Fira-Astrali
(Sorry I've been so sluggish, guys >.<)A groan finally rose out of Odin, and Freya breathed a sigh of relief. His good hand fell limply at his side, and she picked it up, giving it a squeeze. He squeezed back, and she was satisified that he was still alive. He rolled over slightly, and his eyes opened. She called his name softly."I'm... I'm fine.""Fine my a$$" she barked as she helped him to his feet, not easy, since he was such a big man. He shook himself off, more symbolically for Freya's sake, of the pain. Then he went about his plan, making small wax circles to hold the acid around the base of the bars. Then he just sat down on his bed, smiled knowingly, and closed his eyes.Freya had been watching from a distance the whole time, occasionally glancing around to look for guards. Once Odin had finished his handiwork, she went over for a little inspection of her own."Odin... Odin." Her voice was very calm. When he opened his eyes, he was faced with intense eyes, glaring down on him with as much icy danger as was possible from a woman so small, maybe even more. "Do you really think this is going to work?" she asked in a tone of voice that demanded the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you god.He kept her gaze, trying to figure out what to say. Seconds stretched into what seemed like millenia. He wasn't looking away, that was good, that meant...And then he broke her gaze. It felt like something in her chest broke with it. She turned her back on him, leaning against the bars. This wasn't meant to be a double operation. How stupid of her to think it might have been... Geo Stelar
"Ok then, sir," Steve said, then readied his ship for refueling and restocking his weapon supply. If we ever get to fight again, Steve thought. I might as well help them again in a certain way.

She turned her back on him, leaning against the bars. This wasn't meant to be a double operation. How stupid of her to think it might have been...Odin threw another side glance to Freya, but she still had her back towards him. Words weren't necessary. She had seen straight trough him, and realised she weren't a part of his escape plans. It felt as if an iron fist had grabbed hold around his chest as he thought over the pain he were causing her at this very moment. When he had been beaten up, she had tried to intervene, when he was out, she had stretched out and gripped his hand.He were from Starfox, she from Starwolf. Wasn't it she who was supposed to be the cruel, cold person, not him? He never believed the galaxy was divided into black and white, but he hadn't figured that such a reversal of roles would take place. He felt terrible, he was about to abandon her for his own good. Let go of perhaps the one person he truly had feelings for, and leave her to die cold and alone in the darkness of this prison.Time passed, small bowls of food was sent in to them midday, and taken away quickly after. They didn't speak to each other, and Freya still sat with her back against him. With a loud sigh, Odin got up on his feet and walked up to the windows to check the bars. After a couple of solid jerk in them all, he realised they would still need quite a bit of etching before he could rip them out. He lifted up the potshard with the acid and held it, ready to fill up the circles of wax again. It was so pitifully little left he realised. He threw another glance at Freya's back, and once again felt the cold claws grip around his heart. After a while, he pulled himself together, and started to drip the acid into the wax circles. Satisfied, he turned away and walked up to the bar separating them, the one he had worked a little on earlier, and emptied what was left of the acid there. Twice as much as he had put in all of the other circles.Maybe we won't escape, but at least we will still be together....He dumped down on his matres again. Even how much he wanted to put the shewolf to ease, he could find the words which to tell her now. He would wait a few more hours, til midnight, and he would get her out. He vowed he would. Tiberius
Tiberius thought again, and got out, thinking it was an insult to try and help Odin. He walked up to the bridge to look around. He saw all of the operations, the workings of the ship and wondered what he could do now with all of this. But all he could do was wait and rearm. He was entirely healthy and trained himself for anything to come. Even betrayals now. But he wasn't ready. He had to bridge a gap that was forming between him and Alex. They haven't talked in days. Fira-Astrali
She sat in silence for a long time, not moving even when food was offered to her. She didn't feel hungry, didn't really feel anything. Odin didn't talk to her at all, making her even angrier. The least he could do was think up a good lie. To try and pretend he had a reason. She heard him sigh, heard him get up and replace the acid that had been used up. She glanced over at him, and was surprised to see that he was also refilling the acid around the bar separating the two of them. She looked away again as he started to get up. She didn't want him to think that she'd given him any quarter."Your little boyfriend piss you off already?" A grating voice asked her. She looked up to see the Doberman at her cell door. "Guess you wish you'd kept your mouth shut dont'cha?" And evil smile cut across his face. "Or, if you don't now, you will soon." He walked away laughing. Freya shivered. She felt her ears fold back against her head out of fear and stress, and she realized that this was the first time she'd ever been this scared. Before, she'd always had someone to fall back on, even if she had to worry about the rage from her father, she knew that he'd protect her from death or serious injury. And for a short time, Odin had been someone that she thought she could depend on, in her own twisted sense of ther word. Now that he'd shown his true colours, she had no one.Her head started to tip towards her chest, and she allowed herself to fall softly onto the cement, on her side. Sleep began to claim her, and she curled up in a ball, not sure how she would deal with tommorrow. The only thing she knew for sure was that, when morning came, she would be alone in her cell again. Asper Sarnoff
Only the moonlight shining trough the windows, and the faint lightning from the torches out in the hallway dimly illuminated the cell now. If it wasn't for Odin's excellent night vision, he wouldn't have been able to make an escape attempt at all. Once again, he walked around and checked the bars. He was now quite sure he would be able to break the one between him and Freya, but he was less sure about those in front of the window. In any case, it was time to wake up Freya, and put the plan into action. He stretched trough the bars, carefull placing a hand on her shoulder, and gently rocking her back and forth. "Freya, wake up." He whispered.Freya made a little yelp as she woke from her nightmare. She looked around, half asleep and not really sure who was gently shaking her. Finally her eyes focussed, and she couldn't hold back her surprise."Odin!?""Shh! Did you really think I'd leave without you?" He said with a grin. She didn't completely comprehend what he was saying. She couldn't believe that he was still there. He got up, and went to the weakened bar between them. One quick strike, and it broke easily, without much noise. Freya just watched him, dumb-founded. He walked over to the bars on the window, now the only thing between her and freedom."Coming?" He asked. That shook her out of her immediate stupor, and she squeezed through the tight space made from the broken bar. She took a quick look to make sure the coast was clear, then gave him the nod. Whether or not this was going to work, and they were going to be free, or whether it would all be for naught, they were about to find out... Asper Sarnoff
The look on Freyas face as it began to dawn upon her that he hadn't left without her made his heart skip a couple of beats. But, they still weren't out yet. He walked up to the windo and grabbed hold of the middle of the five bars separating them from freedom, all which would have to go if he would have any chance of squeezing trough."It's best if I do this. Stand back and catch me when they loosen." He said as he trew a glance back at Freya.Holding both his hands around the middle bar, he put his feet up on the wall, and slowly scaled up untill he were "standing" right over the window. He breathed in and out a few times heavily, to fill his body with oxygen in face of the tast it would have to overcome.Slowly, using his legs to push away, he started to put pressure onto the bar. At first it didn't budge, but as the pressure increased, he could hear a low, grinding noise as the metal started to tear. A few more seconds, and it broke loose entirely from the window, and Odin fell back towards the floor. If Freya hadn't catched him, he would have hit his head into the concrete floor, possibly taking him out."That's one." He said, slightly out of breath. He had purposefully put a few drops more acid into the middle ones than those at the edge. If he could take them all save for one of those at the edge, he would probably not be able to force his way trough the hole, but Freya might just be able to.He grabbed hold of another one, climbed up and ripped that out as well, easier than the first one."Well done!" Freya whispered in his ears as she caught him again. She had to take a hefty load each time he came falling, but when he had jepardized his own escape for her, and trusted her enough to keep him from falling and hitting the floor, she wasn't the one to let him down in return. The next one was considerably harder. While the acid had certainly had an effect, it had still left about half an inch of metal around the bottom of the bar. Drops of sweat started to ripple down Odin fur as he truly put all he had into breaking it. He heard the slow, steady breathing of Freya behind him, giving him the resolve to truly take what was left of energy in him and put it into use. Slowly, the bar started to give away. It wasn't the metal which gave up, but the concrete it was held in, weakened over many years in the salty climate, and now by the acid. A large handfull or so of dust fell down to the floor as Freya once again caught Odin. Now, only those at the edge remained, the worst ones.Panting heavily, Odin climbed up again and grabbed hold of the one on the far right. Once again, he started to push away, the large muscles bulged in vain against the seemingly impossible task. But then came the noise he had hoped for the most, the grinding that signaled it was about to give. But it wasn't that who gave up first. A loud snap could be heard, and an overwhelming pain in his left wrist caused him to gasp for his breath, but he stil held on with his right hand.It was obvious what had happened. The sinew conencting his hand to the Flexor muscle had snapped under the load. That arm would be of no use to him now.He let his head fall down to his chest. He had failed. The opening between the bars was to small for anyone of them to escape. Once again, he looked over his shoulder at Freya. She had also realised all their efforts had been in vain, he could clearly read that in her face.Somehow, the sight of her filled him with some kind of... He didn't know what is was, apart from that it floowed trough his veins, gave him the strenght and willpower to keep fighting.I'm not giving up now. I won't let her be left here to face the guards when the sun rise again. He gritted his teeth, and started to again push away from the wall with his feet. The injured arm was now hanging lifelessly down from his shoulder as he put every fibre left in his body to force the bar away. And, it worked. The shriek of metal echoed trough the cell as the bar finally let go, and Odin fell back into Freyas arms again. He was completely exhausted, could barely get up on his feet again even with her help."That's all I can do. You go now." He stuttered between his gasps for breath.Suddenly, Freyas face filled his view, so close their muzzles touched each other for a moment. "Never!" She whispered to him before she turned away from him and walked up to the window."You won't be able to rip out that last bar." Odin whispered behind her. She was atlethic, but still...She didn't answer, but instead started to move around, placing herself right where she needed to be. Going into a fighting stance, she waited for a few seconds before she spun around, swinging around and kicking her right leg high into the air, the heel of her boot connecting with the bar.She yelped in pain, as it didn't budge, but immediatly got into the stance again, lauching another kick, with the same result."It won't work."Odin said. "You'll break your ankle that way. Go, now!" But it fell upon deaf ears as she lauched another kick. A small grinding noise could once again be heard, but the bar remained fixed in place. The sound filled her with the resolve to put all she had left into the next kick, and as soon as it connected into the metal, the bar came undone and fell down on the outside. As the sun started to rise, it shone straigh trough the window, completely free of bars. Freedom was right in front of them, and they weren't going to refuse that offer.(Wow, that turned out quite long. Could you get us out of here Fira? )

Fira-Astrali
(Wow, that turned out quite long. Could you get us out of here Fira? )(My pleasure, if not a little delayed ^^; This is going to be incredibly long)Freya stumbled a little on her last strike, catching the bars that had once divided her and Odin for support. She turned to grin at him with a mix of relief and elation, which Odin gladly returned despite his crippling injury.A light turning on far down the hall wiped the smiles from their faces."Shit!" Freya cussed. She quickly judged the height of the window, formulating a plan in her mind. "This is going to hurt like hell," she warned Odin. He nodded and stood, clenching his teeth as he cradled his useless arm.Freya hoisted herself up through the window easily enough, slipping through and onto the soft, dewy grass without trouble. The smell was fresh and spicy, mingling with the salty sea air. It was a welcome taste in the back of her throat after the stale air of the prison. Turning and sizing up the width of Odin's shoulder compared to the window, she knew it wouldn't be near so easy for him."Ready?" she asked. Odin turned and looked behind him, listening to the yells of guards that were now racing down the hall."Let's blow this joint," he growled, and hefted himself up on his one working arm. he tried to push himself through on his own steam, but with one arm he didn't have enough manoeuvrability. "Give me your hand," Freya ordered, holding out her hand. Odin glared at her."I have one hand, and its kinda busy right now!""Jesus Christ," she growled, and grabbed Odin around the waist. His akward position in the window made it so she was practically right up against him, her head tucked under his chin. She took a deep breath to try and help him through, and she got a lung full of his scent. It knocked her for a loop. He smelled like something she couldn't explain, but thoroughly enjoyedThis is not a good sign More yells called her back to her senses before Odin had a chance to get suspicious. They sounded so close that they could be in the cell. She braced herself against the wall and pulled with all her might. Odin came through easier than she expected, and he half fell on her, crying out and cussing loudly. She didn't have time to be in pain, she pulled him to his feet and set of running, pushing him a little to do the same. The prison was set of from the city a bit, out on a rocky, island-like outcropping. The rocks thinned out as they ran, and became harder to run on. Freya was afraid that Odin would fall, or that the rocks would run out and leave them stranded on the prison island. Thankfully however, Odin stayed surefooted, and, while the stone had been battered away in some places to only a foot or so wide, with chilly lapping waves on either side that broke and soaked them to their knees, the rocks never completely disappeared. She could hear the guards screaming for them to stop, that they would open fire, but they had already reached the rickety wooden gangways that led into either the undercity, the city proper, or the docks. Odin paused, not sure which way to go, but Freya grabbed his elbow and lead him down into the undercity, where they soon got lost in the crowds. Freya held tight to him, trying to make sure that he didn't get lost in the crowd or get jostled to much. Her eyes flickered wildly over the heads of people, trying to spot the police. She caught sight of one, a big bulldog that she thought might have seen them, and she ducked down an alley to get away from them. She pulled him about halfway down it and made him sit. She unzipped his coat against cries from him to the contrary, and slipped the wounded arm inside. Zipping it back up, it made a makeshift sling to protect it.The scream of a police siren made them both jump. It shot passed their alley, but they both knew that it would be back. The deploying of the police had been swift and thorough, and it was obvious that there would be no escape. They couldn't possibly get into the city proper, and the undercity was easy to cordon off and search from top to bottom. Freya looked sadly at Odin, feeling like she had failed him somehow.A small cough drew her attention. A young feline woman was standing in a doorway, looking at them with a sly smile on her face. She disappeared from view almost as soon as Freya noticed her, but the door was left open. She blinked, confused. Another cruiser drove past, slower this time.Freya grabbed Odin's hand and helped him to his feet, and together they slipped into the still open door. As soon as they entered, it closed again, and the woman drew the lock across the door."Thank you," Freya said. The young woman smiled."We try to do out part, thwart the police, you know," she said with the similar smile. Her clothes were very strange. She was wearing natural fibres like cotton and leather instead of the more modern synthetics. Her Midnight blue fur was done up in long, thin braids that were studded with glass beads. Tiny markings were painted above heavily lidded eyes. Looking up a small flight of stairs and into her home, Freya saw that the rafters were exposed, and hanging from them was an assortment of drying herbs and other strange things. The room itself was small and open concept. A bed was placed in the middle, separating the small but well used kitchen from a desk filled with old, yellowing papers. She thought maybe she could see a laptop under the piles of paper. She knew without asking that Odin was in pain, and she bade him to lay down on the bed. He refused, but a little more-than-gentle prodding forced him onto it. He felt that it was a pointless endevour, that lying down would not help an injured arm, but within 20 minutes, he was fast asleep. The pain had sapped his strength, and his lack of sleep the night before put him down for the count. Freya took up a spot on a chair next to him, also feeling the strain. The feline slipped into the kitchen, and returned with a mug of hot tea, as if she'd known that the two would show up."I guess this must be a little strange, huh?" Freya asked. The feline, who's name turned out to be Celeste, laughed lightly"No not really, I often open my door to those on the run. It's just a matter of finding me in time.""That's very kind of you.""There are several of us throughout the undercity. I can't tell you where they are though, unless the police catch up to you tomorrow.""You won't have to worry about that. Not from me at least. I won't be staying the night.""Oh? I doubt your beau will be able to move until morning.""He's not my beau," Freya answered sharply. "Besides, it's just better that I not be here when he wakes up.""Why?"Because if I'm here when he wakes up, we'll have to accept that there is something going on between us, and then all hell will break loose"...Because it's just better that way." The look on Celeste's face said that she could read Freya's mind. She just shook her head and returned to the kitchen."Do you think that running away makes problems go away? Or do you think that it just makes things bigger?"Freya did not answer, she just sat next to Odin and watched him breathe for hours. She didn't want to leave. She wanted to take his hand and stay through the night. But she knew that nothing good would come from anything that was brewing now. Odin was a member of Star Fox. No matter how she tried to work it out in her head, they were still enemies. They always would be. She also thought of her father. That was a problem that she had run away from. That was a problem that she needed to fix. A problem that she would fix very soon. Celeste had gone into a back room. This was her chance to leave unchallenged. She got up from the chair and walked away, calm and purposefully, not giving herself a chance to falter by looking back. She made it to the top of the stairs."Freya?"She cringed. She turned around to see Odin staring at her. "Where are you going?""I'm leaving," she relied calmly. Odin struggled to a sitting position."How am I going to get in contact with you.""...I don't know if its a good idea if we talk to each other again." Even as she said it, she knew it sounded weak."Why? Because I'm in Star Fox?""We're enemies, Odin.""I don't care, Freya." How easy it was to change her mind. She hesitated for only a few more seconds. She walked back over and programmed something into his comm bracelet, which he had managed to hide from the guards."This is my IP. Send me a message, something innocuous, and I'll try to find an encrypted channel to get back to you." She didn't give him time to thank her, or to reply to the positive, she just got up and walked out the door and into the rainy night, forcing Odin out of her mind by focussing on thoughts of finding a way to get to her Wolfen.(K this isn't that great. i think i'll probably edit this 2moro, but it's like 1 in the friggin morning >.<)
Asper Sarnoff
(Was later for me when I talked with you last night. , I like it! You have something in mind for how I can help Freya get back with Starwolf?)"You should really rest a bit more before you left the planet." Celeste told Odin in a knowing voice as he was making a sling which to stabilize the wounded arm to his chest."Wish I could ma'am." Odin noted as he bent down and bit over the last spare bit of bandages. "But I've got friends waiting for me, and I don't want to cause them any further worries."He put on his jacket, leaving the left sleeve empty. "I wish there was any way I could repay your hospitality. But I've got nothing of value on me." He said as he opened the door outside, and looked watchfull both up and down the street for any signs of problem. The felines laughter echoed trough the small room. "Perhaps not ON your person, but what you carry within your heart is truly worth more than a mountain of gold." She told him. "Nothing makes me happier than seeing what you and the shewolf share. That's all the reward I'll ever need."Odin smiled in reply. "Thank you Celeste, I hope our will paths cross again some day." And with that, he walked out and closed the door behind himself. He let the fingers on his right hand caress the controls of The Dragon as he left the Gamma space station of Sector Z and entered open space. The detour had cost him a few hours, but the doctor that resided there was good, and had patched him up as good as new. Now, the team wouldn't have to worry about that. The arm truly feelt as good as new, and in his thoughts, he sent his thanks to his father, who had recommended that surgeon to him long ago.He typed in a few commands into the keypanel under his left fingers, and the view of his HUD changed. "You've got 7 new messages." flashed transparently in front of his eyes. And by the looks of it, all seemed to be from Starfox. He sighed out loud as he opened up the encrypted communications link to them. This would probably require quite the explanation, and he most certainly didn't want them to know about Freya. Not yet."Yes?" Came the response in the almost completely realistic voice of Serena, the AI of the Great Fox."Hi Serena, Odin reporting in." He said expressionlessly, thinking about how he would explain his long absense."My God! Odin! We've been so worried for you." It came back. Odin knew the AI well enough to know she had as complex and real emotions as any living being, and feelt a little sorry for causing such worry for her."It's a long story Serena... Could you transform me your coordinates, and inform the rest of the team that I'm on my way?" Odin said, putting the fighter into a gentle turn as the coordinates appeared on the screen, and pointed out the direction to him."Thanks Serena." He said as he started to punch in the coordinates for the jump to lightspeed.
