Star Fox: The Next Generation Chapter 1

"How nice of you to finally join me, Mr. McKarter. And well done" He brought up a file on the holomonitor of his desk computer so he could see too. "I read your report. Now we can safely use that territory to our advantage and spread our influence to rid of those rebels once and for all." The image phased out. "I also admire your sense of puctuallity. First to perform a mission, first to arrive. But punctuallity won't get you where I am. It takes charisma and the ability to satisfy needs while also benefitting from it. Only then can you find leadership." said Malon. He sat down at his desk. The desk was only the second largest peice of furniture. There were two black leather couches. But one would not want to know who's hide it came from. Steven sat down and still stared at him. "Another thing required for leadership is trustworthyness. Or else all is lost." he moved some data disks over and stacked them. "Mr. McKarter, do you trust me?" he asked.

Steve thought deeply. He wants to trust him, but Steve's heart says to not. Steve thought for a second, then said, "Yes, sir, I trust you with all my life."

Steve thought deeply. He wants to trust him, but Steve's heart says to not. Steve thought for a second, then said, "Yes, sir, I trust you with all my life."

Malon raised an eyebrow. "Fascinating." He pulled out a data disk and set it on the desk for him. "That is the dossier on your new squad. Your primary mission is to beat the other mercinary teams to the bounty I put up. And I know you will. You don't want to know what will happen if you fail." A notice came up on the desk. Venom had been conquered. "It looks as though Corneria will finally be clean. Venom has been taken by our armies finally. All factories will be transferred to MacBeth and waste will be transported to Venom. Even Zoness will be cleaned." said Malon. "Im sure you will be happy with that. But Starfox won't. They want us to look bad. They want to try and keep it here." he said. "I want you to patrol the transports to Venom once the job is done here." he tapped some controls that only he could see. He made an offer to mercinaries for a waste transportation escort and said it was to clean Corneria. Starfox will fall head first into this trap. He put in a note, there will be others and come armed with weapons ready.  "We will wait for the others, and then we will begin breifing. He left the large room to a door on the side. Half of the room was window. The other half. a trophy case with heads of victims and aquired artifacts. One was a stolen Cerinian lore gem that held information only people with Cerinian blood could see.

The next morning, as Cliff and 2 of the slave girls sipped mimosa while in Hurkha's jacuzzi, they watched a movie on the TV.  One Cornerian bandit shot at the other, but that Cornerian bandit who was shot didn't fall dead.  He removed a piece of laser proof Lucite material from under his coat, the material of that Lucite had 2 holes in the top of it, with a cord ran through them.  The cord held the Lucite rectangle around the second bandit's neck, to shield him from the shots fired at him.  That bandit then shot the first bandit, and killed him.

"Laser proof armor! Brilliant!" said Cliff, as he hugged the 2 girls in the hot tub with him.

Attila shut off the TV, and tossed the remote into the jacuzzi, but Cliff caught it just in time.

He set the remote down on the drink tray.  "What the hell are you doing!?" he asked Attila.

"Get going, we got work to do..." said Attila.

Cliff and Attila got dressed, ate, got their gear and weapons ready, and kissed the girls goodbye for the day...

"The local businesses that paid Hurkha protection know that he's dead, but they won't pay us protection...so we gotta make them pay!" said Attila.

"Who are they?" asked Cliff.

"Well, there are the shops at the mall in the nearby city, and the sports bar as well.  The sports bar bought protection from a security guard, rent-a-cop agency, and the mall stores are being jerks...we break the windows of the mall stores, and take out whoever is supplying the protection to that sports bar." said Attila.  "Right!" said Cliff.

They got to work...first target: the mall stores...

A highly intelligent robot, whose size

was that of a standard cornerian, entered

the room. "Mr. Malon, I am 'The Liutenant'.

Our Commander has shown simpathy for your

cause, and I voluntered myself to aid you."

He said, and then looked at Steve.

Steve looked at the robot. Looks like I'm not the only one, Steve thought.

[Tiberius]

"Yes, yes. I have been expecting you. You will aid, Mr. McKarter in escorting this waste shipment to Venom. There will be people trying to destroy it, and we don't want any of those chemicals to turn into bombs. If you happen to come across Starfox, capture them and bring them to me at all costs." said Malon. He watched to two nod, confirming his orders. But other than that they didn't move. "Well what are you two standing here for? Get to work!"

had sent him a stock Black Star,

althrough he was more interested

in using his own powers. He

to channel his powers through his

Cliff and Attila took Cliff's ship to the mall.  They went inside, activated their barrier shields, and began to shoot out the store windows.  They shot at patrolling security guards who had started shooting at them. The police arrived, and Cliff and Attila traded gunfire with them, as they still smashed out all the store windows.  In a matter of minutes, they had achieved their goals.

They got out of their before the authorities could storm the place.

Cliff and Attila reloaded their barrier shield supply, and got more ammo back at their Palace.  They also picked up some explosives.

They went back to the mall a few hours later, planted a bomb at The Tarbrush Cafe, since they were the only Mall Business that still refused to pay them protection, the other businesses paid the money they had owed Cliff and Attila. 

Cliff and Attila then headed to the sports bar...

They flew towards it, and Cliff used his ships lasers to blast the 2 security guards out front, killing them.  Cliff and Attila then landed, and began to make a mess of the front dining area.  The owner heard the ruckus, and came out to talk to them...

"Aww, hell, not this crap again!  These idiots operate out of DPB Security security systems around the block...just sort it out amongst yourselves." said the owner.

"We'll see you later, butthead!" said Cliff.  "Yeah, yeah..." said the owner.  "Shut up!" Attila sneered, poking the barrel of his shotgun into the owner's face, trying to intimidate him.

Cliff and Attila then sped around the block.  They found DBP Security Systems, and heard the guards inside the walled courtyard in front of the main entrance..."We gotta pack up and leave, before Cliff and Attila kill us!" they said.  Attila and Cliff grinned at each other, and tossed their grenades that they took from the Palace armory earlier, and the grenades exploded in the courtyard, killing the guards, or blowing up their armored vessel, killing any remaining guards.

The side wall exploded, and the top 2 bosses of DBP security sped out on jet bikes.  "After them!" Attila said, as he and Cliff got into Cliff's ship.  They pursued the 2 DBP bosses, and Cliff blasted them with ease, killing each of them.  The Sports Bar paid the back money owed to Cliff and Attila.

Later that day, Cliff and Attila had a problem. The bomb they planted at the Tarbrush Cafe failed to detonate, the owner and the cops found it, and the mall was 100% cordoned off by the cops as they searched the mall for the culprits. Nobody but a cop could get 100 feet of that mall.

But Cliff and Attila had a plan.  They would park Cliff's ship near a storage locker, pick a fight with the cops, lure them into the storage locker, where they'd over power the cops, tie them up, gag them, and steal their uniforms and one of their squad cars.

They did just that, and now they were in a cop squad car, and drove towards the mall.

"...not a bad fit!" Attila said, examining his uniform.  "...bit tight around the crotch, though..." said Cliff.  "Tel me about it.." Attila replied.  Cliff swerved to avoid crashing into the police blockade, and he drove through the only open entrance, as the other cops waved him through.  "Easy, Cliff!  No cop drives that badly!" said Attila.  "Aw, shaddup!" said Cliff.  They got to the mall, parked outside, and passed the cops guarding the entrance.

"Hey officer, nice badge!" said Cliff.  "Real smooth, Cliff!" Attila muttered.

They went into the Cafe, passing the two guards outside its entrance, not speaking to them.  Attila reset the timer on the bomb.  "How much time we got?" asked Cliff.  "5 seconds!" said Attila.  "5 seconds!?  Let's go!" Cliff said, dragging Attila out the door.  The two of them just barely made it as the Cafe exploded in flames.

"Don't rip my arm off!  Damn!" Attila complained, pulling out of Cliff's grip.  "Sorry!" said Cliff.  "S'okay!  But we gotta get outta here!"  Attila replied, as an alarm went off.  The cops were not after them.  Cliff and Attila got out of the mall, into their stolen squad car, and then they went back to where they originally were, they changed out of their cop uniforms, leaving them in the squad car, then they put their regular clothes back on, got into Cliff's ship, and  managed to elude the authorities, before making it safely back to the Palace.  The other business i the protection ring paid additional back protection money out of fear (even the sports bar paid more), and then an agreement was reached, the business saw that Cliff and Attila meant business, and from now on they would pay 5,000 credits a day to Cliff and Attila.

"We did it!"  Attila and Cliff said, as they celebrated with the girls.  They now started hiring Ruffians like those on Sargasso to protect them and collect on the protection money.

"We oughtta brag about this to Wolf, Freya, and Silver!" said Attila.  "Yeah!  To think those buttheads doubted us!" said Cliff.

(okay, sorry for the throwback to a certain video game, but I had fun writing this xD )

Steve left the room and saw that his ship was already there. Good service, he thought. He looked at the Liutenant doing something with his ship. Steve ignored it and went in his ship, then launched.

Seconds later he saw the waste transport, and Steve flew above it.

[Kursed]

"Something beeped in the background "That's odd."Tigress noted running to  the video screen "Fox we have some odd space craft just breaking orbit Of Corneria donno why the sensors would pick something that simple up."Tigress added.

"So i'm guessing you'll be here soon?" KAri asked.

[Tiberius]

He looked at it. "Its a help request. They said come armed, because of their precious cargo. They said there will most likely be conflicts. Very high pay too." said Fox.

[Kursed]

"I donno sounds too good to be true right now Fox.

"Agreed" Both Alex and KAri replied.

[Tiberius]

(well that's depressing. I was trying to start the first conflict between the new team and Starfox)

"Then Ti and I will go. Serena and Alex will take the Great Fox to you. Unless you think you can be ready for it, Alex." said Fox.

[Kursed]

(Depressing that they have a bad feelign about it.)

"No i can handle it Fox Serena practicvally handles everything anyway."Alex replied.

[Tiberius]

"I meant you instead of me." said Fox smirking. "I think you can handle yourself." he said, nudging the two toward the door. "I'll zoom right there if you can't handle it." said Fox.

[Kursed]

"WHAT?!"Alex asked "Ti do I have to?"

[Tiberius]

"Woah, woah, woah. Wait a minute. Don't you think this is a little absurd dad?" "Well, she said she could handle it. Go ahead." said Fox as the doors shut. Ti's ears fell back with his tail as he looked toward Alex. "I'm not too sure about this either, Alex. But we should go. He probably thinks its nothing important."

Alex sighed  then started walking for the hanger.

The first shock of seeing the shewolf had passed, and Odin had returned to his cool and collected self. Walking up to the bars, making a point that he wasn't afraid of her. At least not much, he was still on guard. For a second, he imagined how it would feel her grabbing hold of his arms and pulling his head into the bars before he could react.

"Let's just say the custom officer didn't have the same sense of humor as I." He growled, staring defiantly in Freyas eyes. Despite them being filled with rage, she had the most beautifull eyes he had ever seen. The moonlight coming trough the windows sparkled in them, as if they were sapphires.

"And you? One would think you just had to swish your tail in front of the guards, and you'd be out'ta here." He continued. "And how comes daddys little girl are all by herself now?"

She tensed a little, and pulled away, doing a slow circuit around her half of the cell instead, her back to him. It wasn't so much that he had stepped back up to challenge her, she'd expected as much. It was what she'd seen in his eyes. There was something there that was warm and gentle and far away. And it terrified her.

"That's none of your business!" She growled. She heard him walk away and sit down on his bed. She turned slightly, and unfamiliar pang of guilt at his put off expression. "...I came on... personal business. My father doesn't know I'm here."

Cliff and Attila contacted Wolf on Sargasso, leaving him a message.

"Hey, butthead!  Lookit what weeeee got!" Cliff bragged, showing the Palace Great Room off in the background.

"Yeah...still hate your daughter's decision in henchmen!?" asked Attila.

They then ended the communique.

Cliff and Attila spent the day partying with the slave girls, and hiring new Ruffians as Palace security.  Before the day's end, they had enough reputable personnel.

Said the Liutenant, then he quickly

got close to the transport.

Steve saw a Black star, and he assumed it was the Liutenant earlier.

"Uhm, who are you?", Steve asked

"It is myself, the one

you met earlier." Said

the Liutenant, in a rather

cordial tone.

"Where are you from?", Steve asked back.
