Star Fox: The Next Generation Chapter 1

[Kursed]

Krystal gave no resitance and followed the guards to the  cell she sat down cross legged adn  meditatedOnly four guards...Wolf must have something in mind he knows how good of a fighter I am even without my staf.. she thought  as she closed her eyes ignoring the humm of the forcefield.

[Tiberius]

Fox and Tiberius landed on the planets and looked around. The coordinates they were sent was in the middle of a dry desert. "Looks like no one's here." said Tiberius.

As he turned away to get some tools, he heard a creaking sound from his ship. Looking back, he saw the nose landing gear slouch, then the nose of the StarCat clunked down to the floor loudly as the wheel strut gave over to gravity.

Silver then yelled a very loud obscenity, the magnitude of which is rarely matched.

"Oooohhh, damn!  Tough break....but I'll help you if you need it." said Attila.

"I'll help too!" said Cliff.  "Thanks, Cliff, but if we need a guy with his head caught in a wastebasket, we'll give you a call!" said Attila.  "HEY! Shut up, butthead!" Cliff shouted.  He grabbed a wastebasket, and jammed it onto Attila's head.  Attila struggled to pull the wastebasket off of him, as Cliff poked him in the back with a wrench, while laughing like a moron.  Every time he poked Attila, Attila would swing his fist, trying to hit Cliff, but he always missed.  Finally, he took the wastebasket off his head, and chased Cliff around the hangar.

The two wrestled and fought, until the Ruffians broke it up.  Cliff and Attila then walked up to Silver.  "So...how about it?" asked Attila.

[Showtime 1-1]

By then Silver had the nose jacked back up and was working on pulling down the nose gear.

"No thanks, guys." he replied, half growling. "I've handled this before, I can do it now. You'd best meet up with Freya for a bit of a debrief."

(I'll let the SW side cool down a bit so SF can get something going. Hopefully.)

Attila and Freya went up to Cliff's room, and started kicking around a ball of electrical tape they had found in the mechanic's section of the bay, earlier.

They giggled like morons, having fun while doing this.

"Hey, Attila, I got an idea!" said Cliff.

"Yeah?"  Attila asked.

"Remember Hurkha the Toad's Palace?" said Cliff.

"What 'bout it!" asked Attila.  "Well, I say we gain the trust of, then betray Hurkha, and kill his fat ass, and steal his palace, take over his operation, and take his slave girls, eh?" Cliff said, chuckling deviously.

"You know, that might not be a bad idea...I'm sure Leon and Silver would definitely agree.  Nice job, Cliff!" Attila said, smiling as he patted Cliff on the back.

[Asper Sarnoff]

Freya sat down on Cliffs bed, only to be reminded of her injury as the scab over the wound cracked up again. "I'll have to take a trip to the medical bay. We'll wait with the debriefing til later guys." She said as she stood up again and started to limp out of the room.

In the meantime, in the inner parts of Sargasso space station, Wolf approached the door leading into Krystals cell. The two guards on the outside saluted him before they each took out their keychain, placed them in two keyholes on each side of the door, and twisted them at the same time. The armoured door slowly creaked open, revealing Krystal sitting on the floor with the two guards on both sides. Ignoring him with her eyes closed.

"Activate the containment field and leave us" Wolf growled to the guards, which immediatly left the room. As the containment field was activated, the cuffs the guards had placed around Krystals wrists and ankles graduatly forced her into and upright position, lifted her from the floor and held her suspended midair. Krystal had opened her eyes now and looked expresionless at Wolf.

"I don't know what you hoped you would achieve by letting yourself be captured Krystal." Wolf said as he started to pace slowly around the immobilized vixen. "Things have changed since that time I took you under my wings when Fox forced you away. Mercy and peace, are words that no longer excists in my vocabulary."

Krystal still gave him no answer, and Wolf decided to give her something more to think about.

"By the way, an old friend of us both just arrived earlier today. I'm sure he'll come down and visit you soon."

Freya watched away as the doctor, the talented Boxer that had got the job after the bloodhound had passed away from old age, slowly cut open the fabric of her pants around the wound.

"Got sprayed by molten metal after a plasma shot hit the bulkhead to close to me." She told him as he started to remove the remains of the now dried steel and blood from the wound. The doctor worked in utter silence, skilled and efficent, and it took only a couple of minutes before he started to stitch the wound together.

As he put the final bandage over the wound, another person walked into the room. Freya looked up and saw a glimpse of a dark cat dressed in an expensive, tailored suit. The cat removed his sunglasses, revealing the white mark under his right eye. Freyas jaw dropped down as she recognised the man. "Panther?" She stuttered surprised.

Odin jumped down from his fighter and walked up alongside Fox and Tiberius. "Empty?" He said as he overheard their conversation. "I'm not entirely sure."

[Tiberius]

"Scanners." said Fox as he took out a scanning device. Tiberius took his out to and started pacing, looking for a sign of some sort.

[Asper Sarnoff]

"And what does the Scouter say about this planets power level?" Odin joked. "I don't need scanners to tell me we're not alone here. I've got that feeling I get when I'm being watched by someone I can't see, and I don't like it one single bit."

He bent down and grabbed a handfull of sand, letting it drizzle out of his hand as he lifted it up in the air again. "This planet was where my father lost his arm. During the Venomian invasion of this backwater planet several years before the Lylat wars."

[Kursed]

"Scanners." said Fox as he took out a scanning device. Tiberius took his out to and started pacing, looking for a sign of some sort.

"We've got nothing."KAri reported for her and Alex as the two  Vixens lookedaroun scanning the horizon.

"Don't tell me this is what I get for saving Freya from those oversized Anglars."Krystal muttered.

[Asper Sarnoff]

"If you remember correctly, Krystal, then you'll know it wasn't by your hand my daughter was saved from their claws. And after the war ended, you left us for that... idiot! The one who had forced you away, and let you rot in chains onboard that pirate frigate.

You also told the pup everything about us. You disobeyed my trust in you, and that is something which I'm not going to forget anytime soon." Wolf sneered at her.

Cliff and Attila still kicked around that ball of electrical tape, as they giggled moronically.

[Tiberius]

"Scanners won't do you good here." said a voice from beyond.

"Who are you?" said Tiberius

"An old friend." said the voice. A figure approached them from the distance. Looked like a dog about Fox's height. It was Bill Grey. EX-CDF captain and leader of a new resistance.

"Bill!" said Fox. "Is that really you?"

"You've barely changed, Fox. Still the old fellow I knew from the war." He walked up to him and shook his hand. "The compound's this way if you'll follow me." he started walking to a random location in the desert. "You might want to gear up. It's a long walk and a sandstorm's kicking up." He put on a face mask to protect him from the upcoming sandstorm.

Tiberius locked his Arwing up after grabbing an ermegency helmet and some garb like gloves and a jacket.

Fox did the same.

[Kursed]

Kari and Alex already had on  robes and a mask over their mouths.

"So how did a famous person Like you end up here?"KAri asked.

[Tiberius]

"I went into exile when I realized corruption was spreading." said Bill. "My team and I formed this resistance and found CDF troops before they were scalped and made into drones." said Bill.

[Kursed]

The two girls shuddered at the mention of the drones "Please don't mention the drones those things  even make  our brains scream!" They both said regaining control of thier spasming  arms.

[Asper Sarnoff]

Odin was bumbling along the group, making up the rear. While Bill Grey was a legendary war hero, some of his recent experiences had told him to be constantly on guard. He had grabbed his bag from his Wolfen before he locked it down and covered up its air intakes. If to much sand got into the powerfull, but fragile engines, he'd have little choice but to let it be beamed aboard the Great Fox again, and take it all apart for a total overhauling.

"And why should I believe you? You gave me your word that you would never give up Starwolf for Fox, and still you did." Wolf growled threatingly at her. "I'm done with you. You'll make fine bait for the pup, if he has truly changed enough to actually come to your rescue this time."

Wolf left the room, and quickly after, two of the guards entered again, placing themself on both sides of the hanging vixen.

Freya pushed her muzzle deep into the chest of Panther as she held him in a truly hearthfeelt hug. "It's been so long uncl... I mean, Panther. I didn't think I'd see you again!"

The large cat laughed in response. "You can still call me uncle Panther if you want to, my little space rose." He said, gently freeing himself of her grip. "I had to come and visit you after it came to my ear Starwolf had risen once again. I'd wish I could say I was going to stay for a while, but I'll sadly have to leave tomorrow. Important business meeting. Something I can't miss unfortunatly." He answered as he tidied up his suit.

"I think your teammates are waiting for you. Go and hold that debriefing while I have a long talk with your dad. After that, we'll be able to chat again."

Freya realised he was compeltely right. While the mission had been a huge success, she could not afford to bask in the glory for long. She had to strike while the iron was still hot.

"Okay, I'll be looking foreward to it!" She said as she left the medical bay, heading downstairs to see how Silver was faring with the Starcat.

[Kursed]

After Wolf had gotten out of ear range Krystal looked around her head dropping "I left Star Wolf for Cerinia not  Fox..."KRystal growled

Silver let the repaired StarCat off the jack and back down onto it's nose wheel. With a few kicks to the tire, he decided it was secure. Then he walked back to the maintenance panel where he had replaced the broken hose and re-filled the hydraulic fluid. He shut the panel with a slam, then patted the ship's belly.

"There, that wasn't so bad, was it?"

"Do you always talk to your ship like that?"

Silver jumped and turned around at the sound of Freya's voice.

"Heh, uhh... well... Sort of." he stuttered. "What happened to your leg?" he said, changing the subject as he noticed the bandages. "And if you're hurt, why do you look so happy? Was the mission that well done?"

[Kursed]

Krystal sighed hopeing Freya was alright she had always had the feeling that star wolf and starfox were more like two friends competing than enemie's besides With malon around  and considering they just raided one of malons ships it was likely the two teams would be working together again.

"Heh, I guess I'm just glad I did something right for a change." She tried to put weight on her leg, only for her face to controt in pain. he was forced to sit down. Still, she tried to shrug off the gravity of her injury.

"I wasn't careful on the Cruiser, had a close call with a plasma weapon. Still glad it was my leg and not my face...

(Dudes, i definately think i missed something while i was gone. Who's Malon?)

Krystal Still floated around in the cointainment field  she hated being in it but at the same time it was a bit relaxing. "COULD YOU GUARDS QUIET DOWN AT LEAST I"M Trying to relax here!" Krystal growled at the two guards who were playing Dice behind the field container.

She tried to reach out to Freya not to escape but to see how the young She-wolf was doing.
