Arriving at the space station, Silver docked his ship, climbed out and grabbed his blaster and holster from the rear seat. He left his helmet and put the holster on over his flight suit, but somewhat concealed under his survival vest. He hopped off the craft and onto the causeway heading for the station.

Silver bought and arranged for the mounting of two more predator missiles for his fighter, then asked the salesman:

"Hey, you wouldn't know anything about a bounty on an ambassador, would you? I'm looking for a contact."

Silver fingered his blaster in it's holster, should the shopkeeper turn on him.

"A bounty on an ambassador, you say?" the shopkeeper replied, grinning. "Yes, I happen to know just the man. Head for the main accommodation area, I'm sure you'll find him there."

"All right. Thanks." Silver replied, weary of the ruffian's expression. He turned and padded off towards the hub of the space station.

The shopkeeper watched Silver walk off, then went back into his shop, picking up a phone.

"Tell Master O'Donnell that his guest has arrived."

:wolf:

Wolfs office was pitch dark. The only thing Silver would be able to see as he came in from the bright corridor outside, was the vague outline of the crimelord sitting behind his desk. As soon as the feline had entered, the doors automatically closed, and locked themself behind him. He still seemed little startled by the fact that he was now locked inside with perhaps the most dangerous man in Lylat.

"Silver Phoenix. I have been waiting for you." It came from the other end of the room. Wolf had purposefully turned the light off, as to protect some of his identity untill he knew what was standing in front of him really was Silver Phoenix, but also to make unnerve the cat. Wolf knew of many so-called pilots that were fenomenal in a simulator and thus on paper, but started to break down as soon as they were in unfamiliar conditions.

"Come closer." He said, which to Silver responded and walked up to the front of the desk.

"You think I have plans to hire you for a bounty, but to be honest, that was really only the bait to get you here. You see, I have another proposition for you, an offer you can't refuse."

"Yeah, I could eat..." Attila said.

"Sure, why not!?  I'm so hungry, I could eat a giraffe." said Cliff.

"That's 'horse', you dummy!  'I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse!'..."

Attila corrected Cliff.

The trio that now was the new Starwolf entered the mess hall of Sargasso space station. A large rectangular room with the cantina placed in the middle of the room, the kitchen right below it on the underlying floor.

It was mostly empty now. First of, these weren't particulary good times for mercenaries, someone not carefull could run the risk of being forced to enlist into an army for a lousy pay if they came to the wrong planet, thus many had left the business and settled down on other planets.

Freya walked up to the cantina and ordered an omelet with salad and bacon. And after her two mates had picked their orders, they were immediatly handed their orders. They made their way to a table in the corner, far away from any of the other groups.

"I'm thinking that we should all go for a flight together after we have eaten. One thing is to be good by yourself, but we will fight and fly as a team. We'll need to be prepared when our first job pops up.

My father also said we might get our fourth teammate today." Freya said between her shoveling food into her mouth.

"Wait one last thign I have a option i can add to any of those rifles."the shop keeper said "there's a standard telepathic link chipset that will  train you with the weapon instantly."he offered."Basicly it uses your telepathy to make it feel like you've used the thing for years."he added

"Oh that reminds me here take this Ti."Kari said handing Ti a Card "It's your allowance Card  mom tries to set a little aside for us from what she gets."KAri explained handing Alex's card to her "They only work On Cerinia though."

Odin followed along on the shoppin trip in silence, only speaking up from time to time when the shop keeper couldn't remember the technical data on some of his gear. There sure was a lot of high tech gear they had here, many of them he knew should still have been on the drawing board, and not be ready for public release in a couple of years.

But even if he could practially take apart, service and put together just about any gun in blindness, Odin wasn't interested in buying some of it. He knew very well that his father had an even larger collection of weapons stashed away on Fichinia, including some hefty prototypes he had gotten hold of in the black market, and neither was Odin particulary interested in ranged combat. Hand to hand and dogfighting, that was his forté, and one of the best there was in these fields, at least if one took his age into consideration.

He figured that he should at least stack up some ammo for his gun while he had the chance. He had been running a bit low, as he had driven out of town and into the wilderness on Corneria and practiced for hours on several ocasions, but they didn't sell weapons or ammo to civilan there, at least not legally.

He headed for the ammunition counter and started searching trough them to find the right caliber. Most people stuck to blasters now, but he had always preferred the punch and feel of a projectile weapon.

After a couple of minutes, he had picked up a small crate filled with 0.44 bullets and took it with him to Tiberius and Kari.

Ti took the card and put it in his pocket. "I know how to use one of these guns. I used one of these in training. I know it like the back of my hand."

"actully I'm Fox's girl so your both wrong." "would you like to say something to them Fox?

"Aww what's a matter  Big old Fox afraid of a little patrol?" asked one of the pilots.

"See?"Krystal asked stokeing Fox's head.

(I love that "The Godfather" quote from Wolf! xD )

Cliff ordered a Belgian Waffle, bacon, steak, and eggs.

Attila ordered bacon, eggs, toast, and hash browns.

As the boys ate, they listened to Freya.

When she mentioned the new pilot, Attila asked "Who might that be?"

"I'm ready for the job.  We could use some action.  It's been 'quiet as a rat' around here." said Cliff, letting out a disgusting burp.

"I would rather have fought them myself hand to hand. I could've done it." he said. He sat back and relaxed.

"you'd break their bones with one punch Fox those Patrol pilots are weaklings their ships aren't even built for combat their just built to run away  the weapons are almost just scare tatic's"Krystal replied "And those weren't even the armored versions."

(I'm making Wolf quite a lot darker, troubled and more evil in this RP. Think of him as mix of the godfather from the films by the same name, and Captain Nemo from Jules Vernes stories.)

Freyas lips actually flickered in a small smile over Cliffs manners. He was truly discusting, but somehow, in a nice and naive way. "I don't know who our next pilot might be. Dad told me one candidate I should pay a visit when I was on Corneira, was some guy named Odin Douglas. But when I got to his address, he was gone." She said. "I don't know if dad somehow have found him, or just come with another suiable candidate. Let's just hope he, or she, is good."

(hm... I do believe there might be a trade off in the middle. Oh well. Its not my juristiction.)

Tiberius and the others were back at the palace setting up for departure. He was also ready to stay a night if he had to.

Odin followed the landing ship with watchfull eyes. Cerenia was a beautifull place, but he was eager to get back to Fichinia and see his parents again. As soon as they were back at the Great Fox again, he would have to give his father a call and tell him to prepare for their arrival. He didn't know if the rest of the team intended to stay there for a while, and if they in that case had a base themself. But he figured he could just as well be prepared for anything lady luck decided to throw at him.

(*in Wolf's office*)

Silver was somewhat intimidated by the dark figure, but he tried not to show it. That voice sounded familiar.

"No bounty, huh? Well, what's the real offer? I need some cash, and I've got better places to be," Silver bluffed. He really needed some work, and the thought of a job other then "shoot down important person X's transport" intrigued him. His left tail started to sway as it always did when Silver was interested in something.

:wolf:

Only the swirl of Wolf's mechanic eye could be heard as it changed filters to heat seeking. Silver now showed himself in all the rainbows colors in front of Wolf. The cold colors at the felines temple told Wolf that he with almost 100 % certanity were not lying about who he were, even if he was bluffing a little when he said he weren't interested. He were also more nervous than he tried to give impression of.

"I prefer getting straight to business." Wolf said hoarsely as he roose up and walked around the table. "Starwolf, as a mercenary team, will soon rise again to power in the Lylat system." Wolf was now slowly circling Silver, just like a big shark circled its prey. "But, we are one pilot short of the core of four aces I had envisioned." He stopped circling and now stood in front of Silver again with his arms crossed behind his back. "And that, is where you come in. You have quite the impressive record, at least for someone so young. What I now give you, is an opportunity to join the flying squadron of the most powerfull private organisation in Lylat."

Silver finally realized what he was getting in to. He stood fast as Wolf paced around him. He didn't like being called "young", even if Wolf was a few years older. However, he knew how good a pilot Wolf was, and perhaps being part of a team could open up some new... business opportunities.

"I'll join your squad, but I have a few conditions." Silver replied. His eyes had finally adjusted to the dark, and he could make out Wolf's face enough to make eye contact.

(Only a few years younger? I tought he were in his twenties. Skip that part then.)

:wolf:

Conditions? He had the nerve to bargain locked inside a space station filled with soldiers who would hunt him down at Wolf's request? He had guts. And if it was something Wolf appreciated in a man, it was just that.

"What are your conditions?" He asked.

(Well, he is a few years older then Fox, but still younger then Wolf. How old would that make him here?)

"First," Silver stated, carefully watching Wolf's expression, "I fly tail-end. I don't want your other pilots spending any time behind my ship with a clear shot. I know who's been on your team in the past."

Wolf didn't seem to take offense, his steely gray face remaining expressionless.

"Next, I get to keep my own fighter (http://forums.starfox-online.net/index.php?topic=5657.msg160550#new). Those Wolfens are too slow." he said with a smile.

Wolf's stone expression remained.

"Finally, I want to see the other "aces" you've got. I don't usually fly with a team, and I don't want to be held back by a group of idiots."
