"Freya! Cliff! What's taking so long?"

Silver was actually in no real rush. He and Atilla were working well as a team. When Atilla got tailed by a fighter, Silver would dive in and force it to break off the attack. Then, a few fighters would show up on Silver's tail, and he would boost past Atilla to give him a shot at them, before climbing back up and out of harm's way. Atilla had at least half a dozen kills so far from this tactic.

Cliff got on his comm "Hey!  Silver!  You think you could do me a favor, and dock in the hangar for a second?  I need you to take my Aunt Krystal back with us.  Don't get me wrong, I got room for her in my ship, but  I don't wanna risk her gettin' hurt or killed..." he said, as he ran down the corridor, holding the squirming sack, containing Krystal.  He was as careful as could be not to drop or bump Krystal, as he neared the hangar.

"We're almost done." Freya reported back. "I've just set of the emergency foam and what the hell?" Cliff had run past a still intact security camera on his way by, carry the very conscious, very alive Krystal.

Oh, so following orders is cramping your style, is it? She didn't have time to argue, however. The two soldiers had been knocked down by the sudden rush of foam, but on was at least vertical again, and he was blindly firing, filling the open doorspace with bullets. She fell against the wall, right next to the wall, trying to decide her next course of action. She decided to wait, since he'd run out of bullets eventually. With the rate he was firing at, it wouldn't have taken very long, but to Freya it seemed like an eternity. Finally, the spray stopped, and she heard the man try to reload. That was her chance. She decided it would be more insulting to just duck by him and keep going than assauting him at all. The hanger was a massive structure that touched every floor on the ship, so she waited until she got there to head back up to her ship. She had to take the stairs, since the lifts had been shut down during the 'emergency'. She reached her ship at about the same time Cliff did his, and was about to yell at him, when two strike teams entered the hanger. They had obviously yet to have been deployed when the foam went off, and their helmets protected them.

"Silver, we're we going to leave this thing hanging in space, or do we want to take her down. Consider now we've got Ms. Krystal, here."

(Sorry for the late reply.  I wish I had my own home and my own computer.)

"Aw, crap!" Cliff ran into his fighter, carrying the sack that contained Krystal, into his ship.  He placed Krystal, still in the sack, into one of the seats in his fighter, strapped her into the seat, closed his ship's doors, and prepped for takeoff.  "Let's get the hell outta here!" he said.

Suddenly, he remembered something.

"Silver, we gotta bail NOW, if you wanna take Krystal, dock and take her, I'll cover Attila!" said Cliff, as he ran back, unstrapped Krystal, and placed her on the loading dock, still in the sack.

"Sorry Aunt Krystal, about the sack and everything...look, could you ride with Silver, I won't leave you until Sliver arrives, he'll give you a ride outta here." he said to her.  He hugged her, and then got back into his fighter, prepping the engine.

(Sorry Showtime1-1, I know I said Krystal could ride with you, but I guess the RP took a different turn...I could edit this post though, If you want...)

"well... wait, Krystal? as in... Oh $h!t..."

Silver looked at the damaged cruiser. It would only take one more Predator to down it, and Cliff and Freya could be out in seconds.

On the other hand, Krystal was a member of Starfox, and Silver didn't like the thought of killing an old friend...

"Geh... Hold tight. I'll be there in a second."

He broke off the fight and boosted towards the particle shield covering the Cruiser's hangar.

"Atilla, cover me. I won't be long. Once I'm clear, get the heck out of here, 'cause I'm gonna blow the cruiser."

The StarCat closed the distance to the cruiser quickly. Silver brought the throttles back at the last second and switched the wing control to "forward", simultaneously activating the G-diffusers. The landing gear dropped down as the big ship swooped in to the hangar and landed with a thud between the Huntress and Cliff's fighter.

Dead center in the StarCat's HUD were the two strike teams. Silver grinned as he fingered the cannon trigger.

this is too easy...

The shot scattered the group around the hangar, giving Starwolf enough time to regroup.

Silver pushed the canopy open and yelled down to his teammates.

"All right, let's mount up!"

He looked at Cliff, then Freya, then back to Cliff.

"Uhh... where's my, er, passenger?"

"She's over on the loading dock, in that sack." Cliff said.  "Take care of her!" he added, as he took off to cover Attila.

(Thanks Julius!)

"...In the sack? Really?"

Silver jumped out of the cockpit. The fall was farther then he remembered, but he still managed to sprint over to where Krystal was. He pulled out his survival knife and slit the bag.

"Okay Krystal, if you want off of this ship before it becomes space junk, come with me." he yelled over his shoulder, already running back towards the StarCat. Some of the strike team members had started firing again.

Cliff flew out of the hangar.

"Thanks, Silver!" Cliff said over the comm, as he picked off the escort fighters on Attila's tail.

"Thanks, Cliff!" Attila told him. "Sure." said Cliff in response.

The two of them fought off the CDF fighters, but knew they had to get out of there before reinforcements arrived.

Silver scaled the steps and dropped back into the cockpit. He pulled the canopy down and plugged his comm and oxygen supplies back in, along with the seat harness.

"Buckle up and hold on, this could get bumpy."

He pushed the right throttle forward and the big ship pivoted on a wheel. As soon as it was pointed back towards the opening of the hangar, he shoved the other throttle wide open as well. The ship responded with a kick, bounded over the hangar floor and blasted back through the faltering particle shield.

As soon as the ship was in the clear, Silver reached over to the arming panel and switched from cannon back to missiles.

"I hope you don't have any friends on that ship..." he muttered to Krystal.

"None Silver mind If I take the weapons?"Krystal smiled.

"the weapons?" Silver echoed. "No way! My ship, my firepower!"

Just as he finished saying that, there was a loud thump and the StarCat shook violently.

"F**K! We've been hit!"

Silver hauled the ship around on a dime, thanks to the still-active G-diffusers, then boosted rapidly to safety.

"What's the damage?" Krystal asked. Her clam tone reminded Silver why she was on the Starfox team at all. He checked over the gauges, and everything was still in the green. Upon checking the armament panel, he found a problem.

"Looks like the shot hit the forward missile racks. The two Predators I was going to finish the ship off with are out of commission."

A quick status check revealed a solution.

"Okay Krystal, looks like I need your help." he said. "The only thing I have left that can finish that ship off is a guided missile, but you'll have to control it from back there."

"Once I fire it, the screen in front of you will show what the missile is pointing at from a camera in the nose." Silver grunted as he rolled the ship to dodge a volley of fire from an escort fighter. "Use the joystick and the rudder pedals back there to fly it into the..." He fired a few rounds of cannon into another enemy fighter. "...Main fuel cell area, between the engines. Got it?"

"Shouldn't be to hard."Krystal replied. "Fire when ready Captain." She joked.

Silver sighed. Actually, I only made it to Second Lieutenant...

"Freya! Get the heck out of there! Attila, Cliff, cover me. I'm... er, we're going to finish this sucker off."

He switched the G-diffusers off to avoid any sudden turns while the missile was being launched. The artificial gravity in the cockpit disappeared immediately. He then switched to the centerline weapon, armed the big missile and pointed the StarCat towards the cruiser.

"Ready, Krystal?"

the Huntress shot out of the hangar. As soon as Silver saw that Freya was clear of the ship, He fired.

"Fox Two."

The missile leaped off it's rail much more eagerly then the Predator missiles did. Silver turned the StarCat away smoothly, to allow Krystal to guide the missile the best she could. It was up to her now, even though Silver didn't like the fact that the final shot would be fired by a Starfox team member.

Krystal guided the missel right into the ships weak spot starting a chain reaction within the ships fusion reactor.

"Good. Nice shot." Silver said to Krystal. He switched over to the inter-team channel.

"Freya, reinforcements should be here any time. I suggest we high-tail it out of here."

He switched back to onboard communications.

"Krystal, where is the rest of your team, what were you doing on that ship and why were you so eager to destroy it?"

"It's cargo was a Aparoid."Krystal replied simply "I have no idea Silver i was just coming from Cerinia to meet Fox when i got captured by them  thankfully I self-destructed my fighter so they couldn't use any of it's technology."

"Ah..." Silver muttered. way to go, Fox...

"well, that still doesn't explain why he wasn't here to save your tail again. The way I see it, you're gonna owe me."

Silver thought about telling Krystal about Starwolf's assignment, to destroy Starfox. He knew his specific thoughts were safe from Krystal's powers, that was one of the advantages of being a full-blood twin-tail.
