Considering she's a new pilot in  assault I have to say she was holding back because she could not completely balance flying and her powers.

How do you mean? She was a pretty good pilot, she didn't say "Whoa, help me!" 20 times every level.

She could still be holding back on her powers so she wasn't like slippy and was able to fly think about it she's never flown a  Arwing before. because she had to concentrate on flying  instead of just her powers perhaps she couldn't use her full potential since she just learned how to fly.

When you first learn how to drive can you also talk on a cellphone?

Lol, you mean you think she wasn't at her FULL potential, not holding back. Someone not at their full potential is someone who is pretty good at whatever they're doing, but have the ability to get even better in the future with practice.  Someone who's holding back already HAS the ability but they choose not to show it.

Now if you're talking about my first definition, then yes I think she wasn't. She picked up on flying in about a year so she's got the potential.

If it's the latter then no, I don't think so.

Hmm, So what powers are you talking about? I mean she uses mind reading junk while flying, there's one power.

I recall somewhere it saying that Krystal was an ace pilot, like fox, like as in from the start, so that shouldn't cause any problems, I mean sure it's a new ship design, but assault was some time after adventures, so she would be used to the layout of the arwing, rather then the ship she flew in adventures, really, i just don't think theres much powers she could use while in an arwing.

Telepath, can be very useful, she just doesn't use it much

The fact she didn't know Peppy survived the "Dr. Strangelove" style attack on the Aparoid shield thingie, and Fox did, even though Fox isn't a telepath, and she didn't even know that Fox knew all along that Peppy was okay, shows she had to do more concentration on her flying (which is understandable)...

*EDIT*

Also, she didn't know who was at the Katina base (Pigma), nor what plans they had (hide from the Aparoids, set of the SOS signal, and then leave, but first find a way to mess with Fox.

Nah, she's probably just a rubbish pilot! :P To me it seemed like she was the one who most needed me to come to her rescue.

It really pissed me off on Assault, on Corneria, taking out those radar jammers, I'm almost out of ammo in the sniper rifle, and all of a sudden Krystal needs help

Ya, it's worthwhile saving Krystal on Katina (;)) but when I have a combo going, after saving her, all of a sudden "Whoa, help me!"

O_O

Or that I'm licking around my mouth because I've just eaten something good! :P

I do think she was the one that required the most help during Assault tough.

Slippy has been a pilot for as long as Fox has, and he seems to only get worse and worse...

Yeah, except ya don't hear anyone on Star Fox say "Beam me up, Slippy!" when he or she is in a jam.
