The next day I woke up early, I was thinking about a way to enter Corneria, I still couldn't think of a clever way to do it, so tho escape from it I just went down the stairs to have breakfast. As I came down Krystal woke up and we had breakfast together.

''What if we just enter??'' said Krystal, ''Nah, the automatized turrets identify us'', ''I know!'' said Krystal ''We can modify our arwings so that they are just recognized as unidentified!'', ''That seems a good idea'' I said, ''The problem is where to find an engineer, I guess Slippy is busy right now, besides I haven't known anything from them in months'', ''hmmm, there must be another one, Slippy is not the only one'' said Krystal, ''Guess You're right'' I added, ''Do you think that kid Thunderstar knows any?'' I asked, ''I dunno, let's give him a call'' said Krystal.

Five minutes after we called him, he arrived, with no engineer. ''I know my tricks'' Thunderstar said, we explained everything, ''Sorry, I can help you find one however'' said Thunderstar. After that we parted to different planets, Fichina, Fortuna, Titania, we had to look on bars and other ''ugly'' places, of course, we never separated.

After some hours of looking in titania we came across a big outpost which was more like a small town, it had a market and several scrap yards, it was probable we could find an engineer here. after the first three we began to loose hope, there were only five, on the fourth one the guy who sold parts told us the owner of the scrap yard was an engineer, ''Ya' that old dog is seldomly seen'' the Hyena said, ''I can tell you his name, but it will cost you 20 bucks!'' (of course he only looked for a way to win money), Krystal and I payed the 20 bucks, then the hyena said ''PHD Raydric A Phoenix, University of astrophysics, Fichina'', ''Hey! you said you didn't know anything!!'' I said, ''HARHAR'' the hyena laughed and slammed the door on our faces. ''Nice'' I said, ''Don't worry Fox!'' Krystal giggled ''Yeah!'' added Thunderstar.

We quickly boarded our ships and parted to Fichina, upon arrival we entered the university and began looking for Raydric, as we asked the students and teachers we found a familiar face, it was Lucy Hare, we were very surprised to find her!, we asked her if she knew anything about Falco Slippy and obviously Peppy, she told us that Peppy was of course the old hare was part of the CDF tactics department, he was fine, but about the others, she said the last thing she heard of them was that they had to assist the war under Pepper's request. after talking for some minutes she told us where Raydric usually hanged out and we stopped talking because she had class.

We approached the clock tower balcony to look for Raydric, as soon as we arrived we noticed that Raydric was an old dobberman on a wheelchair, ''Excuse me!'' said Krystal ''Are you Raydric A. Phoenix?'' the old man lifted an eyebrow and with a soft voice replied ''A pleasure to meet you in person Krystal, same with you Fox'', ''Same here Sir'' I said, ''And who might this youngster be?'' he asked, ''I'm Thunderstar'', ''It's a pleasure young Thunderstar'' Raydric said, ''What brings you here?'' he asked ''We need your help'' Krystal said, ''Yep, we need to modify our ships to fool the Automatic defence system in corneria, we want to return in order to fight Alexander'' I said, ''Sure, I know about your stupid trial'' Raydric said ''It's a shame they did this'' he added, He immediately took out a notebook from his coat and began drawing things, ''Let's go to my room'' he said.

Once we were there he took out a Data storage device and booted his computer, ''Come back in 2 hours'' he said. ''Well guys we've got 2 hours'' Krystal said, ''Let's grab something to eat'' I said, ''Yeah, I'm starving'' said Thunderstar, pointing the cafeteria.

I bought food for everyone, as we sat down I told Thunderstar ''Man can I ask you a favor?'' looking at Krystal, ''Sure Fox I know!'' Thunderstar said ''I'll check the installations''.

2 hours after that we returned to Raydric's room, he was waiting for us with the storage device on his hands, ''Here they are'' He proudly said ''I would help you personally, but I can't...'' he added, ''You've done enough'' Krystal said, ''Yes you have!'' both Thunderstar and me said, ''One last thing'' said raydric as we were going out from the room ''take this keys, they belong to my workshop on mcbeth, I hope this is useful'' Raydric said, Giving the keys to Krystal.

''Thanks Raydric!!!!'' We all thanked him as we got on our ships and prepared to launch.

''good luck StarFox!!!'' Raydric said as he said good bye.

On the way to McBeth Thunderstar returned home ''call me when you're ready'' he said.

When we arrived to Raydric's workshop, we couldn't avoid noticing everything was dusty, It seemed that the workshop hadn't been used in a long a time, but when we turned on the light switch everything began to work, although it was dusty, a middle computer screen appeared where we could control cranes, doors, and the ceiling hatches; ''Can you open the hatches while I drive in the arwings?'' I asked Krystal ''Sure!'' she happily replied.

As I drived them in a digital voice said ''Please insert the desired modifications'' Krystal connected the storage device and a hologram of the finished arwing popped out from a nearby projector ''Wow this guy is good!'' I stated ''Proced with the modifications?'' The digital voice said, Krystal clicked ok, this was not going to take much time since this was a modification, However since there were things I wanted to add (there were many guns and stuff laying around) that I would have to add manualy, after Krystal clicked ok the cranes began to pick up stuff and arrange it for some fusion cutters to fit them in. As they worked I picked up a wrench and said ''ok, time to work'', ''You look happy'' Krystal said.

After some three hours of working they were almost ready, I opened a can of soda and sat down on a rocking chair ''Having a good time eh Fox?'' Krystal said with a smile ''Sure'' I replied ''Come on Krystal, let's rest a bit'', we slept together for 20-25 minutes when Raydric's head popped out of the projector ''Starfox are you there?'' he asked, ''Fox and Krystal here!'' we both said, ''Good, By now I guess you have figured out how to use the workshop'', ''Yes'' Krystal said ''Well, glad to hear it!'' Raydric said ''Oh Fox I almost forgot'' the old doberman said ''I noticed your communicator is a bit old, feel free to take a new one, I'll have a direct link to it, oh and don't open the door on the back, Raydric out'', ''Wow cool'' I thought.

Time passed and I was getting bored, I was sitting on the floor and Krystal was staring at the arwings, I got a rush of randomness, stood up, reached Krystal's shoulder and ''TAGGED!'' I said, running away from her ''Why you!'' Krystal laughed and began running towards me, we were playing like little kids, it's funny what boredom makes you do (and the constant love for someone), After a number of tags I jumped back in order to evade Krystal (as she was trying to tag me) and accidentally crashed against the door Raydric asked us not open, I fell with my full weight on it and broke it, so the door and me fell to the floor of the forbidden room, when I got up i was amazed, ''FOX REPAIR THAT DOOR AND GET BACK HERE!'' Krystal said surprised, I took a quick look around the room ''Fox you'll get in trouble'' Krystal said ''We have opened it anyway'' I said in a childish attitude, what was there was amazing, the room was full of projects labbeled ''Powersuit-1,-2'' and so on, when I finished looking around I just fixed the door and left everything as it was, the arwings were ready by then, but they still had the traditional color on them, after talking with Krystal for some minutes we decided to paint them black with orange cockpit glass.

We left the workshop and headed to our peaceful sauria house, I had the new communicator in my arm, We returned sauria to have a peaceful night, for tomorrow we had a target, corneria. We cuddled into bed, ready for tomorrow.

We woke up very early, our arwings were ready, ''Are you ready Krystal?'' I asked ''Yes Fox'' she said ''We will meet with Thunderstar near Cornerias orbit'' I said as we got inside the cockpit, ''Ready'' Krystal said, ''Well then, Starfox, GO!'' I said, as I turned on the engine to full throttle, our arwings just left the ground at a very good speed, ''Woo this new engine is way better!'' I said, ''Just don't break it'' Krystal laughed.

As we aproached Corneria we found Thundersar, we then set our course directly to Corneria, Krystal and I were nervous as we crossed the atmosphere, when we crossed it we were on Corneria's mountains, we saw something grim to the distance, we slowly approached the city, the hydra-class turrets (an automatized defence system which is made of dual rail guns) opened fire at us, because of the surprise attack I got hit once, Raydric's head popped out of the communicator ''Hey I recieved a weird reading of the arwings system, is everything alright?'' he asked, ''It is, I recieved a hit but nothing is damaged'' I replied, ''Be careful, on closer inspection the turrets are not working for CDF anymore, In other words, they attack everyone on their range, of course Grizzle's work'' Raydric said. ''Great'' I said, ''We'll get them'' Thunderstar said, ''Sure Fox, don't worry'' Krystal said.

After destroying many of the defence network's turrets we arrived, the sight was horrible, Corneria was pratically ashes, it was completely destoyed as a result of the war, squads of CDF troopers engaging battle with Grizzle's army everywhere and stuff.

We were searching for a safe spot to land when suddenly we noticed we were being followed by some weird ships, probably Grizzle's, we U turned to face them but they just vanished in front of our eyes, just to appear behind us and fire missiles at us, we luckily evaded them, we couldn't hit them so we landed on the spot, apparently they were defence drones, so they just patroled on air, who knew how much of those were out there, ''Man, ships with an integratd cloaking device, this guy is crazy'' Thunderstar said ''That technology is expensive'' I said, ''who knows how much power this madman has...'' Krystal said as we ran to the inside of a building.

''Ok where are we?'' I asked, ''My GPS is being jammed!'', ''Aparently Grizzle controls everything here'' Krystal said, ''Yeah'' Thunderstar said, suddenly Raydric's voice came in ''My signal is better scumbags hahaha'' He said, ''Fox, I listened to your problem, I can give you location and tactical information'', ''Great!'' I said, ''Right now you are a long way from Grizzle's possible location, you'll have to walk a long way or find a way to fire the aerial defence network'', I turned to my teammates and said ''Since we know nothing about that network I guess we will have to walk!'' I turned back to Raydric's projection and said, ''Give us the walking route'', ''Right...'' He said, he then downloaded the map to my PDA.

This is going to be hard, It's probably full of guards, troops and machines at Grizzle's service, plus, the CDF may wan't to lock me up.

We took a deep breath and prepared to walk, we could take the highway, which is a very direct route, the problem was that we did not know how much dangers were on the way, we had to cross several buildings in order to get there, like the highway, we did not know how many dangers loomed inside them, we silently entered the first building, which seemed to be a hotel, there had been recent movement, as we found a fireplace, still on fire, on te center of the room, probably cornerian soldiers were just resting there, everything was in a strange silence, we climbed 2 floors when Krystal yelled ''INCOMING!'' we covered our faces and bullets began to rain, luckily they were not aiming at us, it was a small battle between CDF soldiers and Grizzle's troopers, we hadn't been discovered yet, I prepared my sniper rifle and began took cover with a flipped table, Krystal and Thunderstar jumped right into action, we quickly took out Grizzle's troops as they were outnumbered, I stayed behind the table because I didn't want to have problems with CDF troopers, ''Thanks miss!'' a CDF Trooper told Krystal ''No problem, go back to your base'' (she wanted to drive them away so that I could come out) ''And leave you two here?'' the trooper said ''No way! you are coming with us!'', Krystal, after seeing they wouldn't leave, took out her staff and got aggresive, the CDF troopers decided to leave them alone, I jumped out of the table, ''Hey Fox, did you notice something weird?'' Krystal asked, ''Yes'' I said ''A large number of CDF troops having a hard time against 4 of Grizzle's men'', ''Yeah, that's not cool!'' Thunderstar replied, Krystal suddenly said ''God, this is gross...'' she slowly walked to the body a dead Grizzle soldier, she layed on her knees and began a close inspection, Thunderstar and I were wondering what was wrong, ''What is it?'' asked thunderstar, ''Yeah, I don't see anything weird'' I added, ''It's just, nothing...'' she said with a woried look on her face, ''Send a blood sample to Raydric will you?'' Krystal added, ''Sure'' I said as I look a sample with a small piece of cotton we had on our first aid kit.

After sending the sample we continued our carefull walk through the buildings, Krystal was ok by now, as we got to the hotels rooftop, we noticed some CDF copters coming this way, we didn't know what for, we jumped to the next building and began to go down, luckily for us, there was no action in the buildings, however, from those buildings to the highway was a courtyard, when we approched the door we began hearing weapon fire, before coming out we took a quick look, this time it was a big battallion of CDF troopers against an equally big squad of Grizzle's soldiers, this time the CDF troopers were winning, the CDF copetes we saw erlier were picking up the wounded and leaving new troops, as the copters left with the wounded, a big explosion came from the middle of the courtyard, right after the explosion came one of Grizzle's soldiers, but this one was different, it was one of the feared ghosts, escorted by two regular troops, we stared as the ghost cloaked himself and in swift attacks began to wipe out the CDF batallion, we were stunned, we stepped back and took cover, hoping that it wouldn't see us, after some minutes we got up and looked down at the courtyard, just to see a wounded CDF trooper get executed by the ghost, Krystal almost cried, as the enemy squad left the ground, I quickly ran to her and tried to confort her, while Thunderstar covered the entrance, ''Krystal, baby what's the matter, you are not normally affected by this kind of things'' I said, ''It..It's just...'' Krystal said ''Krystal, please tell me, it's obvious you have something, and I don't like to see you like this...'', Krystal remained in silence for a few seconds, then she shakily said ''Fox, this soldiers, they... they are not normal, something is, dark, they have something really dark arounf them, my telepathy tells me that, when I try to read their minds is as if I was hit in the head with a stick, specially that ghost...'', ''It's getting late Fox'' Thunderstar interrupted, ''Krystal, It's alright... come on, let's go'' I said as I kissed her on her front, she got up, still shaky, we began to run towards the highway when Raydric Interrupted, ''Hey Fox and co., I have a present for you!'' he said, sending someting that would help us cross the highway!

I wanted to post next part today, but I had homework , I'll post it tomorrow  :D

He transfered 3 smoothly-desgned Arwing themed bikes ''I call them Arbikes'' Raydric proudly said ''They have plasma blasters in case you need them'' He added, ''Nice hunting'' he said before he interrupted the communications, we hopped on to te Arbikes and I said ''Great, let's se what this things can do!'' I said, ''Why Is Raydric helping us so much, I don't understand'' Krystal muttered, ''Just GO!'' Thunderstar happily said, as we all prepared the engines. The Arbikes worked perfectly, in no time we were on the highway, although my PDA showed we were a long way from our objective, but we couldn't avoid noticing something weird, the highway was strangely empty, it was almost scary, as the rest of the city was full of patrols and scouts.

After 23 minutes of calm riding something happened, it was getting late, there was almost no light, when suddenly a big light was around our bikes, as if something was following us from the air, Krystal eventually yelled what we feared, ''Careful! up ahead!!'' she yelled, Grizzle's soldiers came from the sides with what seemed to be troop carriers, we opened fire against them, luckily the ammo the Arbikes had were of a high piercing damage (again it seemed Raydric knew what happened) which quickly took out the ones jumping at us, however, the carriers were covered in thick steel plating, making it impossible for us to destroy them, they did not retreat however, it seemed as if they were waiting to do something, we were just evading them, then we saw at the distance some of those defence drones preparing to open fire at us, probably when we got near enough, I had to think fast, or we would be dead, I suddenly got a plan, Thunderstar and Krystal were too busy evading the carriers, I slowed down a little bit, transfered my PDA's data and signal to Krystal's and began to accelerate to what the Arbike called maximum speed, the carriers began chasing after me, just what I wanted, ''FOX!'' Krystal yelled ''I'll be fine!!'' I replied as I got near the barricade of defence drones, they prepared to open fire at me, I lowered my head in order to gain more speed, and when I was near them I activated 1 of the 2 granades I was holding in my belt, I released the belt and jumped From the Arbike, kicking it to them in order to jump more, and just let the explosion do the work, as I fell to the rooftop of a nearby building I saw the explosion taking all of them out, clearing the way for them to go, then everything went black...

I woke up the next morning on the same rooftop I landed, my left leg was injured, I got up with difficulty, and slowly began to walk down the stairs of the building, I reached my holder just to notice that my blaster was gone, and my sniper was out of bullets, this didn't look good, as I got down the stairs after some time (because of my leg), everything was silent again, I sat down and looked inside my backpack, lucky me the food was just a little bit smashed up, but it was there, while I was eating I looked at my right arm, my PDA was smashed as well from a shard of metal flying to it, all I could do was wonder if Krystal and Thunderstar were ok....

I carefuly walked out of the building, it was cold, I ripped the vest of some chairs to make a coat, and began to follow the highway from the street below, I just couldn't believe how badly damaged Corneria was, but suddenly, I recognized a building, It was the restaurant I usually took Krystal, and where I usually had breakfast with Peppy, Slippy and Falco, I knew how to get to the targeted location from here!

I entered the wrecked building and sat down to take a quick rest, it wasn't easy walking great distances with an injured leg, at this moment I just wanted to see a familiar face, even Wolf, or someone like that... I stopped following the highway and took a route I knew from there, I finished my rest and began to walk to the house which was once ours (if it still exsisted), I couldn't remember the last time I was in a situation like this...

The next day, I was getting close to the house, I was on the corner when I found a recent battle site, I had to look around for bullets, I found some luckily; I slowly walked towards the house, when suddenly things got ugly, Suddenly a hissing low-pitched voice came from my back... It was a ghost.

''Freeze'' He said, I took my sniper from my back and fired, I only knocked his helmet off and made him back off, he cloaked himself and decloaked on my back, following him appeared 2 other ghosts ''Throw your weapon to the ground'' they said, I couldn't do anything now, I put my sniper down, they picked me up and locked me in a carrier, I asked one of them how did they know my location, one of them answered ''The 2 carriers and the defence drones you destroyed, I was in a carrier, I've been following you'', ''Then why didn't you kill me!'' I said ''We've got orders, we know who you are McCloud'' one of them replied, I was shocked. One of them striked a point in my neck, I just fell asleep on the carrier.

When I opened my eyes, I was in a state between asleep and awake and I was being moved to a prisioner cell, at first we I thought it was prison, but then I noticed it was a weird facility, it had many prision cells, but, they looked neat, there were no windows, and the climate was fresh. when they arrived to my cell they just put me down in bed, I noticed they had fixed my leg it had some bandages. When they left the room the cell door automaticaly closed. I still couldn't believe what was happening.

When pulled myself out of whatever they had done to me I got up from the bed, a voice said ''Hey'' I turned around and I saw a green Fox ''I'm Greneck Mist, cellmate'' I answered ''Where are we'', ''Don't really know where, I just know we are underground, and we are in a testing lab, don't really know much, but hey, I've been planning ways to get out'' Greneck said, ''Underground???'' I asked, ''Yeah, I think it's Grizzle's most secret facility'', ''Krystal...'' I muttered, ''Who?'' Greneck said, ''Oh nobody'' I replied, ''Anyway, you haven't told me your name yet'' He said ''Oh right, sorry, Fox McCloud'' I replied, ''So why are you here?'' he asked, I remained in silence, ''I'm here because I fought them, I was outnumbered, but, instead of killing me they brough me here, they knew who I was''

Greneck said, ''Oh that happened to me as well...'' I replied, ''Come on, I'll show you this fancy prison mixed with a research facility'' he said, I was beggining to plan a way to escape, from the moment I got in, I had a feeling that Greneck would be of great help!

''Don't worry Krystal'' Thunderstar was constantly telling me, I just couldn't believe what he did, I looked down to my PDA and called Raydric ''Raydric, we've got a problem'' I said, ''Krystal, is that you?'' Raydric replied, ''Yes, Fox is lost'' (I told him the whole story), ''Well, I guess his communicator got busted, I can't tell you anything, you'll have to look for him'', ''Thanks Raydric'' I said in disappointment, ''Relax Krystal, I'm sure he's fine, he's fox after all'' Thunderstar said, ''Thanks Thunderstar, after all, he opened the road for us... let's go, we'll search for him'' I said as I cooked something, ''Sure, I got your tail'' said Thunderstar as we prepared to sleep.
