe."Akasha noted

Kari  and Jackie woke up at the commotion unable to tell what was going on outside as the millin falcon yT-3000(I think that's the model) like maelstrom din't offer many outside windows.

"What the hell happened here!?" Fox, who had entered the Climate Control Center, with Todd and Lola backing him up, saw the busted pipe.

Todd and Lola stared in horror at it.  "He was here, wasn't he?" asked Lola.

[Kursed]

"That's Obvious."Akasha muttered as she followed Kylie and krystal into the maelstrom.

"Damn! Let's get outta here!" Todd said.  Fox set the timer on the Control Center's shields, giving Todd time to fly out of there before they came on.

Lola, Todd, and Fox got into the Malestrom, and shut the door, locked it, and Todd engaged the shields.

"Todd! Get us outta here! Now!  Para is in the Landmaster, badly hurt, but he'll recover.  I'll just beam the Landmaster aboard the Great Fox when we get there!".  The Landmaster was parked outside the outer perimeter shield.

Todd nodded, and Lola sat up front with Todd, who piloted them out of there.

Krystal kept thinking of where the bounty hunter would hide keeping close to Kari and jackie.

Todd flew as quickly as he could for the Great Fox.  He thought he heard someone breathing, somewhere in his ship.  Was someone there that shouldn't have been?  Were they hiding in one of the secret compartments of the Malestrom?  He decided it must've been a figment of his imagination.

Todd pulled into the Great Fox hangar.  "We're home!" he said.

Para slid off the seat and onto his knees, metal floors echoing as his knees struck them.  He rose to his feet, flaced a hand to the wall, with his head hunched over, and purple mixed with green blood oozed down the side of his lips, then dripped onto the floor. 

Hoarsely breathing, he glared at the wall as his eyes glowed a flourescent purple and reflected off the wall his hand was resting on.

The Landmaster and Para, were beamed aboard the Great Fox.

As the Landmaster's back door was opened, Fox and the others saw Para.

"Para!?  Oh my God, are you all right?!  I'm sorry I left you in the Landmaster, but there was a situation back at the Climate Control Center, and we had to fly back to the Great Fox, and beam you and the Landmaster aboard....Todd, Lola, get Para to the infirmary!"

Todd and Lola helped Para up, and moved him towards the infirmary.

Para threw Todd and Lola off and removed his destroyed head piece from his head.  "...I'm fine...  Just carry on..."  He grunted, then kept a hand to the wall while making his way out of the Landmaster.  "It's just...  A flesh wound..."  He mumbled and continued on down the hall, not even knowing where he was going nor where he was at.
