Yes! That's a perfect idea, StarfoxIII!

He just might be our man for storyboarding, Tiberius .

Maybe you could storyboard for the animation department.

Then the basic idea is to re-make Starfox in a movie!

I think I can do that

How 'bout this idea for the trailer:

- You see the Star Fox team walking down a metallic corridor, facing them at a diagonal angle. You can't see their faces.

- It then cuts to a black screen saying something like "Coming late 2010".

- It then cuts to 4 Arwings speeding toward the screen.

- It then cuts to a black screen saying something like "The galaxy is in peril".

- It cuts to Corneria City burning.

- Black screen: "And only 4 can save it".

- It cuts back to the first scene with the Star Fox team walking down the corridor. The camera pans up so you can see their faces.

- Black screen, showing the Star Fox logo.

Thoughts?

-afterwards scenes of dogfights and action! just like a normal trailer

Maybe we could place the dogfighting scene between the "And only 4 can save it" and the Star Fox team running down the corridor.

hmmm I think an arwing taking off would be better for that part

Okay then. Than the dogfight will have to be used in another trailer for a future film in the saga.

Some advice:

Are you guys shooting for a teaser trailer, or a full-fledged trailer?

If it's just a teaser, do something to excite people about the fact that you have something coming, but keep it very short.

If it's a full trailer, you will want to do something to get people hooked into your story. If you don't have a story yet, just do a teaser and then hammer out at least a plot outline before making a full trailer.

Just make sure you're really ready for a trailer. If you don't have anything to show yet, then don't put one together. You'll likely kill interest before you even have it. Don't feel that you need a trailer now to keep your project alive. In the early stages, it is all about keeping your team motivated and having a plan. Once you have something to show, then make a trailer.

Also, don't rip something off unless you are making it an obvious parody or people won't take your project seriously.

What I mean by all of that is don't advertise something you don't yet have. The goal of a trailer is to advertise your project, so it needs to be relevant. If you don't even know what your project is doing yet, then you need to step back and figure that out first, else you're wasting time.

Also, what kills projects like this isn't lack of fan interest during development, it is lack of team commitment. So, you need to use the time your team is together as efficiently as possible.
