Sabre
With the exception of the excelent Franklin, Buzz Lightyear and Hilltop Hospital cartoons (both of which are finished), cartoons have been somewhat crap this decade. 80s cartoons survive purly on nostalgia, but again there are exceptions, thundercats is quite good and Actionforce/GI joe has changed from cool to wacky with age."Build a fake city from the future populated by robot clones to trick a sailor!"So, let's talk 90s. (and early 2000s)I have been slowly working my way through the backlog of 90s cartoons I've missed or wanted to see again. Unfortunatly, without the nostalgia factor, trying to find these cartoons is difficult and/or expencive. Even so, I have a disc with all the episodes of Reboot on, I'm currently downloading Rockos Modern Life (Which I never saw back in the day) and have been watching the 90s classic Gargoyles.Only the first 2 series are canon, 3 were made. I'm half way through series 2 and I have to say it holds up really well. The stories are dark and serious, the action is good and the animation is good, but still has a few of the issues of old cell animation. Some of the villains are a bit naff but it's good none the less. I say, worth checking out.

Asper Sarnoff
There is one 90's cartoon in particular which lies close to my heart. Namely the Swat Kats. Seeing episodes of them bring back a lot of memories from when I was kid and was completely glued in front of the tv to watch them.Sadly, it didn't last for long. Numerous complaints about it being to violent and encouraging kids to cause harm to each other caused Hanna-Barbera to cancel it.

Sabre
As a general rule, if the shows not out on DVD, then you can usually find torrents of old VHS versions. That's what I did with Rocko, Reboot and the like. E-mailing a 10gb series I think isn't going to work. I don't know if torrents are allowed to be posted here. There is one 90's cartoon in particular which lies close to my heart. Namely the Swat Kats. Roughnecks got cancelled, but I think that was a budget thing. I forgot about X-Men. I remember that got really wacky eventually. There was a new series, it was ok, but nothing special. I'll have to find the original series to see how they compare. As for the swat cats, the only thing I remember was alot of villains using planes and the way the main characters have zombie eyes.I do remember Sonic (sat AM) being good. Underground tried to recapture it but missed it completly. What I don't get is that it ended on a cliff hanger, why didn't underground not continue from there? I don't know. The Nostalgia Critic has an excelent video review of it here.http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic/4762-adventures-of-sonic-the-hedgehogHe also did a gargoyles one which I havn't watched yet as I want to see all the eps again first. I was also thinking of getting the comic, but will have to find it first.
