Vy'drach Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 yeah, too bad the us army brass rejected it for a few reasons i can tell you if you want.Oh I know a good majority of reasons, both official and unofficial. Officially it was because the battery that was used in prototype stage was cheap, and drained very quickly. H&K got a different battery, and problem was solved, but the gun was slightly heavier with that one, so it was dismissed for being heavier than it was supposed to, despite still being lighter than the M4A1, and they also didn't want to reissue and retrain soldiers for it. Officially. As for unofficial, I'd rather not get in it as it gets into politics and such, which I try to avoid getting into here, as it's gotten me in trouble on other sites.
