Saving Jackie

Para threw Todd and Lola off and removed his destroyed head piece from his head.  "...I'm fine...  Just carry on..."  He grunted, then kept a hand to the wall while making his way out of the Landmaster.  "It's just...  A flesh wound..."  He mumbled and continued on down the hall, not even knowing where he was going nor where he was at.

"If you say so..." Todd replied. 

"You don't need to throw us!  You could've bruised me, you oaf! Hmph!" Lola stormed away, her nose in the air, indignant of being thrown off.  She turned around, and said "Come, Todd!  I need you to rub my back, and feet!"

Todd sighed, and looked at Para..."Thanks, now I'm gonna be dealing with her hissy fit all night..." He grumbled, grumpily.  He walked after Lola, and they walked back to their room.

"Heh heh...don't mind them...glad you're okay." Fox had seen the whole thing.  Then he got serious "Glad you're okay, Para, but don't push yourself...you've taken quite a bit of damage.

Para settled down and closed his eyes momentarily before looking back at Fox.  "Yes, you do have a point.  I'll rejuvenant eventually, but do you have a cup I can use...?"  He requested and sat in a chair, dangling his broken head piece in his hand while his other hand slowly sealed up open wounds on it's own.

Para settled down and closed his eyes momentarily before looking back at Fox.  "Yes, you do have a point.  I'll rejuvenant eventually, but do you have a cup I can use...?"  He requested and sat in a chair, dangling his broken head piece in his hand while his other hand slowly sealed up open wounds on it's own.

Fox went to the galley, and returned with a cup for Para. 

"Here you go." Fox handed over the cup.

Meanwhile,

Tod and Lola had just finished showering together, Todd getting Lola's back.  Their snowsuits and snow boots were drying, and hung up in their bathroom, their snow boots drying on the rack.

Now, Lola, back in her leotards, and fishnet stockings (her overbust corset with shoulder straps was still hanging in the closet, her boots neatly put at the feet of the bed), and Todd, in a clean Star Fox logo tracksuit, was giving Lola a massage on their portable massage table.

Para took the cup and spat purple-ish green ooze into it; eyes going back to normal.  He went to say something but gagged up a chunk that smacked in the cup, filling it 2/3 the way full.  "Ugh...  Not the greatest tasting thing in the world...  But it has to come out sometime..."  He mumbled under his breath, but kept the cup near his chest if he needed it; the ooze in the cup pulsing a lime green color.

In utter silcene, Fenris dropped down from the Malestrom and onto the hangar deck of the Great Fox.

Things were starting to get complicated. But he weren't ready to give up just yet.

He started typing in a code on the small keypad on his armband, and meanwhile down on the planets surface. His Wolfen coughed into life and lifted off into the sky on auto-pilot. He would need a quick escape route sooner or later.

He then started heading trough the long corridor heading into the mains of the ship. He threw away small, black boxes into each crossing coridor he passed by, but made sure the main coridor he was passing trough himself was free of explosives. He would be stupid to block of his easiest route of escape.

He started to walk softer as he neared the door which lead into the main quarters. As he placed his ears onto them and listened carefully, he were sure he could hear voices on the other side, the two blue vixens and the child, the target.

He looked around and noticed some louvers in the wall to his right that marked the entrance into the air vents. He grabbed hold on them and ripped them out, being carefull to not let out to much noise. He crawled inside and started moving into the direction which he knew would lead him over to the room where his enemies where.

As he crawled slowly trough the pipes, he started thinking on how good an opportunity this really was.

The price on the childs head was good, but so were also the price for a live telepath. If he could capture them as well, his repultation as the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy would be nailed home, once and for all.

Now, he had placed himself over the room and stared down at the prey sitting together in a large sofa trough some of the louvers. The vixens on both sides of the child, and the cat was sitting in a chair opposite them.

He grabbed hold of one of the small breating masks he had hidden in his belt and placed it over his muzzle. It was small and light, and only held enough compressed air for half an hour, but that would be more than enough.

He then rummaged around in the largest of the puches in his belt until he found what he was looking for,

a capsule filled with a very strong knock-out gas. Aron was a skilled amateur chemist, and had managed to develop a gass free of both smoke and smell that could send anyone into unconsciousness in a matter of seconds.

He cracked the capsule open and directed the opening down towards his prey.

(Okay Kursed, I'll  naturally take Jackie and either Krystal or Kari with me. Leaving the other vixen and Akasha unconcious back in the room. The effects of the gas will wear of quite quickly if Julius discovers it and can start circulation and refreshing the air in the room. Leaving you able to go after me as I get into my Wolfen.)

"Ugh, it's so damn stuffy in here!  Todd, honey, be a star and turn on the ventilation, please!" Lola said, and Todd went to the wall and did just that, venting out the stale air from that room, and pulling the air through the vents, and the gas out of the girls' room.

"Todd, darling, would you please go to the kitchen and make me some cocoa?" Lola said, as she put on her corset and boots.

"Fine..." Todd went out to the corridor, and as he walked to the galley, he tripped over a small black box.  "What the hell!?"  He looked down, and picked up the box, staring at it.  *GASP!*  Todd realized this was ordinance!  And not that belonging to the Star Fox Team. 

Todd ran back to his and Lola's room "Lola!  Get your weapons, and alert the rest of the team!  I found a bomb in the corridor!"  Todd grabbed his combat knife, laser pistol, hyper laser rifle, and his EMP gun, and ran back to where he found the first bomb, where he fired his EMP gun at it, diffusing it. He checked the corridors, and diffused all the other bombs with his EMP gun.

(Don't worry Asper, you could still make an escape.)

Lola hit the alarm/panic button, setting off a loud alarm.  She got on the comm channel.  "Attention Star Fox Team! This is not a drill!  Security has been compromised!  There is a bomb on this ship!  Full alert!". Lola held her weapon ready as Todd gathered up the diffused bombs.  When he finished, he flushed them out the airlock.  He then readied his hyper laser rifle.

(Take Jackie and Krystal I'm working on something I was trying to pm you about. but I'll just surprize you.) Krystal Akasha Jackie and KAri were already out unfortunatly.

With a loud crash, Fenris dropped down trough the roof and landed in the middle of the room. They were all out, as expected. In fact, it looked like they had just fallen asleep.

Fenris rose up from his kneeling position and walked up to the sofa. The kid was priority one, but which one of the telepaths would he take? The youngest had probably yet to reach her full potential. As young she was, she could be formed into a powerfull weapon. However, she was probably the child of the other one who looked exactly like her, Krystal. And he definatively knew Fox was no telepath, their childs abilities could be potentialy watered down.

He decided to play it safe and take Krystal with him. He lifted both her and the child out of the sofa and put them down carefully on the floor. He then grabbed hold of the thick, synthetic carpet on the floor and tore of four long strips of them with his claws.He tested it by drawing it out, it would be more than strong enough to hold them when they wakened up again. He grabbed hold of Krystals arms and forced them behind her back before he tied them tighly together, making sure she would not escape. Then, he tied her ankles together as well before he repeated the process with Jackie.

He took a look at his armband. He had used more time than he had calculated, he would have to hurry. He hoisted Krystals body up on his left shoulder and took Jackie under his left arm and started to run as fast as he could to the hangar.

He almost expected to run into some of the others as he ran trough the main corridor. He had his arms full, and would be as good as defenseless agains an armed opponent.

But it seemed luck was on his side, he managed to get to the hangar without being detecdet by anyone. Tough, he suspected the ships sensors had picked him up and alerted the crew, something which was confirmed a moment later as the alarm went.

He put his captives down on the floor and typed in another command on his armband. His Wolfen which had been keeping behind the Great Fox at a safe distance now accelerated at its way to the hangar. Fenris took a look over his shoulder back at the door into the hangar, nothing yet.

It had been only a minute or so, but it feelt like an eternity before the Wolfen flew trough the shield and into the hangar before it landed onto the deck. Fenris opened one of the bomb hatches on the underside of the fighter, which he carefully stuffed Krystal into and closed. It had been customised with something like this in mind, and had it's own supply of compressed air to keep passengers alive.

He took Jackie in his arms as he leept onto the hull and opened the canopy. He put her down into the cramped room behind the seat before he jumped into it himself and strapped himself up.

This had worked better than he had hoped for! He closed the canopy and took of from the hangar and flew out into the skies of Fichinia.

He took up a small detonator from his belt and helt it ready in his left hand.

"Hasta la vista, baby." He mumbled as he pressed the button. Nothing happened. He pressed it again, harder this time. But there was still no effect.

Crap! They had disabled his bombs! Now, they would surely be on his tail. He put the detonator aside and grabbed hold of the controls again. He had to get some distance between them. Luckily, even a stock Wolfen could outrun an Arwing trough speed and brute force,  and with the engine he had built himself, they wouldn't have a chance in any fighter.

Akasha was soon awaken by KYlie. "Huh?"She asked  jumping to her feet and looking around "Did he take the bait?"KYlie asked "That and Dangit he took Krystal too!"Akasha  noted looking around. (I'mma try to leave my little surprize till the right moment.)

"No! Oh, shit!" Todd had seen Feneris' customized Wolfen speed out of the hangar.

Todd ran for the Malestrom, but Lola grabbed his arm "Todd, the Malestrom could never catch up to Feneris.  Even if he had a stock Wolfen, an Arwing couldn't even catch up to it, and the Malestrom is slower than any Arwing..."

Todd sighed, and shook his head, fuming.  "You're right..."

 

Todd leaned against the hangar wall.  "I screwed up royally...I let him in, he must've stowed away in the Malestrom.  I didn't stop him....Dad's right, I'm a failure!  A loser!"

"No, Todd!" Lola said, patting Todd comfortingly.

Fox had entered the hangar, laser pistol drawn, and came in only to see Todd and Lola.

"We all make mistakes, Todd...you didn't do so bad, hell, you diffused those bombs Feneris tried to use on us to slow us down, that was pretty damn good.  Don't give up, you did your best, you too, Lola, glad you hit the alarm.  Great job!"

"Thanks, hon..." said Lola, blowing Fox a kiss.

"But Fox, they took..." Todd was interrupted by Fox.

"Jessica, and Krystal...I know..I saw on the surveillance cameras' footage...I was too deep inside the ship to get up there and stop Feneris in time, you and Lola...well, you both did your best, and I'm proud of you both, but you shouldn't be so hard on yourself, Todd.  Now c'mon!  We gotta regroup and rescue Krystal and Jessica!"

Fox, Todd, and Lola got ready for action....

"Todd you din't fail theres nothing you could have done."Akasha assured him

"A Cerinina vereitech could outrun that  Wolfen I got a good scann of it before he left,but we only have 5."Kylie noted walking into the room. And I think we should check on Kari before we leave."Kylie noted with a smirk.

Meanwhile on bored Fenris' ship while Jackie was still out KRystal had awoken

"I hope this plan works." she muttered to hersefl as she struggled to get out of her rope bonds that kep her ankles and arms together."Dang these are  tight knots." she growled managing just barley to get her hands free and into a more comfortable position  ,but the space was too cramped to get her ankles free. she put her wrist up to her muzzle and rubbed them  since they were burning now since she had to almost literally pull the rope off her wrist like  a tight wristband luckly she  had been able to loosen the ropes around her wrist a little before she got them off. After rubbing her hands for some time she did her best to check what she had on hand  a emergency flashlight and her psionic sword was all she had on her since her pack was pretty much empty at this point besides medical supplies and extra clothes."Have to thank Lola for the Escape artist lessons later too bad she din't teach me how to get out of a refurbished torpedo tube."Krystal mutttered closing her mind and concentrating to see if she could tell where she was she could Tell Fenris and his other captive were in the cockpit but she needed more than that she was able to pickup the feint traces of the Starfox team getting more faint by the second and the aura of Fichina getting stronger.

"....Guhhh...  I'm fine.  Just a ruptured lung is all...  It will heal on it's own.  Just...  Just give it about twelve hours and it will be fully healed."  He exclaimed, raising a hand to them as he spit out a simmer of purple-ish green ooze into his cup.  "What's all going...  *cough, cough*...  Ugh, going on...?"

Para froze, dropping his cup, and the ooze splatting on the floor.  ".........No......."  He whispered, then yelled, slamming his fist into the wall.  "...I was too late-- URHHHghhHHHH..!!"  Ooze slopped onto the floor as Para remained hunched over with some dripping from his mouth, and his eyes pulsing a flourescent purple.

The Wolfen went down and swoped over the snowy ground. Fenris didn't see any pursuers on his scanners, so he decided it would be best to simply disappear.

Then, it was as his mind feelt a slight disturbanse, someone was trying to stretch out and feel him. Krystal had definatively  awakened. Fenris flickered a few switches and brought up the live feed from the bomb bays camera.

Krystal had got her hands free. He found that strange, he were sure he had tied her up pretty good. Well, it wasn't much she could do while she were locked in there. And he would be ready when for her when he opened the doors again.

He turned off the camera again and opened up the communications linkage. He started to browse trough a long list of his clients or contacts before he found the one that had put the price on Jackie's head.

He were just about to make the call to inform his client that he had the girl, when a low whimper from behind his seat caught his attention.

He looked over his shoulder and down at Jackie. The little girl had just awakened, and were fighting her bonds as she looked at him with huge, frighened eyes.

"Don't give me that look!" Fenris snarled at her. Which caused the girl to shrink down in fear.

Fenris turned around and focused his attention on the controls again. But the image of the little fox girl with the huge pleading eyes was burnt into his eyes.

"Keep your feelings away from business. Do not get attached!" He mumbled to himself as he started the decent to the manor. Then, he let out a hearty laughter and switched off the comunications linkage. "Who am I kidding? Not even I could cause that girl any harm." He tought. The telepath on the other hand, she would assure this hadn't been a waste of time.

He landed the Wolfen inside the hidden cave again, and opened the canopy.

"Aron! Would you take care of our little guest?" He shouted out as his buttler limped into the room. "Of course master Douglas. I'll put some cocoa on the oven again.

Fenris lifted Jackie out from behind the seat and put her down onto the floor. With his claws, he quickly cut of her bonds before he spoke to her. "Go with that nice old dog over there. I'll get you back to where you belong soon."

The little girl looked at him with the confusion shining clearly trough, but she soon understood he didn't mean to pounce on her as soon as she turned her back to him, and hustled after Aron into the passage which lead to the main buildings.

Now, he had to do something with his other guest. He grabbed hold of a couple of universal cuffs and snagged a small stun pike from one of the numerous weapon racks along the walls. He casually spun it around in a showcase of absolute controll as he walked up to the door to the bomb compartment on his Wolfen. A light press of another button on his armband caused the doors to open with a hiss. Moments later, Krystal dumped stomach down onto the floor with a loud bang. She groaned as she pushed herself up a bit from the floor with her free hands.

"Sorry Ma'am, but I have to take my precautions." Fenris said as he put the stun pike against her back.

A loud gasp escaped from her lips as the current raged trough her, stunned her muscles and she fell back down again.

He didn't intend to let her get free this time, and tightened the cuffs around her wrist as much as he dared without breaking some bones. She would have to dislodge all the bones from their sockets if she wanted to get free from this one. As an extra precaution, he removed the strap around her ankles and cuffed them together tighly as well.

He lifted her up from the floor and carried her up to a large droid standing ready in a corner of the cave.

He placed her into the droids arms and typed in a few more commands on his armband. The droid activated and immediatly started to march away, going down to the prison cells under the cave. Where she would stay untill he had decided on what to do with her.

Fenris sighed, another job well done. He decided he would wait till he was sure no one were following him, then he would take a long, warm bath.

stopping in the middle of the room Jackie turned around"umm sir could i  offer you something though?"Jackie asked her holgram emitted Image fading."please let my mom go too I'm sure we can pay for your trouble. The whole time it had been Kari with a hologram emitter to emit a holo gram to make her look like Jackie also would explain why she  got to him in the woflen.. "Your a good person I can feel that."Kari added  telepathically giving fenris the Images of her extremely depress Father Fox Mccloud barley keeping himself alive and also giving him the big sorrowful eyes.

Meanwhile back at the Great Fox

"Jackie how you doing?"Kylie askde

"Fine could I have another juicebox?"

"Sure dear."Kylie said.

(Sorry Kursed. But as I dropped "Jackie" out of the deal, I had to do keep one ace up my sleve for the final confrontation. I will have to refuse Kari's offer tough, even how tempting it is. There wouldn't be any fun if it ended like that.)

Fenris just entered the room as he saw the image of Jackie flicker away, leaving the younger blue vixen standing there instead. She turned around to face Fenris and spoke out her offer.

"I don't know what kind of thing you've gotten into your head girl. You let yourself be separated from your friends and be taken hostage by the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy. You are alone. What should keep me from claiming the prize on you as I intend to do with your mother?" He growled as he walked up to her, towering above the young vixen. He bent down and stared her into her eyes with his ice cold eyes. But she didn't flinch. She had a warriors spirit.

"I turn down your offer. But instead, I have a propositon of my own." He turned around and walked up to one of the tall windows opening up to the courtyard. The snow still fell thick, even if the temperature had increased as the climate controll center had been fixed.

"When my two of my ancestors, the Wolfs of Fichinia wanted to settle disputes among them, they challenged each other to contest. Contests of strenght, endurance, agility and skill with a weapon.

The winner was believed to have been blessed by the gods, and thus had to be the credible part in the dispute."

He turned away from the window, still holding his arms folded behind his back. "I challenge your team to a series of contests. If you win, you all will be allowed to leave my castle, and I will trouble you no longer. But if I win, both you and your mother will be sold to the highest bidder on the black market. Exactly the same as would happen if you don't chose to accept my challenge.

And don't for a second believe your father and his team can come swooping down from the sky to your rescue. This place is fortress. Automated laser and SAM turrets everywhere. No one gets in, no one gets out without my approval.

Now, do you accept?"

(Oh? I tought it was pretty fast since you based it somewhat on the Millenium Falcon, which was pretty darn fast.)

(I only based the Malestrom's looks on the MF   Plus, there is no "100% perfect" fighter, if I did that, I'd probably be god modding.  My ship has to have some fault )

Todd and Lola changed their clothes, wearing arctic ACUPAT camouflage snowsuits.  They also put on Night Vision Goggles.

"Lola, think it's time we get the sniper rifles?" asked Todd.  "If we do, you'll have to leave your hyper laser rifle here." said Lola.  "I'm wiling to do that." said Todd.

"What are you two doing?".  Fox startled Todd and Lola. 

"FOX!  Oh!  Lola and I are gonna make a go-for-broke rescue mission!  We'll take the Malestrom, land near the castle, and make our way through the snow to Feneris' home.  We'll rescue the girls, and bring them back here." said Todd.

"I dunno, Todd, that's a nice idea, but it needs more thought."

"Well, Feneris' castle has guard towers around the perimeter, controlled by computers attached to sniper rifles, fully automated, we can shoot those...there are substation generators powering the laser beam alarms and barrier shields, which we can disable by turning off, or EMP gun crippling them, the best way to do it...then there's entering the castle itself.  Lola and I can dispatch that old butler, take out any sentry bots, and get to the dungeon to find the girls, Krystal and Jackie." Todd explained.

"Uh, Todd...Jackie's still here, Kari tricked Feneris with a hologram of herself as Jackie." said Lola.

"WHAT!?" said Todd and  simultaneously.

"Just because your a bounty hunter doesn't mean your a bad person You can still be a kind and gentle person ,but you will have to let my mother decide."Kari replied.

[Tiberius]

Tiberius McCloud, son of Fox and Krystal McCloud was in bed on the Great Fox, just awakening. He rised out of bed, and changed into his work uniform. He went to the louange and got some food. (where is the great fox?) After eating a fine made meal, he made his way to his meditation chamber and widened his mind to the world outside of him.
